Board game collection 2013

James / December 3rd, 2015

From 2013, this is an extra from the Board James DVD, which we will hopefully have back in stock again in the coming year. In the video, you can hear us talking about the early plans for the new episodes. At the time this was recorded, DreamPhone was the most recent episode. After the completion of the AVGN Movie Blu-ray features (2014), the new Board James episodes finally began production in early 2015. The season finale is “NIGHTMARE”.

Holy hell. Terror in the Graveyard. I haven’t seen one of those Goosebumps board games in DAYS.

I’m on drugs. I’m all fucked up.
Mike’s impression got me good in Board James and here too. I wish there was an Elvis NES game, AVGN hasn’t had a visitor in a while.

I had that “Terror in the graveyard” game and it was a pain in the ass. Once you put it together, you can’t take it apart. I brought it to school in third grade and the fucking thing broke apart everywhere.

I can’t stress enough how much I enjoy these “behind the scenes”, “collections” videos; especially after watching this video knowing you ended up using a few of these games two years later. Please, would love to see an updated Nerd Room, video store, James/Mike DVD-VHS “collections” video. Thanks, guys!

This is a really good video, especially in hindsight. I feel like we got to see your vision come to fruition, and it also shed insight into your process in these videos. Also, lots of untapped ideas for future episodes!

I’m simultaneously eagerly awaiting the season finale and also dreading it, because I don’t want it to be over already!

Someone donate them a spare copy of Elvisopoly NOW so James and Mike can make that happen for Board James! I know there’s some hardcore fan out there who will do it!

Have you played any of the more “modern” geek games, like Arkham Horror, Descent, Level 7 [Omega Protocol], Mage Knight, Pandemic, X-Wing, Star Wars Imperial Assault, etc?

I really don’t want to say this . I know this is totally out of topic (and I know James won’t care about the comments on his relatively old video) . I think graphics on the James T-shirts is not really appropriate. That’s the mark Japanese army used at WW2. It’s not really different from Hakenkreuz (The Nazi mark) and I strongly insist James not wear that Tshirts again if he has little bit of respect on sacrifices that was made by brutal Japanese army (mostly Korean and Chinese) at WW2.
It might seem as trivial matter, but not to me and my people … sincerely …

Nice. Thanks for showings all those board games! That’s too bad about the water damage. I hope you were able to replace those games. Yeah, the ones that were almost like toys and three dimensional were cool.
