    May 12, 2014 at 12:09 am

I remember that damn game, he had the power glove too, played like ass.

    • bongbadabongbadabong

      May 12, 2014 at 12:13 am

God, I remember that ridiculous cleaning kit. I used to work at funcoland, we made commission like crazy if we sold one of those.

  • Matthew Mercurio

    May 12, 2014 at 12:12 am

Cool to see Pat playing the NES with James and Mike.

  • Don Skiver

    May 12, 2014 at 12:23 am

I propose you guys play all the 4 player NES games, including Gauntlet 2 and Nintendo World Cup (one of the few legit sports games I enjoy). Hell, you can even play Nightmare on Elm Street just for shits and giggles.

    • May 12, 2014 at 9:17 am

And then the homebrew four player games like Super PakPak (which is awesome) or Bomberman 3 (which I made)

  • Blade Runner

    May 12, 2014 at 12:36 am

Is it me or does Mike look hung over?

    • BrandeX

      May 12, 2014 at 11:26 am

stereotypical pie-eyed look. Pretty sure they’re baked.

      • May 12, 2014 at 12:16 pm

I’m pretty sure that Mike is, which only makes me want to meet him more.

      • BladeRunner

        July 2, 2014 at 10:19 pm

Mike always looks a little baked, or maybe he just has eyes like that??

  • Aaron1375

    May 12, 2014 at 12:40 am

I hated racing games like this one. Too small.

  • Niche

    May 12, 2014 at 12:44 am

Loved this episode. and isn’t it weird how the Nintendo still will work to this day but the 360’s would crap out in 3 to 4 years

    • May 12, 2014 at 11:22 am

And that’s the good version of the 360. Eheheheheh.

      • Aaron1375

        May 12, 2014 at 12:50 pm

This saying is definitely true in this case, “They don’t make em like they used to.”

  • May 12, 2014 at 12:47 am

Jack Nicholson’s Golf Club vs. Cars : Extreme car destruction.. you as Jack Nicholson going around a city destroying car with golf clubs while police chase you in golf carts… someone make this game!

  • May 12, 2014 at 12:57 am

Mike.. stopping masturbating into the nes and raping cars!.. damn you mother fucker mike.. you mother fucker?… 😀

  • Tross

    May 12, 2014 at 1:29 am

I think I agree with James. I would probably prefer a racing game with a better view.

  • May 12, 2014 at 1:37 am

lol great Monday ep! Love that Pat is in it, that was really James childhood NES? Jeez, pretty rare to get to keep your old games. My parents sold my stuff ages ago. 🙁

  • May 12, 2014 at 1:37 am

WOO not only pat’s there but also FRANK!
    Too fun, love you guys!

  • AllMightyMasterBaiter

    May 12, 2014 at 3:25 am

I like these guys better yes homo better than gamegrumps. I know and you know that gamegrumps play with an emulator but they act like they don’t. James and Mike actually play on legit retro consoles. Keep it up guys and fuck you gamegrumps!

  • Brandon Craig

    May 12, 2014 at 4:50 am

I love the confusion at the start of the race, it sounds just like my friends and I playing games XD

  • Robert Sanchez

    May 12, 2014 at 5:50 am

This video made me laugh, reminded me of the times with my friends.

  • taykel

    May 12, 2014 at 6:07 am

I would like to see James and Mike play Silver Surfer at some point. That would be hysterical to watch.

  • May 12, 2014 at 6:31 am

That’s nuts, my eyes did the same thing James’ did at the start, I never saw the 4th blue car, and then I thought the “blue” car which was actually the grey car was the blue car! Great video as always.

  • Joker83

    May 12, 2014 at 8:11 am

I propose a tat video where James tells us all about his tat. I predict that it probably symbolizes the dragon in my dreams.

  • BladeRunner

    May 12, 2014 at 8:21 am

“that’s why they call me mother fucker Mike”, cant wait for next week!!

  • May 12, 2014 at 9:10 am

You know that Bomberman 2 supports the FourScore, but only 3 players?
I did a Bomberman Homebrew on NES that’s FOUR Players, has 8 different levels in Multiplayer and a buttload of options.
    Get it here:

  • May 12, 2014 at 9:47 am

I absolutely loved this. The technical fuck-ups, the commentary, the true asshole-ness of multiplayer gaming, all of it.

This episode is a reason why I like James & Mike Mondays more than most TV shows!

  • Travis McNabb

    May 12, 2014 at 10:47 am

This was fun as hell to watch! You guys crack me up. Might I make a suggestion since you’re playing with the 4-score thing a ma jig. Gauntlet. Do that one super please!

  • Joker83

    May 12, 2014 at 11:15 am

Love the video, great to see James focus on the wrong car, exactly something I would have done. lol — not sure how I like the NES Punk in the mix with you guys… James and Mike do well on their own, with the occasional Bootsy appearance. No offence to the NES Punk…

  • Andrew Kinsey

    May 12, 2014 at 11:42 am

James, is that a real tattoo? If so what is it?

  • May 12, 2014 at 12:02 pm

  • jim dove

    May 12, 2014 at 12:05 pm

Good times. Used to rent this on the weekend with my little brother.

  • May 12, 2014 at 2:07 pm

I´m not fond of this game, but it´s nice to see Pat again. Good choice! 🙂

  • May 12, 2014 at 2:28 pm

James I didnt know that you had a tattoo!

  • May 12, 2014 at 2:36 pm

Don’t forget Lee Trevino’s Fighting Golf

  • KingMike

    May 12, 2014 at 2:37 pm

“You think the NES could do 3-player split-screen in ’91?”
Namco did two-player splitscreen in ’88, Final Lap for the Famicom. 🙂

I bought Championship Pro-Am for the Genesis, expecting it to be a port of RC 2, since they came out the same year. Nope, it was a port of the original that came out five years earlier.

  • May 12, 2014 at 3:34 pm

Always a pleasure to see Pat on Cinemassacre, I love that guy!

  • Weldin Dunn

    May 12, 2014 at 3:39 pm

Oh my gosh. I remember playing this all the time. I don’t really even like racing games but Super Off Road, Excitebike, Crusin’ USA, and the Mario Karts were exceptions.

  • alphamouse

    May 12, 2014 at 4:18 pm

    The Nerd has a tatoo?!?

  • somebodysdog

    May 12, 2014 at 4:27 pm

Guys. You should play “Nintendo World Cup” with four score. I loved that game when I was young. It’s a fun soccer game and I think it looked kind of nice too.

  • Lightseeker

    May 12, 2014 at 5:21 pm

When did you get the tattoo James?

  • May 12, 2014 at 5:50 pm

I guess Motherfucker Mike also rapes someone´s ass in other racing video games besides this one. I hope he does it again to Pat next monday. I hope they can get a fourth player like Bootsy or Kyle so they can all rape Pat in the next game. Just saying since it was so funny that Mike raped Pat.

  • May 12, 2014 at 7:25 pm

You guys should totally consider doing Rock n Roll racing on the snes

  • May 12, 2014 at 7:41 pm

I thought I was going to get there first with a tattoo comments. I was like “Holy shiii …. BIG RIGGGGGGGGGGSSSSSSSSSSS!!!”

  • Night-X

    May 12, 2014 at 7:45 pm

Only play the Super Nintendo and Arcade of this game. First time seeing it on NES. And I really suck at this game badly.

  • May 12, 2014 at 8:50 pm

HAHA. This is one of my favorite episodes of James & Mike Mondays. It’s good to see Pat in another Cinemassacre video.

  • Jake Harness

    May 12, 2014 at 8:55 pm

I had no idea that James has a tattoo

  • May 12, 2014 at 9:08 pm

To this day: Super Off Road is STILL my favourite racing game, and the only racing game I’ve ever really liked. Great episode, and it was nice to see Pat again!

  • May 12, 2014 at 9:32 pm

I bet the tattoo says L.J.N.

  • Lightseeker

    May 12, 2014 at 9:55 pm

Mr. Rolfe. I very much so love your videos and I am an inspired teen, thanks to you. I am working on photoshop and film and I want you to give me some help. Thanks:)

  • May 12, 2014 at 10:58 pm

Mike has the best classic laugh

    heheh 🙂

  • herbsuperb

    May 13, 2014 at 12:09 am

I nearly died when James thought he was the grey car. F’ing hilarious. Great vid guys.

  • marclawson

    May 13, 2014 at 12:24 am

what sore losers! is that what you do when you can’t win a game, fellas? attack its quality? pssh. lame.

  • Peter Castillo

    May 13, 2014 at 1:20 am

Holy shit, James has a tattoo now. Childhood ruined.

  • May 13, 2014 at 4:06 am

does james have ink now? a tattoo? sweet muffins!

  • malthus92

    May 13, 2014 at 10:59 am

I used to own this game as a kid, but never got it to work. Probably a broken cartridge…now I can see I didn’t miss much.
The car upgrading system kinda reminded me of Rock and roll racing on snes.
Would love to see you guys play that game!

  • luconator

    May 13, 2014 at 1:55 pm

Nice video guys! What is James Tattoo?

  • May 13, 2014 at 3:41 pm

You guys should make Pat play the entirety of Takeshi’s Challenge! I’m sure he’d be able to play that in, like, an hour, an hour and a half, if he’s so good at Nintendo games. Or make an AVGN video on that crazy ass game! Mr. Takeshi himself could be in the video. That would make me happy.

  • May 13, 2014 at 6:17 pm

I actually beat this game back in the day.
The AI drivers (at least the blue and gray ones) are horrible cheating bastards who drive much faster than you could possibly drive, and they’re not even consuming any nitros. The AI will almost always beat you in Sidewinder, Big Dukes, Blaster, and Hurricane Gulch. But you can take first place in the other courses (Fandango, Wipeout, Cliffhanger, Huevos Grande), so you get 1-ups and get your lives back. Then you just keep playing until the game ends. Late in the game, the AI drivers start doing the corners in Fandango really fast, but are obviously speed capped for the rest of the race.

  • May 13, 2014 at 7:49 pm

Big fan of all three. James is still the best tho. want some more stuff to watch? check out

  • Goatrider

    May 14, 2014 at 9:59 am

Wow, Mike’s putting on some weight. Anyway, that was hilareous. I like that you left the connection-shenanigans in.

    • May 17, 2014 at 3:04 am

wtf? what does (in your opinion about his weight) have to do with these videos or who he is as a person? don’t post that crap here. if u are actually concerned for his well being, then msg him in private.

  • flawn scorpion

    May 14, 2014 at 12:07 pm

    Sure I loves Pat sure

  • May 14, 2014 at 8:46 pm

Awesome to see Pat in this episode !
    MotherFucker Mike strikes again, haha.
I must say this game is pretty dull though.

  • May 15, 2014 at 4:25 pm

When did James get a tattoo?? I feel like I would have noticed before. I guess that shows how well you know someone who you have been watching for nearly a decade.

  • May 16, 2014 at 12:45 am

Damn did James just get that tattoo or what? Didn’t notice it until now.

  • May 17, 2014 at 3:00 am

i can’t fathom how many quarters i wasted… uh, i mean enjoyed, as a kid, playing this game. i really did spend way to much playing this game. 🙂
Pat! you’re the guest. yes, you fixed his broke ass old machine, but, try not to destroy the host of the show you’re on. we know u rule NES style, but maybe take one dive? let the host get a couple of wins. i think he’d be the kinda guy to do the same, if he was on your show, being surprised that he was winning most rounds.

  • gluserty

    May 17, 2014 at 3:49 am

Cool game, humorous video; I only played this game a few times, but I thought it was pretty decent. From what I understand, off road was a business venture conceived by Mickey Thompson and another partner, and it was quite lucrative (arena racing, good deals on dirt, that sort of thing). Unfortunately, Mickey and his wife were executed by request of that former partner:-(

  • Rich Atwood

    May 19, 2014 at 9:07 am

I can honestly say I don’t remember anyone having a Four Score. COOL SHITS.

  • Matt Hurley

    May 19, 2014 at 5:53 pm

Minus a million points for no Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge reference.

  • MisterRedShow

    May 19, 2014 at 11:48 pm

I love this game but I always played the SNES version. I still have my copies of Super Off-Road and the sequel Super Off-Road Baja for SNES. I think James and Mike would like the Baja one a lot better.

  • skwij

    May 23, 2014 at 4:08 am

Sweet! A special guest appearance! My friend had this game, and I always got confused on the tracks, too. Way for the old school tech to save the day! As always, thanks for the video gentlemen!

  • nammm3

    June 2, 2014 at 4:05 pm

The track designs are certainly confusing, so i won’t blame James. Lol, friggin Mike after he realized he can’t get 1st place

  • June 9, 2014 at 9:57 am

If the system doesn’t work always move the cartridge left or right works well to my system.I dont think that all those cleaners do the work, its mostly of the spring mechanism for releasing the game pack.No matter how old they are always works better than ps3-xbox 360 and the new crap.
