October 27, 2021 at 6:26 pmCanada has a long tradition of b-horror and grindhouse style films going far back as the 70s and still going today. There’s some really great movies like End of the Line and Hobo with A Shotgun that are really gory and often very funny. I wish more people knew about this side of the Canadian film industry.

October 31, 2021 at 7:26 pmNo shout out to the actress Marilyn Chambers? She was highly influential in the porn industry and made Behind the Green Door which is notable for making porn movies like actual films. This was her attempt to make actual movies, not just porn. Sadly, she never cast off the stigma of being a porn actress and her casting in this was highly controversial.
BTW, Canadian horror films are awesome! there are so many. My favorites are a tie between Pin and Pontypool.

October 31, 2021 at 11:56 pmHaha, I always remembered this as the “spiked penis armpit butthole movie,” glad he didn’t forget to make fun of that. On top of that, there’s a scene where we’re looking through a sniper scope or something and the “crosshairs” are the biggest, most uselessly obscuring things I’ve ever seen.
