Blanka was the worst crossover for me. I was so disappointed as a kid watching his appearance.

Videos with Doug in them are the worst crossovers.

I remember renting the SNES version of this from Hollywood Video. Not much more to say than that.

I had it on the Commodore 64. Best port of the Arcade version by far!

Yes a movie that’s based on a game that’s based on a movie

  • December 17, 2015 at 4:30 pm

Well, it seems better than Dragonball Evolution The Game for PSP….

  • December 17, 2015 at 6:50 pm

    2.12 SHIT super combo 😉

I remember City Hunter. The movie was a wacky comedy, but you don’t expect them to just go full Street Fighter on you.

Honestly, SF The Movie (The Game) on consoles isn’t a bad game at all. It’s simply a slightly stiffer Super SFII Turbo, which makes sense since it was developed in-house by Capcom.

Unfortunately, 99% percent of people confuse this version with the arcade fighting game, which was developed by an American studio that tried to turn Street Fighter into a Mortal Kombat clone. Seriously, just look at some footage of the arcade game & you can easily see the difference between the two games.

Also, I just love the Japanese title for the console game: Street Fighter: Real Battle on Film… You know, as opposed to Street Fighter: Fake Battle on Stage.

I’ve only played the arcade version and it’s not that different, actually it’s almost the same game, only with better graphics. And yes I agree, this isn’t a bad game at all.

Interesting that they play the Saturn version. Of course, I can’t help but think of Segata Sanshiro.

Isn’t there a very good street fighter movie in recent year? Street fighter: the assassin fist! And it’s a low budget movie(not strictly a movie)! It’s loyal to the official story line. It features those days when Ryu and Ken were still training under their master’s instruction. More importantly, it tells the origin story of their master Goken and their worst enemy Goki (akuma). That is good.

I like how during the Ryu v Bison fight – it looks like it says “shit super Combo”

  • December 18, 2015 at 4:07 am

04:04-04:06. Is that from the game or is it Beavis from Beavis & Butt-Head?

Looks pretty much like SF2, but jerkier.

the 2014 live action street fighter movie was the PERFECT tribute to the game and a fantastic martial arts movie in its own right. I’d love to hear what James and Mike have to say about it (I wonder if they’ve seen it. I’m sure James would be as stoked about it as I am). Your opinion on this flick would be the most informed of all.

Hey, you wanna do a shitty game of a movie? (well technically it’s the game of a book)

Do “Left Behind: Eternal Forces”. It’s from 2006 so, that’s 10 years old. And it sucks so bad that it’s like everybody’s saying “Roll up! Roll up! Everybody come stare at the freak!”
