My choice for Worst Film Ever Made is 1967’s Hillbillys in a Haunted House. Not only was it bad on many levels, but it sadly wastes the talents of Lon Chaney Jr., John Carradine, and Basil Rathbone in his final film. But it also commits what I consider the cardinal sin of any movie, country music. Yes they sprinkle some southern-fried ditties throughout the first hour, but they then decide to devote the last act to a freakin’ concert with some then-famous singers of the genre. For an 80-minute movie, you have the first hour being the lamest horror/comedy ever made, but then make the last twenty be a small concert film of country songs from the worst genre of music in my life, and I want to throw my TV out the window for wasting all of 80 minutes that I’ll never get back.

A few come to mind.
The first Hostel movie. Not only the Worst horror film I’ve ever watched (and I’m 48 and my first horror film, Dawn of the dead 1978) but an awful film overall. Over half the movie is two losers sexual exploits.
The latter half, dull boring “horror”

Another film comes to mind “Juno” god awful music and perhaps the most Dull movie ever.
Forced myself to watch after the first 20 minutes.

Hello, I just watched your you tube video of visiting shooting locations for “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” and what a heartfelt moment when you came across the stump which used to be the three palm trees shaped into a W — I teach English, and the story “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein came to mind, when the tree is reduced to a stump at the end — don’t know if you’ve read it, but I’m sure you’d enjoy it — I also teach film (attended NYU) so I’m a cinemaphile like you!
