Keep up the good work guys, any news when a new Board James will be coming out?

    • December 12, 2014 at 5:28 pm

I believe he stopped doing Board James to focus on AVGN and his other projects. Story wise, Board James is in in prison after the Dream Phone Episode.

You know what I’d love to see? An AVGN/Board James crossover! I love the episodes where he green screens himself in with himself and acts and interacts with himself. He could review all of those shitty board game video games like Monopoly on NES/SNES and Clue on SNES and shit like that. It would be awesome to see the dynamics of both characters “interacting” (like the AVGN games episode where Board James showed up with an AVGN Monopoly, that was a riot!)

        Your wish was granted!

  • December 12, 2014 at 1:10 pm

Well, now. This is certainly interesting. Sega Master System games usually had quality over quantity (the polar opposite of the NES in my opinion – no offence, James), but this is the exception to the rule. Looking forward to tomorrow’s offering. πŸ™‚

Strangely I’ve never heard of that game. And I was a huge Alf Fan, back then.
It didn’t even look that bad. I mean… it looked like Home Alone, which wasn’t a great game either, but it was on a predecessor console… I would have given that game a try… but to be honest, only with a quicksave option. (Yeah, sorry. I know how you guys feel about emulators)

Excellent episode, I didn’t play this game but always watched the show as a kid. Never played the Tagging Dragons one, though.

I love how you’re showing what present you’re taking from the pile of 12 gifts at the end of every episode to make us guess what’s next, brilliant concept!

It looks like the ghost of ALF has bat wings instead of the usual feathered angel wings.

  • frostare

    December 12, 2014 at 3:33 pm

Oh yeah, there were Tanners in Full House as well!

  • December 12, 2014 at 3:41 pm

Wow, they really butchered ALF in this game…shame on those programmers!

    December 12, 2014 at 4:13 pm

    December 12, 2014 at 7:36 pm

Looks like the next game is either a Nintendo 64 game or a Super Nintendo game! (That is if the packages actually correspond to anything and aren’t just there for show.)

      December 12, 2014 at 10:15 pm

Am guessing the little one on top of the front stack to be a Gameboy cart… Alien vs. Predator maybe?

  • herbsuperb

    December 12, 2014 at 9:18 pm

When that song was playing at the beginning, all I could think about was ‘AND A PIZZA WITH PEPPERONI!!!’.

  • Sturat

    December 12, 2014 at 9:31 pm

You actually aren’t supposed to go into that cave until you have a weapon, which for Alf means bringing a salami from the kitchen and whacking the bats with it. Seriously.

  • December 12, 2014 at 9:44 pm

The most notorious part of the game is when you buy the book item, which has the description “this will take you back”. When you read it, you see a short cutscene with some backstory, then the game resets to the title screen. Get it? “Takes you back”!

As a kid, I felt cheated when it did that.

JAMES: YOU HAVE RESURRECTED THE OLD NERD PERSONALITY! The true spirit of the nerd is back within you! I see it! You are back in your element! Nailed it!

    December 13, 2014 at 2:16 am

Hahahaha, those perverted FBI guys. Funny stuff.

Man, this game is ridiculous. I can see why it was so requested!

  • greedo

    December 13, 2014 at 2:17 am

“What kind of town is this, where there’s a pedophile on every block, in broad daylight”? I LOL’d hard at that. Great line!

Also, I agree with you about ALF’s crouch. He looks like he’s ready to do his business when he bends over like that.

  • December 13, 2014 at 2:45 am

I was thinking a better idea about these videos is to not show or name the game in the title or preview window. We should be surprised by the game as you unwrap the present.

    December 13, 2014 at 2:57 pm

But the real question here is: Why does he die when he touches a cat? Shouldnt he get a life powerup or something from a cat?

    December 13, 2014 at 4:32 pm

Come on Alf I got some candy lmao…This video was AWESOME. Like the Miz…only in this case it REALY IS awesome lol…I loved what you considered “REPLAY VALUE” on this James. I think I just pissed my pants lol…not really. You just too funny man. Really TOO funny. I don’t think it’s healthy to laugh this much. lol…Sure does feel good though.

  • December 14, 2014 at 3:39 am

These are all great πŸ™‚ Good idea, short bursts of goodness.

  • Jcr3ws

    December 14, 2014 at 4:01 pm

I remember a friend of mine back in 8th grade wanted me to draw him a tattoo of Alf saying I like to eat pussy… im sure alot of people wouldve been confused in the future not realizing who alf even is or that he ate cats.

  • December 16, 2014 at 2:12 am

Lazy programming… I loved Alf, which only pisses me off more. Every kid I knew loved Alf. Fortunately, none of us ever knew an Alf game existed. I guess we were the lucky ones…

  • December 18, 2014 at 4:44 am

Oh, I still have my dear ol’ Master System somewhere at my parents place. I remember, by starting the system without a game cartridge inserted and holding Up and buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously you unlocked a hidden game with a snail in a maze.

  • James Levis

    December 18, 2014 at 7:03 pm

hey gang. has anyone noticed that there aren’t any cut scenes from the alf show in this video. the bettlejuice video was the same way . this video is screaming for cutscenes from the tvshow. like the rocky review, that was perfectly done. Is it because of that new law… copy right bs. fuck that. love you James. merry fucking xmas everyone.

  • December 19, 2014 at 5:18 pm

    my burthday is on crismas

  • December 21, 2014 at 12:10 am

How could you review an Alf game without mentioning that the dad from that show went on to become a male prostitute in a crack den? I mean, if I was going to be money on anybody from that show being turned out for crack it probably wouldn’t have been the dad but there’s some candid interviews where is pretty blatant about what he’s doing and why. Disturbing images…hard to watch that show now without constantly thinking about the fact that he’d blow alf for a fix

Nice to see another Sega Master System game. I never had the opportunity to play one of those so it is nice to see some suckage from a system I never personally played.
