Scott the Woz was in town for the TooManyGames convention, so we invited him to our offices at Screenwave Media to discuss video game movies. Unfortunately, James is busy working on upcoming videos, like the rest of Monster Madness and AVGN episode 200, so Justin and Kieran joined Scott on this adventure. Together they rank the best and worst video game movies of all time.

October 17, 2021 at 3:10 pmThe best videogame movie for me is the first Resident Evil.
The Mario movie I didn’t like as a kid, but older I appreciate it much more. It’s funky.
Final Fantasy the Spirits Within.. It was BEAUTIFUL at the time, the best. Although the rhythm of the movie felt too rushed. A mini -serie format might have been a better way to tell the story.

October 18, 2021 at 6:23 pmBest videogame movie I ever saw is ‘Detention’, it’s based on a Taiwanese adventure/horrorgame that’s set during the military dictatorship in that country. (Might be an interesting movie for Monster Madness around the world too).
