July 11, 2013 at 12:43 am
Great video! But I’m wondering whether or not Ernest fit the criteria you gave at the beginning or not… On one hand he’s empowered by his electrocution, but on the other he does make others suffer via electricity, so I guess it counts.
July 12, 2013 at 4:59 pm
The Ernest sounds like what happens to Jack Black in Be Kind Rewind.
July 11, 2013 at 12:45 am
Great video, James.
July 11, 2013 at 1:01 am
Good job but do you keep a big supply of these clips straight from the dvd’s or do you find them in trailers? off of a video sharing website???
July 11, 2013 at 1:10 am
All the clips probably came from Mike’s DVD archive. http://cinemassacre.com/2013/01/31/mikes-vhs-collection-update-and-movie-talk/
July 11, 2013 at 1:43 am
How do you know all the clips came from Mike’s DVDs? He has his own DVDs.
July 11, 2013 at 9:30 am
OOO “It’s a Lady”
July 11, 2013 at 1:02 am
Technically if you are electrocuted you are dead, thus the definition of the word. If you don’t die, you were only shocked.
July 11, 2013 at 2:11 pm
Oh. I know what it’s like having to be electrified I still have the scar dating back to 1990.
July 13, 2013 at 1:15 pm
When I was a toddler I stuck my finger in an electrical socket.
July 11, 2013 at 1:09 am
July 11, 2013 at 1:13 am
Horace FUCKING Pinker…That is all.
July 11, 2013 at 1:29 am
Great Video James! Just like always!
July 11, 2013 at 1:35 am
What is the name of the movie that we can see at 0:31 to 0:34 ? Thanks in advance
July 11, 2013 at 2:16 am
“The Running Man” from one of my dvds.
July 11, 2013 at 1:36 am
James is around the same age as Me, so it’s no surprise that He says Return of the living dead was one of the greatest zombie flicks of all time, I wholeheartedly agree . It’s also no surprise that He has ROTLD2 ending as the #2, the part with Micheal Jackson’s thriller zombie had Me laughing back then.
July 11, 2013 at 1:37 am
How did you manage to omit the climax of Return of the Jedi with the Sith electrocuting Luke???
July 11, 2013 at 1:47 am
I thought number one was going to be from star wars where the emperor electrocutes Luke… Anyways, great video. Keep it up
July 11, 2013 at 2:35 am
Two things. 1) Earnest goes to Jail is the first thing I thought of and I’m glad it’s on the list. And 2) Benjamin Franlkin was more of an entrepreneur than a scientist. Tesla is the actual mastermind of electricity.
July 11, 2013 at 2:55 am
No Return of the Jedi?
July 11, 2013 at 2:56 am
Always great to find someone who loves Gremlins 2 as much as I do, but I confess I, too, was surprised to not see “Return of the Jedi.” Is that because it was fictional magic electricity and not the Ben Franklin kind?
July 11, 2013 at 4:20 am
I’m not entirely sure if force lightning is the same as electricity.
July 11, 2013 at 10:03 pm
July 11, 2013 at 3:05 am
Awesome as always. So glad to see Marv’s amazing scene from Sin City in the intro; I would have put that in the top 10 myself, and that crazy fucked-up botched electrocution from The Green Mile. And the Emperor in Jedi. But you can’t include all the greats and this was a great list regardless. Thanks!
July 11, 2013 at 4:19 am
The Green Mile is in there.
July 11, 2013 at 4:26 am
Just rewatched it. Yeah, that’s embarrassing, it’s totally in there. Not sure how I missed that. Anyway, awesome. And thank you very much!
July 11, 2013 at 3:12 am
Where are all the puns? 🙁
July 11, 2013 at 4:43 am
As soon as I saw this I thought of Marv in Home Alone 2 haha better be in there 😉
July 11, 2013 at 4:49 am
“What kind of sick freak talks to a dead guy?!”
July 11, 2013 at 4:59 am
About the Jedi complaint: I always thought that James was more of a horror fan rather than a sci-fi fan. In his own favoritism he might have wanted something more memorable in his own childhood opposed to everyone else.
The emperor being fried was great, though lol.
July 11, 2013 at 7:03 am
Thanks for listing the movies at the end of the episode, I saw Midnight Movie on Chiller one night, and I forgot the name ever since.
July 11, 2013 at 7:08 am
I called number 1. but no home alone 2?
July 11, 2013 at 8:51 am
Oh come on! How can you not include the slow, gruesome Del-electrocution from the Green Mile? That’s just plain wrong…
July 11, 2013 at 9:20 am
No Green Mile!?
July 11, 2013 at 9:31 am
Electricity is also the reason our neurons in our brains work, and it is the fucking life itself. Just mentioning
July 11, 2013 at 9:41 am
I get that realistic electrocutions are less fun and graphic, but the one from The Green Mile was still pretty gruesome to count.
July 11, 2013 at 10:11 am
next review phantom of the paradise
July 11, 2013 at 11:36 am
Hey James good timing with this video, it’s Nikola Tesla’s 154th birthday today!
July 11, 2013 at 11:42 am
Nice list! I would have thought the scene from Police story where Jackie Chan jumps through all the wires would be up there but still good video!
July 11, 2013 at 12:25 pm
Aww, no Return of the Jedi?
But I get it though, that’s not truly electricity as it’s the Emperor’s Force Lightning :-P.
July 11, 2013 at 4:16 pm
Excellent mention Peelman! Definetly one that should of been included, but was more than likely missed by mistake.
July 11, 2013 at 1:30 pm
I was actually expecting the scene in Lost Boys where the vampire gets pinned to a stereo and the stereo fries the shit out of him until his limbs blow off. Perhaps it didn’t meet the criteria of showing the electricity, but there were plenty of sparks!
July 11, 2013 at 4:19 pm
Awesome mention Andrewcounty! I totally forgot about that scene until you brought it up. Definetly a good one! Dude gets fried to the core and it’s totally rad!
July 11, 2013 at 3:39 pm
Greetings and salutations James and Mike!!!
I was waiting for the electrocution scene from Young Einstein at the end of the movie with the electrified guitar. (4..4..times..HA)
July 11, 2013 at 4:14 pm
I loved Ernest Goes To Jail! Best movie ever. You should do a tribute video to such a great legend. Ernest Scared Stupid! Cinemassacre’s Monster Madness this Halloween! M-I-A-K!!!
July 11, 2013 at 4:15 pm
Sin City and Shocker but not the similar scene from The Horror Show/House III? It was pretty much the same movie as Shocker and arguably better. Brion James at his most sinister!
July 11, 2013 at 4:24 pm
July 11, 2013 at 6:41 pm
The Jedi scene could have been in there, sure. But it would have been out of place without AC/DC
July 11, 2013 at 4:30 pm
Does anybody remember the film “NO HOLDS BARRED” There is an awesome electrocution scene at the end of the film. Bad guy Kurt Fuller gets destroyed by electricity. Check it out, film is on youtube, but I couldnt find the scene to provide the link. The only wrestling film I ever enjoyed. Zeussssssssss
July 11, 2013 at 4:47 pm
Why don’t you upload all of these videos to youtube? I can’t download them from here
July 11, 2013 at 5:38 pm
How can you not put “Trick or Treat” on the list?
July 11, 2013 at 6:53 pm
No animals allowed. Unless you’re a killer shark. Fuck those!
July 11, 2013 at 6:54 pm
I had a feeling you would put the scene from Ernest goes to Jail on the list. It is like the best scene in the movie.
July 11, 2013 at 8:49 pm
Nice seeing that clip from Pokemon 1, the scene that made that movie pretty much.
July 11, 2013 at 9:50 pm
Totally agree with most of these especially Gremlins 2 as number 1 and Joker and Catwomans. But I think Doc Brown should maybe should have made the cut over Jaws 2. Also, got to give an honorable mention to the classic beginning of Goldfinger. Shocking. Positively shocking.
July 11, 2013 at 11:29 pm
“The Believers” (1987) Had the most brutal electrocution scene I’ve ever seen. It wouldn’t fit the criteria for this video but it’s quite horrifying. Another worthwhile mention and one that could make this list would be “Mute Witness”.
July 12, 2013 at 12:13 am
Ya nailed it for me with the mention of Ernest and Gremlins. Such perfect scenes and what a hoot of a collection of electrifying moments. Great job James. The Dr. has spoken. Tune in to the Dr. below… or else!!!
July 12, 2013 at 5:04 am
May I suggest these for the future:
Top 10 stair fall scenes (Death Becomes Her springs to mind)
Top 10 freak out scenes (where the character has a breakdown or goes on a rampage)
Top 10 death by animal scenes
July 12, 2013 at 5:27 am
Top ten freak out scenes would be cool… The Room’s ending scene, anyone?
Wouldn’t want to see a scene from the film “Rampage” make it on there though… Disgusting.
July 12, 2013 at 9:47 am
w00t?! No tongue scene from Howard the Duck? xD
July 12, 2013 at 12:57 pm
Holy shit James. I know this has nothing to do with this video but you should see Pacific Rim. It is the best movie of 2013 and i know you would love it since you’re a huge kaiju fan. I just came out of the IMAX 3D showing and it didn’t disappoint.
July 12, 2013 at 1:00 pm
When I saw the title, the scene with the Joker was the first one that came into my mind. I am glad, it made the list.
July 12, 2013 at 4:57 pm
Wo I got to add 9 of them to my Blockbuster by Mail qeuce as I don’t remember at lot of the movies. Because I’m fan of Arnold the only movie on the list I own on Blu-ray is Commando.
July 12, 2013 at 5:10 pm
Why would you ignore the electrocution scene from the Green Mile where the guard puts dry sponges on the guy. That is probably one of the most disturbing and emotionally charged scenes I could think of. But, That probably wouldn’t fit with the rest of these as I imagine you want to see the rest of these.
July 13, 2013 at 4:05 am
The Green Mile is in the video.
July 12, 2013 at 8:24 pm
Nice list man
July 12, 2013 at 10:41 pm
i love the phantom of the paradise clip!!!!
July 13, 2013 at 2:08 am
I reallly tought Big Trouble in little China should be on there 😛
July 13, 2013 at 1:16 pm
July 13, 2013 at 3:48 pm
My favorite one is from Chopping Mall.
July 13, 2013 at 3:57 pm
As said previously Green Mile, and also Topsy the elephant star of the first snuff film murdered by Thomas Edison to prove a point. I hope he got his point across.
July 14, 2013 at 12:22 am
love these vids man keep it up
July 14, 2013 at 5:20 am
Do we get a corpse? Do we get a corpse?!
Great Top 10 Movie, James!
July 14, 2013 at 11:56 am
I’d love to see James share his thoughts on Pacific Rim. I know he’s about as big of a fan of giant monster movies as you can find, so I’d really like to know how much he enjoyed this new monster-mash dream-come-true.
July 14, 2013 at 5:24 pm
All my favourite scenes weren’t even mentioned in the list. They were in the clips you showed before the list even started.
July 17, 2013 at 7:09 am
How can Taken (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0936501/?ref_=sr_1) not make the list? Just such a hardcore and awesome Electrocution.
July 18, 2013 at 9:04 am
James, To me, I wish, you pick another death scene like Debbie’s death in Addam’s Family Valves.
July 18, 2013 at 4:02 pm
Can anyone help me figure out why everytime I come to this sight in the last few months im getting every video stuck on the loading page? it never comes up not even after I let it sit saying loading for an hour. is it my java or something? I been keeping it updated. Its just a shame I cant keep up with james’ stuff anymore! ugh.
July 18, 2013 at 4:17 pm
Return of the Jedi? Not as gruesome but I’ll never forget how tense it was first time seeing it as a kid.
July 21, 2013 at 7:00 pm
Nice! You went for some unexpected ones! I totally forgot about Gremlins 2 electric scene. There’s just so much other over the top stuff in that movie!
July 22, 2013 at 12:39 am
Debbie Jellinsky from The Addams Family Values died this way didn’t she? Beautiful
July 22, 2013 at 3:17 pm
Nice list james! 😀
July 22, 2013 at 6:14 pm
Robert Z’Dar in Tango & Cash!! My most memorable electrocution
July 23, 2013 at 7:37 am
Says “no animals.”
Shows shark getting fried.
July 24, 2013 at 12:33 am
hey dude the reason he talks to dead people is he (jack nicholson) was in the shining and that one other movie where he fakes being insane.
July 24, 2013 at 6:40 pm
One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s nest. Is that what you meant?
July 24, 2013 at 6:38 pm
that was fun
July 24, 2013 at 7:11 pm
i would have included the emperor shocking Luke
July 26, 2013 at 12:02 am
Mike or James please tell me what movie the clip with the guy in what looks like a glass room, with what looks like a tv on his head is shocked and his eye starts coming out. Lol I must see this movie in its practical effect glory.
August 2, 2014 at 10:48 am
That would be Lloyd Kaufman’s Tromeo and Juliet”
July 26, 2013 at 12:04 am
At :50-:55 is the clip.
July 26, 2013 at 9:30 pm
To me one of the most memorable electrocution scenes is when Timmy got shocked while climbing the electric fence in Jurassic Park. It was definitely was less flashy than many of these on James’ list, but the tension was pretty high and it made me scared of electric fences and wires that could be live as a kid.
July 29, 2013 at 4:00 am
Very true, Yamazon3, that Jurassic Park scene was pretty intense indeed!
The Emperor attempting to electrocute Luke Skywalker to death in Return of the Jedi is also memorable, especially since Darth Vader actually comes to his son’s rescue, making the scene that much more powerful as a result.
July 28, 2013 at 3:09 pm
What an electrifying top 10 list, James!
While I’m really glad that those scenes from Jaws 2, Batman and Gremlins 2 The New Batch are on here, I’m absolutely shocked that you didn’t include the epic finale from the 1986 remake of Little Shop of Horrors starring Rick Moranis! Here is a link to it:
Well, to be fair, the explosion could have been better :).
Anyway, thank you for mentioning Bennett’s electrocution from Commando :). I always love watching that scene, as it defies all logic hahaha!
The Home Alone 2 scene is also pretty memorable, since it’s really over the top :).
Jason getting resurrected after getting electrocuted by lightning in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives is also pretty bad ass!
August 9, 2013 at 2:19 am
I like this kind of top 10 list. Maybe the next one is worst 10 movie decapitations? I saw two terrible ones in the clips at the beginning of the Dracula 1972 review. Keep up the great work! This is a real top 10 video; I need to stop viewing “Watch Mojo” top 10s…
August 18, 2013 at 1:46 pm
Oh I forgot about Shocker! The Megadeth cover of “No More Mr. Nice Guy” from that soundtrack was pretty killer.
August 21, 2013 at 1:43 pm
God I love boiling zombie flesh!
September 27, 2013 at 9:06 am
June 2, 2014 at 8:42 pm
5:25 So Ernest becomes Cole from InFamous? Cool
July 23, 2014 at 6:28 pm
September 22, 2014 at 1:24 am
you forgot the death by stereo scene from The Lost Boys.
