So many good memories of playing this game with bots and trip bombs and rc helicopters!

      November 25, 2013 at 12:06 pm

Actually I’d love to see an AVGN 007 episode!

      • November 25, 2013 at 2:36 pm

You guys should look into using Dolphin for emulating Gamecube and Wii. A lot of GC games still look excellent in 1440p when emulated =)

I use a Gamecube > USB converter, it cost 15 USD I think and does 2 controllers. So $30 and 10 minutes of setup time to play your Gamecube games in high res isn’t so bad.

You’ll need a decent CPU, but anything mid-range Intel 2-3 year old will do.

Because there’s truly nothing like playing it on the real thing, and that’s the way they do it.

  • November 25, 2013 at 12:35 pm

Loved this, you could tell you guys were having a blast! Keep it up guys!

looks like a cool game. I remember when it came out but I was never a big James Bond fan. Me and my bestfriend did play Goldeneye to death though when it was new like you said in the beginning everyone talks about goldeneye. If he hadn’t of owned a n64 and that game I don’t know if i would of ever played that one truthfully. I’m glad I did though

I love watching these sort of Let’s-Play videos with you and Mike xDD. They’re very raw and it feels like I’m in the room with you guys.

I loved this Game! I had it on GC and PS2

Goldeneye N64 was revolutionary. This was a good game and enjoyed it but Rareware bought first person shoot em up to a whole new level especially for console gaming. I hope Cinemassacre will one pay tribute to Rareware on there amazing productions with Nintendo.

  • November 25, 2013 at 1:40 pm

Yes! Like others are saying, Golden Eye definitely has to be a James and Mike video. You guys should play Conkers Bad Fur Day multi-player sometime. That’s my favorite multi-player on Nintendo besides Golden Eye.

  • November 25, 2013 at 1:45 pm

Dude, Agent Under Fire multiplayer was like playing Spiderman with guns. Grappling hook could attach to anything, even on the ground it sped you up, so everyone would just be flying around shooting explosives and bullets at each other XD
You guys gotta play Spiderman with guns the game.

I would love to play something like halo or battlefield with james and since them games have online it would be so awesome if james had his own tournament or like the angry nerd vs the world. Mike, James and bootyz vs random teams of fans. or it would be better to pick a shotter game no one plays that much then have like a fan mob just all log in and play with james on some shitty game LMAO just ideas but i hope they can be worked around and we can all play some games together, I understand james doesnt have the time to talk to every single one of his fans but james could take a day to just play games online and have his fans play too i bet the fans would like that alot! i know i would!

  • November 25, 2013 at 2:16 pm

Funny you should make this, just last week or so I tried the PC versioun since my console isn’t here. The consoles were way better than the PC version. I had this on PS2. This was my first FPS. Also, this is where “FUCKEEERS” came from? Hahah. Amazing.

This game actually has several kinds of golden guns. At least the PS2 version did. Gold plated P99, PPK, and the golden gun too. I think it was stage specific or something. Or maybe only Scaramanga had it? Or was it a gamemode? I need to boot this game up again. If there was one though, I’m certain it was OHK.

Sky Rail was actually remade for Halo I think? It was a great map.

The singleplayer stealth mission was great.

Guys, thanks for making this. It really brought back some good memories and had me laughing.

I played so, so much of this in high school haha. Wonderful game with fantastic multiplayer–it was the only Bond multiplayer to feel like Goldeneye but even better haha.

The sequel, “Everything Or Nothing”‘s campaign mode was even better–it’s actually my favorite James Bond game period because it makes you FEEL like Bond. It also had a really cool co-op multiplayer mode. Definitely check it out!

The Golden Gun and grappling hook was in this one…funny video, I used to play this one all the time too. Playing the multiplayer combat screens was more enjoyable than the game which was like a Moonraker rip off.

I had to review this game for a shitty games website I worked for back in the day, so I got it for free. The campaign was pretty cool too.

  • November 25, 2013 at 8:04 pm

Now, this is what multiplayer should be about, a bunch of friends sitting in the same room and having fun on the same screen, interacting with the game only as a pretext to interact with each other, making jokes and such.

I really miss this, N64 has been the last console where I had the chance to play with some friend, after that, Quake 2 arrived and it all moved online.

Thanks for the nice video, as always.

Oh man, Turok, Conker, Goldeneye… it’s all coming back.

  • November 25, 2013 at 11:39 pm

The match ended up in a 3way tie good job guys

Goldeneye and Perfect Dark is far better then this fuck EA for replacing them they can’t come close to either one of them.

Notalgia aside, anyone has to accept this is the definitive Bond game. It’s far superior to GoldenEye in every way.

  • November 26, 2013 at 12:04 am

Fuck yeah guys. You need to play more fucking gamecube games goddamn it! I demand you guys play the fucking gamecube Resident Evil remake with the lights off!! I want to see which one of you jumps when you run into your first crimson head!!

While I do in fact have good memories of playing multiplayer like this, such as Goldeneye 64. I can’t help but feel, looking back, how ghetto it is to play multi in tiny squares on the screen, where you can see what everyone is doing.

  • November 26, 2013 at 8:28 pm

Love nightfire have it for ps2

My brothers and I played this religiously. We used to call the A.I. Bots AL bots like Al Bundy or something. While Goldeneye was a bigger deal and more popular we still loved this one, too

  • December 27, 2013 at 5:31 pm

Skyrail had grappling points, and you could walk around on the wires

  • January 8, 2014 at 2:44 pm

Did anyone play the timesplitters games? I think half the team that made goldeneye (n64) for Rare split off (mr doak) and made those unofficial sequels – nothing like four people round a console doing this. Online can suck it compared to this sort of FPS gaming. Nice one.

I liked this episode and since the three of you were really enjoying how to blow yourselves out, I´d say for next monday, play Goldeneye 007 or Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. I want to see James, Mike, Bootsy and maybe another person kill each other in any of these great games that have great multiplayer modes. That´s my suggestion for the next James & Mike Monday. I hope I can see the three of you play any of these games.
