James, any chance of seeing the movie on iTunes?

    • February 14, 2015 at 8:57 am

If he get’s on film baby the move version of CD baby then it may. That issue he pointed with DVD-R DL is why I use and remand Memorex disks since their my fellstef they always work. In fact anything that involves DVD-R or CD-R being mailed to me I have to ask them to use an Memorex disk.

Only 6 Episodes on Volume 8 ? Why are the 12 Days of Shitmas not included?

Well, least now I can finally watch the movie while I hold out for being able to buy the DVD release and buy a copy for a friend. I find it interesting that the volume 8 DVD came out before the movie’s DVD release, if blu-ray is such a viable medium, where is the volume 8 blu-ray and all previous volumes? But I can finally see the movie now which makes me happy either way.

This question is completely unrelated to what you said, James, but I’m wondering: is the light in the video natural light? If not congratulations, because it looks very much like pure sunlight. Either way I was also wondering, how much light is there in the nerd room during the day? I believe there only is a tiny window, right? I suppose it’s pretty dark since it’s a basement.

A single disc for $25 seems a bit pricey…I hope the extra content is worth it. Keep up the great work!

That’s quite a harrowing story. I know I have had stuff like that happen to me before. It’s just one thing after another, and things don’t go quite as you planned. So, was this incident related to the delay of the release of the AVGN Movie DVD?

  • January 27, 2015 at 8:41 pm

Love that vol 8 cover with its mostly orange look. After watching the video i understand the delay and lack of the Shitmas episodes. But Why no ET episode? Hope to get the AVGN movie dvd soon. Also hope to see more Super Scope games on James n Mike.

You know what, I’d be willing to buy AVGN episodes on Blu Ray. I really hate having to swap discs over and over in my PS3 (I have one of the old PS3s) and having everything on one disc would be just awesome. Hell, you can make an entire compendium and hopefully be able to cut us a slightly better deal.

I would buy avgn vols on bluray

Damn! What a bad luck streak. Thanks for sharing the whole story with us, James. It is pretty crazy.

BTW I’m going to assume that these problems are also what’s holding back the DVD version of the movie.

Sounds like a typical run of luck that accompanies any production project. It’s not about how many times you stumble but how quickly you can get back to your feet each time. You guys are doing great!

Is there going to be a double-pack for Volumes 7 & 8, or will I have to order them separately? I ask because I forgot to get Volume 7 last year.

  • February 24, 2015 at 1:53 pm

I hope Gamestop and Play N Trade pick the Blu-Ray. For thouse of asking blur-rays of the AVGN Shows think about this at this time an 50 pack or (the only brand I use) Memorex Double Layer DVD+Rs are about $30 well and 50 pak of Memorex BD-R DLs are like $112. So BD-R disks are better if doing alot of data. Like lets say it’s 2018 and he stoped making shows. Well and an layer DVD-R can go up 8 hours of video perside at VHS quacily video. Since the non 4K blu-rays go up to 128GB per side your talking about an max of 1204 hours or 42.6 Days of video perside; Alot.

I think I found out what happened with James computer on my old Windows PCs going 7 years just died and it was running above it’s digsinged litms for the last 3 years of it’s life. So James may have got those t 1 or 2 Lemons that always find their way in the world.
