Have you ever seen a movie on TV that got censored? You hear a line that got re-dubbed or changed to something else. You feel ripped off. Now movies censored for television are far and few between, so hearing a dubbed over movie now is kind of a pleasant surprise! TV edits were a goldmine and I was missing out. So let’s look at this unique practice from an almost bygone age.

November 23, 2022 at 9:26 amI remembered a few possibly offensive censorships in movies like Judge Dredd and Die Hard with a Vengeance. In Judge Dredd, one time they changed a line to this. “Pig. Judge Pig.” WOW right police officers are suddenly getting offended by the reworking of lines there. Die Hard with a Vengeance, I’m very surprise James didn’t talk about this particular one. There’s a scene early in the movie where John wears a huge sign with an offensive message towards African to African American communities. Now the sign says this I’m not joking. “I hate everyone.” How is that less offensive than the original sign?
