October 22, 2021 at 5:41 pmIt seems to me that the golden age of zombie films is way over… we will not get another Night of the living dead or Return of the living dead ever again, every zombie movie nowadays is practically the same, which is a shame

October 22, 2021 at 7:26 pmYou must see Serbian vampire movie ”Leptirica” aka ”The She-Butterfly” from 1973. scariest movie in Ex-Yugoslavia for 20 years (on IMDb has 7.2 /10 rating) and ”Izbavitelj” aka ”The Rat Savior” from 1976. about society of rat people…
And you have ”Gosti iz Galaksije” aka ”Visitors from the Arkana Galaxy” from 1981. SF trash horror movie directed by Dusan Vukotic (He directed ”Surogat” (“Ersatz” aka ”The Substitute”), which won an Oscar for best animated short in 1961, becoming the first foreign film to do so) with visual special effects done by Jan Svankmajer (space monster designer).
You have ”Variola Vera” from 1982. (it is about real 1972 Yugoslav smallpox outbreak with Rade Serbedzija in lead role) and ”Strangler vs. Strangler” (1984) Yugoslavian black comedy answer to ”Psycho” and ”Maniac”.

October 25, 2021 at 1:38 amI feel like you really undersold just why there was an exteneded period without films in Cambodia. The story behind that is a horror in itself.

October 29, 2021 at 12:53 amWas this edited by a high school student taking a media class? He said “stop” so show a picture of a stop sign, he said “blender” so just show a still of a blender. Oh he said “no” about something, show the thing and put a big “NO” stamp on it.
