What video is it where James reveals the emails he gets and how fans have changed his life? Some are very heartwarming and others are hilarious and absurd. There was one where James could not stop laughing.

Oldest to Newest! YES!! Thank you, guys!

    Kick ass.
I just wish I could watch every AVGN episode from oldest to newest with the higher quality episodes in place of the lower quality ones.
But that’s just a nit picky request of mine.

    • April 24, 2015 at 5:29 pm

I updated the “oldest to newest” playlist to have the higher quality versions in place of the lower quality originals.

        Kick fucking ass!

Are there any specific reason why the Higher Quality versions don’t have any copyrighted movie clips and stuff like that, other than the fact that these came from the DVDs? Did you lose the original raw material and so wasn’t able to include those scenes? I mean stuff like the scenes where the Nerd shows us all the TVs playing Rocky movies, or the VHS tape stuff from the DragonStrike episode of Board James?

How come you guys don’t link to the AVGN/Nostalgia critic TMNT crossover or any Nerd related videos like the making of from Doug’s site? Some people here may not visit Channel Awesome and have no idea about them. Just seems strange since you guys used to cover everything James was involved in no matter how small.

James or Mike, what model camera do you use for filming the AVGN and J&MM episodes in the Nerd room? I know James mentioned it in one commentary but then stated in another that he started using a different camera (I forget which commentaries they were). I’m curious if the current camera used differs from the previous two mentioned. I’m looking to invest in something and seeking your advice because your footage is so clear. Thank you and keep on rocking the excellent content!

I wasked the same question not long ago, It’s always interesting to see filmmakers what gear they are using, there is a good web site here but they rarely talk about indie filmmakers, I also want to know what cameras did they use for AVGN the movie.

PS: There are tons of videos on Youtube, Vimeo talking about cameras specs, compararison with others camera… here is one of a great channel : Dave Dugdale 🙂

Whatabird sometimes you can see what stuff was shot on through IMDb. They don’t often go into detail, and mostly just lists the camera brand and not the model. The IMDb page for the AVGN Movie lists the exact models of the cameras used though.

The current camera that they both use are the Panasonic AG-AF100. It was also used to film the AVGN Movie. I believe they are looking into alternatives though, as they expand their vision and James decides to make more cinematic stuff.

“Playlists” should be a clickable header at the top of the page along with “Shows,” “Games,” “Movies” etc., because I know I’m going to want to come back to it many times.

Nice. You even made a playlist for the 12 Days of Shitsmas, awesome. Are you going to make any more playlists (probably one of Monster Madness) or are those the only ones you want to make?

I’m also wondering if you Mike and James are going to SGC again this summer because it would be great seeing you there (Also, my mom will be satisfied to see you there since she only likes the AVGN and not any other YouTubers, which sucks because she is sort of not allowing me to go unless James goes, that sucks and yes, I’m serious about that) and with no AVGN Movie to worry about, you should be able to go no problem. Or you are not going to SGC again?

Love a good playlist, best way to watch the episodes.

Any chance of the Monster Madness series getting the same treatment soon?

  • April 27, 2015 at 10:41 pm

Mike or James ever talk on this site to people?

If you look at the previous page of comments, you’ll see Mike had replied.

Wondering why there are no playlists for the Monster Madness’..old or new…they used to be I thought and it was so convenient to have them play back to back in one long go for Octobers

    • April 28, 2015 at 9:13 pm

Are the Monster Madness videos even on Youtube? I always just assumed that they didn’t upload them there either due to copyright concerns or maybe because they just want that to be a exclusive.

      • April 28, 2015 at 10:02 pm

Yes. Monster Madness is a website exclusive
