Keane Reeves was born in Lebanon, not Canada.

If this isn’t real life, I don’t know what is.

Canada has a long tradition of b-horror and grindhouse style films going far back as the 70s and still going today. There’s some really great movies like End of the Line and Hobo with A Shotgun that are really gory and often very funny. I wish more people knew about this side of the Canadian film industry.

    Calling erotic scenes ”pornographic” 😏
I love Cronenberg and that movie somehow flew under my radar! I’ll have to check it out

That opening had me in stitches, using that music from Epcot.

I was hoping for a cover of My Bloody Valentine (the original), which is a Canadian cult classic. Oh well. Maybe next year you guys will cover it.

Ah Canada. The country whos favorite method for success was to say the movies take place in the US

No shout out to the actress Marilyn Chambers? She was highly influential in the porn industry and made Behind the Green Door which is notable for making porn movies like actual films. This was her attempt to make actual movies, not just porn. Sadly, she never cast off the stigma of being a porn actress and her casting in this was highly controversial.

BTW, Canadian horror films are awesome! there are so many. My favorites are a tie between Pin and Pontypool.

Rage is also the french word for rabid and the title of the movie in french for that matter. Most movies here have french title.

Haha, I always remembered this as the “spiked penis armpit butthole movie,” glad he didn’t forget to make fun of that. On top of that, there’s a scene where we’re looking through a sniper scope or something and the “crosshairs” are the biggest, most uselessly obscuring things I’ve ever seen.
