Wow, this is quite a coincidence. I just got done watching the Star Wars episode…and then this shows up on the front page.

When’s the next AVGN coming? I have a request… Cassette 50. I don’t know much about it, but it sounds like it’d make a good nerd episode judging by what I’ve read on Wikipedia. It’d be a little like Action 52, maybe. Also try these SNES games: Lord of the Rings, Whizz, and Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City.

These are always interesting to watch. I learn a tidbit or two and they crack me up.

I always took the buffalo shit scene as legit bullshit because right before that happens James is talking about starwars games that (I don’t think) exist.

The buffalo was definitely one of the funniest things that ever happened in any AVGN episode.
I almost didn’t make it watching this scene for the first time back in 2011 😀

When dropping a beer bottle on the floor, do you:
    A: Start panicking?
    B: Clean it up?
C: Start stepping on the glass shards for sound effects?

I already saw this outtake on the DVD, but I’m glad it’s available for everyone to see now. That buffalo joke sure is random, but I agree that the timing is right, and it prevents you from rambling on forever, so I think it’s great.

The first time I saw the Star Wars episode I just assumed that the buffallo literally shat through your window because all the game names you were shouting were, figuratively speaking, bullshit. The funny part for me was that it was a very illustrative representation of a foul word that’s not meant to be taken literally. Yeah, technically buffalos are not bulls, but in my mind they are close enough so I just connected the dots…

Breaking a beer bottle on your floor is like playing weapons and warriors. You’re picking that shit up forever. Particularly so if jettisoned from a vacuum cleaner it would seem.

So that was Mike who came up with the idea for the ending of the episode. Cool.

Hey James, I don’t know how useful this tip could be now, after all this time, but the best way to clean broken glass is to sweep all the pieces you can into a pile, get rid of the bulk, then use a damp paper towel over the surface for small shards and slivers of glass. If I were you I’d have covered the hard floor and then vacuumed the carpet.

LOL, great comment on how you noticed how small your Atari jacket looked on you. I really enjoyed your ‘behind scenes’ look on the droid’s stop motion and the beer bottle wire-thing, very entertaining!
