The box art looks so amazing, like a gem of an 80s horror movie.

Cool! A 3do game. I remember renting one of those things, and playing a football game. The game had awesome sound and graphics for his time, but was the most lifeless football game I ever played. The camera actually followed the football when the quarterback threw it, or the kicker kicked it – even into the stands.

That scream when you die… Isn’t that the same scream from the Jurassic Park-game?

Sounds more like it’s from the Action 52

the framerate in the game is so low it looks almost unplayable.

You should do Time Killers for Genesis. It sucks but its violent in a graphically shitty sort of way.

“A game where you shoot the fuck outta ducks, really sucks!”

If you guys want another FPS on the 3DO, should give Immercenary a try. It’s pretty weird, but an interesting game.

This Panasonic 3DO version seems sucky, but the PC one was actually quite good

If Bugs Bunny is fighting a bull, he’s in Spain, not Mexico. Sorry, I’ll fuck off now.

Um, there’s plenty of bullfighting in Mexico dude

I guess at least the name of the game is quite appropriate 😛

I’ve played Brutal Doom, James. It’s a solid mod. They’re about to come out with version 20. Hope you like it!

There is a PC version of this game that’s actually pretty good. It also apparently has a totally different level design. I used to play it as a kid all the time.

I think the ducks were attracting the attention of the duck hunters. You have to silence them.

If you’re going to play Brutal Doom, you should wait until version 20B comes out. The current version is 20A and is somewhat buggy (at least, more so than previous versions). It has been stated by SGTMarkIV (the creator of the mod) that 20B will fix these flaws. Should be out soon.

Hey James you guys should play and talk about Thrill Kill. I think it would be cool to see what you or Mike had to say about that game. There was crazy moves and different outfits each character could wear and change their appearence. My friend had a copy that could only be played with a special chip in the PS1. He showed me the game and I remember it so vivid of how messed up it was and the graphics were really good. It got banned before release because of how gory it was and how one character humped on people as a move.

Too bad you guys didn’t play a bit more. This was actually a pretty decent fps for it’s time with great weapons, enemies and atmosphere. The sewer and wine cellar levels are really awesome and there’s a flame thrower you can use to just mow down the ghosts and it’s pretty satisfying. The turning thing is a bummer though and you get to some hedgemaze levels later on that are really monotonous but this is really a good game I swear lol. The cigarette skeletons are awesome

This is the weirdest clone of Doom I’ve ever seen!

That is some sick box art. Not reflective of the actual game in the least though.

  • January 6, 2016 at 4:46 pm

Don’t shoot the ducks, you can walk over them to kill them to get orbs and make them shut up, that’s why you keep running out of ammo – not like you’ll ever pick this up again though…

Hahahahaha. I have a good soundtrack for this:

You should try the 90’s shooter Marathon. It’s since been released as open source for Windows.

Having a father figure explain what “BFG” stands for was a rite of passage in the old days…
