Damn missed it by a second.
October 15, 2013 at 8:50 am
On behalf of the internet, I’d like to thank you for not posting some inane “first” bullshit on this post. Congrats.
October 16, 2013 at 7:49 pm
I could not agree more lol!!
Man did not make it first oh well i like this one a other MONSTER FIGHT.
October 15, 2013 at 1:30 pm
if you ever do get first, and just say first, I will kill you.
October 16, 2013 at 2:01 am
Please do. The world could use a lot less morons who are obsessed with typing “first” after videos.
October 15, 2013 at 6:12 am
Happy Halloween form Greece!
October 15, 2013 at 6:16 am
This one actually looks pretty good, outside of the kids constantly screaming “GAMER-GAMERA!” over top of each other.
October 15, 2013 at 6:22 am
That was the single most beautiful moment in cinema history
October 15, 2013 at 6:43 am
What the hell is that at the 9 minute mark! I can’t pause it and see!!!
October 15, 2013 at 6:44 am
*in the last 9 seconds of the video!!! It flashes for half a second before the monster madness screen shows up!!!
October 15, 2013 at 6:50 am
I guess it’s just a half second picture of viras, that really fucked me up!
October 15, 2013 at 8:02 am
It’s a frame of Viras left over from the footage he spliced together. Occasionally when editing video a rogue frame will get left in. It’s just a close-up of Viras.
October 15, 2013 at 7:24 am
Watch as someone makes this T-shirt within the next 24 hours.
October 15, 2013 at 9:15 am
I’ll buy one! XL please?
October 15, 2013 at 9:34 am
GAMERA! GAMERA! GAMERA! GAMERA! *edit in some stock footage* GAMERA! GAMERA!
October 15, 2013 at 10:13 am
Fun time with Gamera!
Viras is pretty spooky.
October 15, 2013 at 10:28 am
October 15, 2013 at 10:38 am
So who won!!?? Gamera or Virus?
October 15, 2013 at 10:39 am
GAMMA UH!! GAMMA UH!!! GAMMA UH!!1!11!!
October 15, 2013 at 11:21 am
awesome review James, I miss the Hammer stuff but Monster Madness is always great. No matter what film you choose to do.
October 15, 2013 at 12:26 pm
no one knew gamera was a registered sex offender
October 15, 2013 at 12:40 pm
u forgot to mention the guy shooting his arm like a missle.
October 15, 2013 at 12:59 pm
Awesome to find a new review gem here every day 🙂 Thanks a lot for the efford, helps to get over the gruesome autumn weather here.
October 15, 2013 at 1:24 pm
Happy Halloween from Mexico 🙂
October 15, 2013 at 1:25 pm
I hope he will do the Friday 13 series !
October 15, 2013 at 6:30 pm
James said he won’t be doing the Friday the 13th films unfortunately…he said they’d take up too much of the month up despite him dedicating 1/2 the month to Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street during the first Sequel-a-thon…if James would do two movies a review, he could get through all of them in a week…oh well..
Keep up the good work though James!
October 16, 2013 at 2:02 am
Yes, because the world is really going to miss him reviewing all 800 Friday the 13th movies.
October 15, 2013 at 2:06 pm
man, 4th review of the Gamera series and it’s still getting better and better. funny how the name Viras sounds like Virus. these Gamera films all look amazingly creative in it’s monster designs and battles that I wonder if anyone actually prefers the Gamera series over the Godzilla series. when they reboot Godzilla, I want the sequel to have Godzilla Vs Gamera. once again James, you did such an amazing job. flawless victory!!!
October 15, 2013 at 2:31 pm
Let our power combine, we are Captain Viras.
October 15, 2013 at 2:50 pm
Monster Madness is awesome, could you do a Remake-A-Thon next year? 🙂
October 15, 2013 at 3:01 pm
That’s a great idea!
October 16, 2013 at 2:06 am
The only problem with that idea, is that there are an awful lot of REALLY shitty remakes. In fact most horror/sci-fi remakes are not good. Also, he did previously cover some sci-fi remakes back when he was doing videos for Spike, such as with The Blob and The Day the Earth Stood Still.
October 18, 2013 at 4:30 pm
I know, but there are good ones too, though I agree with you that the majorety of all remakes stinks.
October 15, 2013 at 3:58 pm
James I have to say everything you do here at Cinemassacre continues to be one of the rare moments of pure joy in my life. A huge thanks to you, Mike and everyone involved. 🙂 Live the dream dear 🙂 You make us all proud.
October 15, 2013 at 4:05 pm
I didn’t know that this Gamera movie existed. I saw the first movie alone, but all the other Gamera movies I enjoyed through Mystery Science Theater 3000. I wonder why they left this one out?
October 15, 2013 at 7:20 pm
Probably because of all the stock footage and the fact that this one is kind of fun/good.
October 15, 2013 at 4:16 pm
Gamera! Gamera! Gamera!
October 15, 2013 at 4:42 pm
Lol, nice video James!
October 15, 2013 at 5:16 pm
The worst thing about these videos is that, that they end so fast !
October 15, 2013 at 5:24 pm
This movie was sooooo damn hilarious xDDDDDDDDD… Once again I blame to my cable provider to not show them on tv -.- ….
October 15, 2013 at 7:17 pm
Man I wanted to punch those little kids…
October 15, 2013 at 7:38 pm
*Viras stabs Gamera*
SHELL SHOCK!!! ;D
October 15, 2013 at 8:33 pm
LAWL A Classic !
October 15, 2013 at 9:45 pm
I’m with James on this series. I never watched it until I saw it on Mystery Science Theater 3000. There’s 2 Godzilla episodes but like 4 or 5 Gamera ones…and even more if some are the same if you ever get ‘Season 0’ of MST3K. In 1989 on public access they riffed it without scripts and you get all different jokes and the old Tom Servo. It’s awesome.
October 15, 2013 at 11:30 pm
Is this where George Lucas got the idea for the merging aliens at the end of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?
October 16, 2013 at 12:06 am
That was classic…when you went, “What the hell is that?” My girlfriend glanced at the screen and uttered those same words.
October 16, 2013 at 12:30 am
i like the smashing pumpkins but i’m really tired of the ad
October 16, 2013 at 12:43 am
Now this is what I’m talking about.
October 16, 2013 at 1:30 am
can i please have a a gif of that spinning i would be so fucking happy
October 16, 2013 at 2:19 am
Oh, I get it. Viras is like a virus and Gamera must be some kind of antibody or leukocyte giving it the boot.
October 17, 2013 at 1:52 pm
These videos rule! Thanks!
October 19, 2013 at 5:43 am
Gamera! Gamera! Go Gamera! Bananafana fo Famera! Mi my mo mamera Gamera!
October 19, 2013 at 5:41 pm
October 20, 2013 at 10:15 pm
I love all the US titles of the Gamera movies lol.
October 22, 2013 at 4:44 pm
Hahahaha nice. I love how it uses the black and white stock footage, even though this is a color movie, and doesn’t even a give a crap. The aliens are decently creative, at least. I like that they don’t just look like humans. And that they combine to form the monster is a nice twist. Haha, T-shirt indeed! That’s great stuff! 😀
October 29, 2013 at 9:09 pm
why doesn’t he upload these on youtube?
November 7, 2013 at 12:04 am
Looks like a more action-version of ”Godzilla’s revenge” but that last action sequence of Gamera and Viras battling looked fun!
May 6, 2014 at 6:25 pm
Gamera is boring.
October 8, 2014 at 3:54 pm
The alien Alarm sounds like Ghidorah
January 24, 2016 at 1:36 am
Viras piroettes better than Squidward.
