That’s because they don’t want idiots like to you to spam the chat system with dumb posts…which you did anyways in your attempt to be relevant.

Yeah, I gathered that. I wasn’t intending to say it myself. No need to be insulting.

Not insulting…just being honest. You proceeded to enter 3 comments, one of which is simply to say a word you can’t say.

Yes to keep someone else from saying it, like they do on the Nostalgia Critic page. Glad it’s not allowed though. Anyway, fun game and play through.

James, here’s a doom mod you should look at. I think its inspired in the AVGN character.

It’s been a long ride guys. I feel like this is *the* video that helped propel you into the spotlight too. I remember laughing my ass off when I originally saw the nerd episode.

10 years? I’m getting fucking old. James must have been my age when he made the original video!

The most famous AVGN joke IMO is “Cow-a-fucking-piece-of-dog-shit”… which is also from this episode so happy anniversary!

  • June 29, 2016 at 1:33 pm

Cool. Now go back and play Super Scope’s Battleclash properly by charging the gun.

  • June 29, 2016 at 1:59 pm

I don’t think the jokes are invalidated at all. The nerd is funny because we’ve all been there. We’ve all played games and were like, “the fuck do you do here?????” when it’s often times super obvious and easy, but when you’re frustrated, it’s hard to see that. That’s why the nerd works so well and resonates with so many gamers.

Just saying, I’ve had this game since it came out and I’ve been able to do that jump Everytime with no issues:)

You were talking about the water stage with the electrical thing that it is hard, well, you have got to try Donkey Kong 2 on SNES, you give 15 coins to the big alligator with the spikes wood, play a stage, then give another 15 coins and now you are at the hardest shit ever especially the ((parrot with wind goes right and left)) I even dare MIKE to do it .. I did it two days ago, though it’s hard but it’s so fun! 🙂 well you try it next monday? please.

  • June 29, 2016 at 9:40 pm

when i was a kid i got stuck there and never figured out u could walk over it. I didnt figure out u could jump there either so i thought that was a great joke.

  • June 29, 2016 at 10:52 pm

I watched it, the original one, it was hilarious man, you’re the best nerd, you know where I from? Big fan from Iran, yeah, you got fan from Iran.

So, the deal with this jump from my understanding is that in order to make the jump you need to be on a specific pixel that lines up with the edge of the platform. It also only works on platforms that are one tile thick, which is why it won’t work on the one jump in the Dam level. Thanks for the re-revisit!

i used to beat this game back when i was in 3rd grade…1989-1990. was one of my favorite games back then. played the heck out of it.

it takes about 30-40 mins to beat the whole game, as long as you can get to the last stage without using any continues. and if shredder touches you once your dead and have to play the whole last level over again. if that happens its pointless, just kill off all your turtles and continue with full powered turtles. you cant beat the last stage without fresh turtles(unless youre a super nerd)!

  • June 30, 2016 at 4:15 pm

OMG I PROMISE!!! I have a friend that was able to pull this off with the dam stage. I was shocked as kid to see that.

What about the pizza that is behind the laser? Is that possible to get?

This jump, as annoying as it is, didn’t give me nearly as much trouble as the one after the dam level, when you go into the sewer. I wonder if you guys could do a video on that one?

P.S. Because it should definitely have been in the original TMNT vid. That one is the one that made me give up on the game!

  • You Can Just Walk Over It

I remember creating this username in 2008! Now I’m obsolete and you can just jump over it will take my spot!

Been a fan since the ghostbusters avgn episode on gametrailers came out in 2007, it felt like time was flying when monster madness 3 started in 2009 and the rerevisiting of TMNT was in 2010 (?), but here we are in 2016 with this video and the ‘final’ monster madness coming soon, looking forward to it!

I’m glad you guys did this all over again.

  • July 4, 2016 at 5:46 pm

Radical video, dudes! James you look teary eyed at the end! Is it cause it’s taken 30+ years for you to do that? I’m right with ya though! 😛 Thanks, Mike for showing us this!

  • July 7, 2016 at 12:27 am

I always wondered why he didn’t show the glitch platform jump in the original. It’s useful on many different stages.
