I Live Behind the Couch – Chord Progression

Don’t question my necessity.

Feed me, I survive on just rice and beans.

Eager to see the world beyond this couch,

but you neglected me, trapped me …

…and killed me

So now I’m bitter and I have rage.

In return, I bestow the title Nintendo dork

A small penance, for you returned me my life.

But I’m sick of hearing you rant and pontificate, forgetting to…..

…feed me

Don’t question me.

Nintendo dork.

I live behind the couch.

Don’t question me.

Nintendo dork.

I live behind the couch.

I live, I live, I live behind the couch.

My space may be small, but I call it home.

Cause I don’t need much, just a place to lay my head.

And I got my posters and a couple albums.

A new hat would be nice, but at least give me something to eat.

Cause I want to be in front of the couch someday.

I need to eat really healthy.

Some vegetables and some chicken noodle soup.

Maybe I should go jogging, nevermind, jogging’s too hard.  I’m sweating like an animal.

You fucking Nintendo dork.

Don’t question me.

I live behind the couch.

I want to be in front of the couch.

Take a stroll to the side of the couch,

and maybe even look out a window.

Can I get a burrito?

Fuck there’s a pesky mosquito.

I live behind the couch.

I live, fucking Nintendo dork.

I live, fucking Nintendo dork.

I live, I live behind the couch.

I live behind the couch.

Fucking Nintendo dork.

I live behind the couch.

Start working at home with Google! It’s by-far the best job Ive had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this – 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringin home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, http://qr.net/Jobs100

    great song! Hilarious!

However, did anyone else have to crank their sound all the way up to hear it at all?

I wish I had a Kyle living behind my couch. I would feed him very nutritious meals regularly and take him out for a walk once in a while, but only if he had all his shots and sang me a traveling song as we strolled. Poor behind-the-couch-bound Kyle. James will probably get a letter from the ASPCM (M for Musicians) for this mistreatment! haha

I can feel Guitar Guy’s anger in this song. It would be great to hear this in a Nerd episode, maybe during a montage where Guitar Guy beats up the Nerd or something.

Will somebody get this man a burrito? This song is hilarious 🙂 Always happy when we get more Kyle.

  • May 9, 2013 at 3:11 pm

I like it. I have Kyle’s Live at The Tin Angel album, and this song has the same kind of sound and feel. good job!

not many men are smoother than Kyle Justin.

  • May 9, 2013 at 11:39 pm

I thought he survived only on left over drops of beer that James tosses behind himself.

  • May 10, 2013 at 3:14 am

Awwwwwww, he’s angry. Come on, Nintendo dork, get that man a burrito, then walk him twice a week. You will see his eyes shine, that’s worth of every burrito in the world.

I really enjoy these kind of updates. Keep up the good work Kyle! Never give up playing! Never give up from behind the couch!

  • May 10, 2013 at 10:49 pm

Funny, but not worth 99 cents at all.

  • May 11, 2013 at 1:11 am

I bought the song as a way of saying thanks to Kyle for all the music for the nerd episodes.

I bet part of his frustration is Kyle is now known for just doing these kinds of songs where he probably wants to be known for more than just this.

Thanks Kyle. I liked the song.

  • May 11, 2013 at 2:12 am

This world needs more songs in B flat minor.

Lol, fucking love all you guys! Anyhow funny song Justin, this reminds me of a very disappointingly confusing Jason Mraz song. Luv the bluesy tone to it.
