Finally you reposted this! Thanks, Mike! I missed six of them. Love these kinds of videos!
August 11, 2013 at 10:22 pm
I cannot believe you had the deathblow from Home Improvement! I cannot even beat the first level!
August 12, 2013 at 12:51 am
Great video again Mother Fucking Mike
Keep up the great work
August 12, 2013 at 12:52 am

August 12, 2013 at 12:57 am

August 12, 2013 at 12:55 am
Spider-man beating Thanos…lol
August 12, 2013 at 1:10 am
Hmm interesting. A couple of those were pretty easy but most I was really guessing at. Still unsure of a few. But to the ones I recognized, kudos!
I would make a comment about one, but don’t really want to spoil it for anyone else… but nice to see one in there from a nerd episode :p
August 12, 2013 at 1:20 am
Thanks for being considerate to the others attempting to guess. I think it would be okay to talk about any particular game listed as long as you don’t give away which number it is.
August 12, 2013 at 5:08 am
speaking of video game trivia, remember in the 90’s when Toys R Us stores had those video game stands that gave you a preview of the next game coming out? I remember seeing those during the snes days. they stopped doing that right before the end of the n64 life cycle. beyond Toys R Us, I also remember the original name for Gamestop, Funcoland. it’s amazing that you can still find those old Funcoland commercials on you tube.
August 12, 2013 at 5:15 am
now a days, if you wanted to play some old school games, they now sell clone systems all over the internet. some actually play snes, nes, and genesis on the same console while others allow you to play snes games on the go. they tend to look like bulkier game boy consoles that allow you to put the snes cart on the top. they even sell wireless snes controllers. some accessories that were introduced even allow you to play genesis games or even nes games on your super nintendo. imagine, huh? maybe that could be a future avgn episode or mike episode. i’d be glad to let you guys know where to find them.
August 12, 2013 at 1:13 am
I would really like to know what #32 is. I got that piece of music stuck in my head.
August 12, 2013 at 1:22 am
I’ll give you a hint. There’s a number in the title. 😉
August 12, 2013 at 1:28 am
Hey! I’m not alone in that one, huh? Number in the title… Wonder if it’s a year or sequel. Thanks… I’ll try to figure this out.
August 12, 2013 at 1:51 am
Also, Mink, REAL cool of you to take the time to respond to the fans the way you do. That’s Mother Fucking Awesome, Mike! Looking forward to the movie, hope to see it on the big screen in the Dallas area (or here in Fort Worth). Hope you and the guitar guy from behind the couch making at least a cameo or two.
Sorry for not knoing Guitar Guy’s name. I tried the a b b a trick to get him to pop up so I could ask and maybe get my own theme music, but nothing happened.
Again, thanks for years of entertainment, keep up the good work! P.S. Tried Fester’s Quest after seeing the video, that one is pretty fun!
August 12, 2013 at 11:05 am
Oh thanks Mike I found it wanted it for the music but also ended up liking the game so I’m gonna play it. Maybe sometime y’all could make a video of top Video Game Soundtracks I would be interested in seeing that. Oh I really like how you take the time to respond to the comments that’s really cool.
August 12, 2013 at 9:10 pm
I’ll back that up! Top Video Game Soundtracks.. Or another guessing game. Good idea!
August 12, 2013 at 1:24 am
This one was kinda easy with such iconic characters. A few of these (ActRaiser for one) I was able to recognize the hero even without ever getting close to the boss. There was one I didn’t recognize, but I think I would want to play it. Number 32. Can I get some help with that? Anyone?
August 12, 2013 at 2:21 am
A lot of licensed games, which made this a little easier than the NES one.
August 12, 2013 at 2:27 am
Why would you beat Kefka with Sabin, Realm, Setzer and Umaro? It’s like breaking Whelk’s shell, you can, but… why?
August 12, 2013 at 2:45 am
Guess that’s just what happened. I don’t remember. Some of these recordings are from discs I did years ago.
August 12, 2013 at 2:58 am
#48 was both one of my favorites and most hated when I was a kid. The wolverine levels were so creepy/awesome (clowns and circus music). It wasn’t until about a year ago that I actually beat that game!
Great list! I was stumped by only 6 or 7 of them!
August 12, 2013 at 3:00 am
Which numbers stumped you?
August 12, 2013 at 3:12 am
Had to re watch to make an actual count, My guesstimate of 6-7 was a bit short. I missed ten of them.
August 12, 2013 at 3:22 am
I forget which number it was, but was one of them Super Bonk? Looked like it could be.
August 12, 2013 at 3:28 am
Oh and I was glad to see Chrono Trigger in there. It look me years but I finally tracked down a real cart of it. Playing the ROM or the DS version never felt right. Still waiting for another Chrono game (Don’t say Cross either, the battle load times ruin it)
August 12, 2013 at 3:42 am
Whether its AVGN, James & Mike Play, or your assortment of game reviews and fun videos like this, you and James have consistently pumped out terrific material all year. Heres hoping there will be a 2013 dvd with all of this content packed together.
August 12, 2013 at 3:46 am
Well i’ll try hard this time, my body is ready so let’s start.
Super Castlevania IV, Actraiser, Return of the Jedi, Megaman X4 or 3 (don’t know), Knights of the Round, Super Ghouls ‘n’ Ghosts, Final Fight, FFIV (yes i call it IV), DKC, Chrono Trigger, SMW2: Yoshi’s Island, Starfox/Starwing, Batman Returns, Super Star Wars maybe, FFVI.
Man i don’t know shit.
August 12, 2013 at 3:49 am
The Mega Man was 7 I believe. Definitely not X3 def not X4 as that wasn’t a SNES game.
August 12, 2013 at 9:24 am
0h right, too many Megamans. xD
August 12, 2013 at 3:51 am
Ivan Ooze yeah!
August 12, 2013 at 3:56 am
What?! Nothing from Super Metroid?! Lol
August 12, 2013 at 4:00 am
59 games?! HOLY SHIET!
August 12, 2013 at 4:04 am
Awesome. I got quite a few. There are some I would like to know the answer to though if you have a place to put the list of games you put into the video. Thanks in advance!
August 12, 2013 at 4:39 am
Mike i just want to know who in the hell brings Umaro to fight Kefka and why would you do that to yourself
August 12, 2013 at 4:44 am
Hi Mike! Nice video. I saw it when it was first uploaded, but then it was taken down and I was confused, but I’m happy to see it was re-uploaded.
Anyway, I just want to say that I’ve been a big fan since I first discovered Cinemassacre years ago, and I come here frequently to see what new content you’ve posted. I especially like your James & Mike Plays, and I hope it becomes a long-term series. Keep up the good work.
August 12, 2013 at 5:02 am
I got most of them, but the one I can’t even guess is 47 – is there a list of answers? That one is really stumping me.
August 12, 2013 at 5:40 am
Great video mike, but what was 41?
August 12, 2013 at 8:17 am
Man, I used to love me some Joe and Mac!
August 12, 2013 at 8:25 am
Hey guys, check this out.
I think I’m named all the games right.
August 12, 2013 at 8:35 am
It’s amazing that you beat Dr. Wily in Mega Man 7. He has to rank up there as one of the hardest end bosses in video games. I could never beat him in that game. I made it to him once and all I got was a nervous breakdown.
August 12, 2013 at 8:48 am
“I say bit of bad luck” again cool video Mike!!!
August 12, 2013 at 10:57 am
Got probably 35 or 36 of them. A handful I knew but couldn’t think of the name, but I choose to count them anyway!
August 12, 2013 at 11:09 am
Yeah, Mike you do a great job on these deathblow videos. Like I said, only about six of them stumped me.
August 12, 2013 at 11:28 am
A lot of those I recognized. Then there were others, I had no freakin’ clue about, lol! By the way ::: Spoiler Alert::: So glad to see you included Final Fantasy II and III. I’m currently playing both games right now on my WII thanks to Homebrew. Both I beat in the past, but enjoyed so much, I’m going to finish them again. Awesome job once again Mike. You ‘da man!
August 12, 2013 at 4:15 pm
the only game i had never seen before was number 2, what is the name of that game? looks fun
August 12, 2013 at 5:54 pm
nvm i found out it was run saber
August 12, 2013 at 7:47 pm
I really wish Xcalibur 2097 made it onto the Genesis. I almost forgot about that game until I saw it on here. I remember my best friend picking that game up when a video store sold it for $10. We had a lot of fun with it 🙂 A true hidden gem!
August 12, 2013 at 7:58 pm
Great video! When I watched this initially, I thought for sure I was going to get at least 75% of them. I think I was lucky to get 50% of them. I know #3 you talked about before.
August 12, 2013 at 8:23 pm
Man, you missed Mother Brain, shame on you…
August 12, 2013 at 9:06 pm
There are a lot of SNES games I didn’t include. The point wasn’t to show every single super nintendo game.
August 13, 2013 at 1:10 am
Here I thought I’d played a good number of Super Nintendo games, and yet I only recognized about 5 or so of the ones in this video. And I must say, I’m surprised to see that there was a Bobby’s World Super Nintendo game. But then they did make a game based on the very short-lived Family Dog, so I guess it’s not that surprising after all.
August 13, 2013 at 1:14 am
should go more classy and call the series ‘Grim Reaper Fellatio’…..great video mike , fun stuff.
August 13, 2013 at 11:08 am
Awesome to see a rare gem like Hagane in this mix. As always, top-shelf selection of deathblows!
August 13, 2013 at 4:23 pm
August 13, 2013 at 8:09 pm
Great video Mike! I’ve been a huge fan of you and James for such a long time now, but I’m just now making an account here to finally say thanks! I really appreciate the constant videos. Great entertainment! 🙂
August 13, 2013 at 9:21 pm
I hope no one missed Wild Guns.
August 13, 2013 at 9:24 pm
Also, I hadn’t even seen about 75% of these games played, I could probably guess about 50% from my the time I put into Nintendo Power, but if it weren’t for the internet, I would probably only remember something like 10% of them.
August 13, 2013 at 11:28 pm
why is it that every time I try to watch the vid in hd it lags like mad?
August 14, 2013 at 8:45 am
Great video! I had to watch one of your other videos to remember the name of #49. I didn’t even know that some of those shows were made into games!
August 14, 2013 at 3:49 pm
Boy, Kefka really shuffles off those mortal coils.
August 14, 2013 at 5:35 pm
Poor Umaro missed it.
August 14, 2013 at 11:32 pm
Great video mike man.
August 15, 2013 at 8:01 am
August 15, 2013 at 10:40 pm
these fuckin guys are awesome
August 16, 2013 at 4:33 pm
Well done mike awesome vid
August 17, 2013 at 4:22 am
Great vid Mike; a little aside, I bet most people thought that given the sturdy construction of the snes controller that it was damn near indestructible, wrong. I slammed my player 1 controller off the floor breaking it open during one of the countless runs I took at the final boss in Super R-Type. Finally beat him on my only remaining controller the next day with time to cool off and reflect. Cousin was pretty pissed our MK2 wars were put on hold for a while, but at least I beat Super R-Type.
August 18, 2013 at 3:19 pm
I got 29 of them.
October 18, 2013 at 6:32 am
Which one is number 32? It looks a bit like this game I saw at the arcade years ago. I don’t remember the name, but it felt themed on Big Trouble in Little China. On occasion levels would teleport you from city streets to a spiritual world. Have any clue what game this might be?
March 29, 2014 at 4:37 pm
I know most of these games, so I had more luck with this one than with the NES one, for which I only knew about 50% of the games.
Great video, the nostalgia is powerful with this one. I think I’m gonna go back to play a few of these I still have around.
April 21, 2014 at 5:03 pm
Brings back everything
June 2, 2014 at 1:50 am
Super Nintendo <3 loved Mario so bad and Donkey Kong as well :S They sure don't make games like that anymore, stuck playing flash games, an ice cream game papa’s freezeria in particular lol
February 14, 2015 at 2:20 am
I really like how when it says Youtube personalities, it shows you drawing different people and last but not least, yourself. (in the bugs suit) I think its pretty humble of you. You are a great artist Mikhel.
February 14, 2015 at 2:24 am
To Miiverse speed drawings of course ^_^ wasnt sure if i posted there or not -__- lol
March 1, 2015 at 7:10 pm
Mike, did you play through all these games? Or did you use codes to skip to the final level in some of them.
January 15, 2016 at 5:50 pm
I knew well over 40 of them easy, I might not know all full titles. But, considering I never played like any Super games. I’d say that’s not bad.
