How many years of monster madness now and we still haven’t run out of Frankenstein movies. Talk about prolific but I’m not complaining I can listen to James talk about Frankenstein & his monster(s) forever. Thx for your hard work again his year.
October 18, 2015 at 10:55 am
Thanks. Still haven’t even gotten to Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein or Frankenhooker.
October 18, 2015 at 11:31 am
frankenhooker? wtf is that a holloween edition porno lol
October 18, 2015 at 11:39 am
Nice photo of Castle Frankenstein, I actually live near it, it’s pretty small as far as castles go here in Germany or even Hesse. Theres an annual Halloween Event held up there.
BTW Most kickass hessian ? The headless rider from Sleepy Hollow 😀
October 18, 2015 at 1:18 pm
Please delete my account, James. Thanks.
October 18, 2015 at 6:28 pm
Holy shit, I never thought you would reply to a comment on here but since I kind of have you directly I have a suggestion for next year’s MM. What about doing a MM entirely of foreign horror films, with going back to a theme of something? You have tons of movies to work with (mostly Japanese) but still have tons of other countries other than America that produces grade A horror films. Like the Canadian horror film, My Bloody Valentine or the Australian horror film The Babadook? I don’t know if you’ve done these yet for MM 9 but it would be cool to see a MM with other countries’ horror films.
October 18, 2015 at 11:41 pm
Looking forward to see reviews on these some day!
October 19, 2015 at 8:37 am
I dont think there is anything wrong with this movie. Its supposed to be like that. If you like this kind of weird stories you will like it, otherwise you wont, thats it. I liked the apocalyptic feeling it had.
October 20, 2015 at 3:52 pm
Oh man, is that 90’s Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein rough. It’s admittedly true to the original source material and Robert DeNiro is great in the role, but the movie itself isn’t great. And Frankenhooker is hilarious.
Can’t wait for next year, these videos are a great yearly tradition.
October 21, 2015 at 6:46 pm
I’d like to hear your thoughts on Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein. Kenneth Branagh’s interpretation of the novel is considered by many critics to be the most faithful to the original text, but do you think it was an effective effort?
October 18, 2015 at 1:39 pm
HOW MANY YEARS?!!!!
I think that “Monster Madness 9” should be a pretty fucking clear clue, asshole!
October 18, 2015 at 6:35 pm
Hey, Spazoid McKenzie. MRYTGUY1 wasn’t actually asking how many years has MM been going, it was rhetorical.
October 18, 2015 at 7:30 pm
How stupid ARE you? He wasn’t asking because he actually wanted to know, you moron. He was bringing it up for the sake of a conversational point.
October 18, 2015 at 7:31 pm
I swear to god, Smashole, I know you’re trying (very poorly) to be a troll, but you really end up coming across more like a VERY stupid and ignorant little child.
October 18, 2015 at 11:55 pm
I just wanted him to know the truth, you fucking ASSHOLES! It doesn’t matter HOW he spoke, but the fact that HE SPOKE IT, is really the stupidity of this conversation.
October 18, 2015 at 11:56 pm
By the way, calling someone stupid and a child, is really offensive, so go fuck yourselves.
review Salems Lot ffs james, xo
October 18, 2015 at 1:19 pm
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY?!!! FUCK, MAN!!!!
October 18, 2015 at 7:32 pm
You don’t make any more sense. Just shut the fuck up, for fuck’s sake.
October 18, 2015 at 11:57 pm
Hey, watch your fucking language, you mother-fucking cock-sucker!
October 18, 2015 at 4:07 am

October 18, 2015 at 1:21 pm
“YOU CAN’T GO WRONG WITH A LASER. I love Monster Madness. Keep up the good work, Cinemassacre!
Learn to FUCKING type, dude.
October 18, 2015 at 3:05 pm
SMASHOLE are you working with Cinemassacre and dont want anyone to leave a positiv comment? Take a look at “You know whats bullshit; Word Pronunciations. Im SWE and living in Sweden. So why care about some of my spelling errors?
Love your work Cinemassacre!
October 18, 2015 at 6:02 pm
I care, because some out there BADLY NEED a good education, and thius site is NOT the best place for it, AT ALL.
October 18, 2015 at 7:33 pm
Smashole, you’re not one to talk about education or typos. Your grammar is horrible, and you can’t even properly spell or type words like “thus”. There’s no “i” in it, you dumbass hypocrite.
October 19, 2015 at 12:00 am
…says the guy who CLEARLY has an axe to grind, here.
And calling me a dumbass just proves how ignorant you really are, like you really know me!
October 20, 2015 at 1:21 pm
And HAHA, it was supposed to be THIS, not THUS. Fucking retard!
October 18, 2015 at 4:32 am
What in the holy fuck did I just watch? Lmao
October 18, 2015 at 1:22 pm
Yeah, your typing is “lmao”, as in “lameo”
October 18, 2015 at 7:36 pm
You are just as bad. And you write like a developmentally disabled 8-year old who wrongly thinks he’s funny. If you don’t want an account here, just leave and don’t type any more of your incredibly hypocritical stupidity, you unbelivable fucking imbecile.
October 19, 2015 at 12:03 am
You know, I’m starting to like this little charade we’re developing here. You think I’m stupid, and I think you’re ignorant. What fun we’re going to have together!
October 18, 2015 at 4:36 am
How would I have ever found out about this movie if not on Cinemassacre! 😀 Keep up the good work!
October 18, 2015 at 1:40 pm
Ya gotta do better than that, man.
October 18, 2015 at 7:37 pm
Says the developmentally disabled sounding 8-year old that puts the lamest possible effort into your own sad, miserable and incredibly worthless attempt at trolling.
October 19, 2015 at 12:04 am
You know, I think you should work on more than just the child/retard slant, as you’re clearly running out of things to articulate.
October 18, 2015 at 4:50 am
Video works now, thank you.
October 18, 2015 at 1:24 pm
FUCK YOU! It NEVER works for ME!!!
October 18, 2015 at 7:38 pm
That is because you are literally too stupid to function.
If I was, would I be getting you to react? Nope.
October 18, 2015 at 5:14 am
This movie isn’t as good as The Undead, another historical-fantasy-horror-science-fiction directed by Roger Corman with very similar subject matter, which is incredibly cheap and shabby looking compared to Frankenstein Unbound but there’s at least some weight to the things that happen.
October 18, 2015 at 1:41 pm
Nope, no weight at all. It BLOWS.
October 18, 2015 at 7:40 pm
Much like your weak and lukewarm attempts at trolling and not sounding like a very stupid child, at best. You have absolutely no life of your own, if this is all you actually have to do with your time. It’s unbelievably pathetic. Move out of your mother’s basement or something, christ.
October 19, 2015 at 12:05 am
I think that’s Christ, with a large C. Praise the Lord!
October 18, 2015 at 5:20 am
Nice one that is definitely a must have for my next B-Movie Night. ^^
October 18, 2015 at 1:25 pm
…then you’re wasting your time.
October 18, 2015 at 7:41 pm
Says the guy that is commenting worthless stupidity on EVERY. SINGLE. COMMENT.
Hypocrisy confirmed. You’re wasting far more of your clearly short life-span on this pathetic display of embarrassing idiocy than anything you could be doing with your utter lack of a life. Jesus. Grow the fuck up, little kid.
October 19, 2015 at 12:06 am
Tag, you’re it!
October 18, 2015 at 5:38 am
This looks like my kinda movie.
October 18, 2015 at 1:26 pm
That’s really sad, man.
October 18, 2015 at 6:26 am
I’d have banged Mary Shelly, too.
Good, then dig her up, and go nuts.
October 18, 2015 at 7:10 am
Yeah it was a pretty interesting idea. Too bad the movie blows.
Then why did you view the video?!!
October 18, 2015 at 7:47 am
James, have you ever watched Blood: The Last Vampire?
Not the live action movie, the anime movie.
Don’t know what you think about japanese animation, but B:TLV feels like a Hollywood horror filme. A very dark, serious and well made Hollywood film.
I think it would make a great video for a future Monster Madness, and i would love to hear your opinions about it.
That was it. I’m a longtime fan, and i just can’t get enough of your videos. Keep up the great work.
October 18, 2015 at 1:42 pm
I think James has worked hard enough, asshole.
October 18, 2015 at 8:08 am
Christopher Lloyd should’ve been the scientist
October 18, 2015 at 1:43 pm
Why? Because of a long-dead franchise?
October 18, 2015 at 8:26 am
wow. I probably read the title almost two years ago during a high school project but after seeing this, WOW.
October 18, 2015 at 1:44 pm
Then why didn’t you see THE ACTUAL FILM?!! FUCK!!!!
October 18, 2015 at 9:47 am
Any chance you can do WishMaster. Like a tribute to the 80’s horrors, even has cameos from the actors that played our favorite monsters.
October 18, 2015 at 10:17 am
Was that a DeLorean?
October 18, 2015 at 11:09 am
It is an Italdesign Aztec.
October 18, 2015 at 1:45 pm
No, it was your mom.
October 18, 2015 at 10:30 am
Raul Julia is in this? Kick fuckin’ ass! Interesting idea for a movie. I might check it out.
October 18, 2015 at 11:26 am
OF COURSE! 😀
October 18, 2015 at 11:53 am
Don’t care if the story is crap, I am watching this for Raul Julia and John Hurt alone.
October 18, 2015 at 1:46 pm
Then you’re wasting your time.
October 18, 2015 at 12:49 pm
i sort of remember this film being on tv when i was kid in the 90’s
October 18, 2015 at 1:48 pm
REALLY?!! It’s awfully forgettable to me.
October 18, 2015 at 1:13 pm
There will be a NEW Frankenstein movie with the guy from Harry Potter! Heard about that? This franchise got milked way to far. But the next one could be good…here, a link for the trailer:
Yeah, and it’ll blow. Don’t waste your time.
FUCK YOU ALL FOR THIS FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!
October 18, 2015 at 1:17 pm
TROLL MODE, ENGAGED!!!!
October 18, 2015 at 2:33 pm
Review De Lift please , it’s about an evil elevator : D
October 18, 2015 at 3:04 pm
Given that Hurt was the War Doctor, I guess we can now consider this a somewhat apocryphal non-canon spin on one of his adventures? 🙂
October 18, 2015 at 3:26 pm
October 18, 2015 at 4:09 pm
Ugh seeing this video just reminded me that I saw this piece of crap movie at some point in my life, I think the memory was repressed. Thanks a lot James.
October 18, 2015 at 4:54 pm
so basicly a war doctor episode?
October 18, 2015 at 5:21 pm
Here’s an idea for either this Monster Madness or next year is you should do a review on John Carpenter’s The Fog 1980 and maybe touch on the 2005 remake.
October 18, 2015 at 5:55 pm
Wow, I just picked up the Aldiss novel this is based on to read today and was searching for more info on it online… what a great coincidence that that you posted this! I love Monster Madness every October, Corman is hard to hate and I guess I’ll hunt down the movie once I finish the book. Halloween rules.
October 18, 2015 at 5:57 pm
Here’s a movie idea. Frankenstein monster is turned into a vampire. Then vampire FM is turned into a werewolf. Then werewolf, vampire FM dies only to come to life, in the future, as a zombie.
October 18, 2015 at 6:04 pm
This movie looks really ridiculous…but then nothing less should be expected of Corman. 😉
October 18, 2015 at 6:09 pm
Still waiting for my account to get deleted, James!
October 18, 2015 at 9:34 pm
Just watched it….wow, it was bad.
October 18, 2015 at 11:21 pm
Wow. Trying to be too many things at once. Its so absurd I’ll probably watch this abomination, ultimately wasting my time…. THANKS AGAIN JAMES 😉 lol
Oh, btw, I got to recommend Event Horizon for a Monster Madness review. One of my favorite horror movies of all time.
October 18, 2015 at 11:22 pm
Fuckin A make all the videos available on youtube. I like the HD quality here but theres no buffering. I watch this stuff on a cellphone out in the sticks, buffering is necessity.
October 18, 2015 at 11:35 pm
It’s a pity that Corman retired from directing. I hope he will come back one time as Herschell Gordon Lewis did.
October 18, 2015 at 11:46 pm
Also, the movie is a rare adaptation of a really good sci-fi writer Brian Aldiss. Most known one is Spielberg’s “A.I.” And… you can’t go wrong with lasers, John Hurt and Roger Corman in one movie.
October 19, 2015 at 7:46 am
Still more lasers than Laserblast
October 19, 2015 at 12:42 pm
Another Frankenstein kind of movie YEAH!!
October 19, 2015 at 6:52 pm
I remember this film mostly for starring late lead singer of Australian band INXS, Michael Hutchence, in the role of Percy Shelley. It’s one of his only two or three times being an actor, and this was at the height of his popularity, coming off the success of album Kick (6 million albums sold in the US alone) and going into the excellent album X released that same year in 1990.
October 20, 2015 at 9:08 pm
My god I remember this flick. A guy my mom was dating showed me this flick. Oddly I found the sky-gina to be the most memorable thing about it. XD
October 21, 2015 at 12:35 am
I have not seen Frankstein Unbound! This certainly looks interesting, and the practical effects look cool. I’ll have to check it out.
October 22, 2015 at 7:03 pm
If they wanted to, I think they could do ONLY Frankenstein movie reviews next year, there’s so many.
October 25, 2015 at 10:48 pm
Dr. Frankenstein is played by a Puerto Rican. WTF?
November 1, 2015 at 12:24 am
That movie looks pretty crazy. It could be fun to watch, even if it isn’t that great.
November 30, 2015 at 1:23 pm
Love the detailed analysis about Frankenstein over the years.
