Gaah it’s like Club Nintendo (Nintendo Power’s mexican equivalent) doing videos, its’a pro at work.
December 11, 2015 at 2:29 pm
Great, I was longing for part 4!
Thank you very much, Bootsy!

This game is pretty infamous for being one of the hardest, but I think its often overlooked for how amazing of a game it is. How fun it is to play 20 years later is a testament to how much of a classic it is. One of the best games ever made IMO certainly on nintendo

Boots has the voice of an angel. Can you imagine that voice reading a bedtime story? Great video!
December 11, 2015 at 7:21 pm
They’re calling him the Bob Ross of NES over at YT. I find that amazingly appropriate.
December 11, 2015 at 3:02 pm
I freaking love Bootsy. I want to chill with that guy sometime.

What he mean impossible on HDTV?
December 11, 2015 at 4:36 pm
CRT TVs, the old “tube” TVs had no lag because there was no processing of the image. HDTV have a lag (delay) that varies between the time you push the button and it appears on screen. Some TVs are worse than others, and the “game mode” in TVs can help anywhere from little to a lot.
This is due to the way the HDTV processes data, it is a computer essentially processing the image. Game mode reduces the processing of the image but is often still insufficient for a game like this.
Therefore he is saying that due to the precision required, it is impossible or nearly impossible to do. Other games, such as Chess, the lag wouldn’t matter.

Holy crap, it’s finally here!!
December 11, 2015 at 4:04 pm
The last stage reminds me of Dynamite Headdy on the Mega Drive/Genesis. Treasure, the makers of Dynamite Headdy are always renowned for pushing the tech to the limits. So it’s amazing rare did these effects on the NES!
I really want to play this game after watching this.

I visit Cinemassacre everyday and I honestly think more Bootsy Beats… episodes are exactly what this channel needs. Make it a series where he beats a hard game every week or month or something. It’d be awesome.

I thought we were gonna play Candyland 🙁
December 11, 2015 at 6:30 pm
If you’re playing the game on an emulator, it is near-impossible to complete level 11 using the default emulation speed settings. If you slow the emulation speed down significantly, it is possible to complete the level, but that definitely is cheating because everything is moving so slow… unfortunately, that’s probably the only way to clear level 11 when playing the game on an emulator.

For having his dick bit off by a shark, Bootsy can sure make the Nintendo his bitch
December 11, 2015 at 7:43 pm
Does anyone know if the lag problem applies to the Rare Replay version?
December 11, 2015 at 7:56 pm
Bootsy looks like that cool kid at school who knew everything about videogames. He’s just missing sunglasses and the occasional drop of the word “bodacious”.
December 11, 2015 at 10:06 pm
Finally! It’s been 3 months!
December 11, 2015 at 10:46 pm
I was wondering when this series was going to finish! Great job. You have a nice, polished way of explaining things. Very calm, very measured. I love those reflective pauses you make before finishing off an important sentence. Again, well done!
P.S. Just curious about your hat. You wouldn’t happen to be Canadian, by any chance?
December 12, 2015 at 12:56 am
At last ! 🙂
December 12, 2015 at 4:53 am
So chill when going through all this, while at the same time laying out all the info in a concise and easily understandable manner.
I seriously hope this series continues with other games because I would love to see more.

Bootsy is a boss
December 12, 2015 at 1:51 pm
Maybe a glass eye gives him an advantage and he didn’t even lose a thumb.
December 12, 2015 at 6:28 pm
Next up….Bootsy Beats Ninja Gaiden!
December 12, 2015 at 10:17 pm
. Bootsy is a perfect walk through guy for this show. Great job breaking everything down. I can’t wait to see what he’s got next.
December 13, 2015 at 8:04 am
He’s gonna take you back to the past
To beat frustrating games that kicked your ass.
He’d rather be chilled, in control
To beat the games that have frustrated us all.
He’d rather teach each single gamer
How-to do the hard parts and still entertain us.
He’s the calmest gamer you’ve ever heard,
He’s the chilled out video game nerd.
December 13, 2015 at 9:16 am

December 13, 2015 at 8:07 pm

December 13, 2015 at 9:08 pm

December 14, 2015 at 11:26 am
long time coming. Man Bootsy has a soothing voice, Like a nice Morgan Freeman book on tape during a long car ride or seedy pedo uncle promising a new toy for kinky pictures!
December 15, 2015 at 4:53 am

Bootsy do you take requests? Id love to watch you play Super R-Type III for the SNES. It’s very similar to Silver Surfer.
