I like this kind of videos. They are relaxing in a way.
May 6, 2013 at 8:43 pm
totally agree….miss so much the monster madness movies 🙁

Start working at home with Google! It’s by-far the best job Ive had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this – 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringin home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, http://www.g00.me/Work
June 13, 2013 at 6:08 pm
Oh boy! Do I get the spam and viruses for free? Or is that the downside to it?
October 19, 2013 at 1:32 am
I’d be more interested in where you got a brand new BMW for just $6474
May 6, 2013 at 7:48 am
Always love those top 10’s or whatever about movie clichés. Thx Mike!
May 6, 2013 at 3:46 pm
James is the one that made the video.
May 6, 2013 at 7:52 am
Er James… Drug Deal scene from Scarface (1983). The guy uses a CHAINSAW to smash a luvre window and do a forward somersault down one storey AND land on his back in ONE shot!
May 6, 2013 at 8:42 am
How could you leave out this scene from Machete!
Great video though, loving the jokes!
May 6, 2013 at 8:48 am
I knew the Toxic Avanger was going to be in the list, after seeing what the last AVGN episode was about! Actually I wouldn’t be surprised if that very scene inspired James to make this list.
btw, what about Trinity’s window jump in The Matrix, near the beginning?
May 6, 2013 at 8:50 am
Wait, the one in Reloaded was even better.
May 7, 2013 at 6:29 am
I was just going to say the same EXACT thing! Either window jump would have worked, but the one in Reloaded is better because it kind of is important to the climax of the movie.
May 9, 2013 at 7:02 pm
Before I never understood the mass appeal for Reloaded. Maybe it’s because I’ve never given it a real chance, but one day I turned on my TV and scrolled through the channels, then got bored. And the car chase scene from Reloaded was going on. And I got kind of a bad picture of the film from that, I think. To me, at least back then, and I know it’s moronic, it seemed like it went on for like 30 minutes or something. But if I had just finished that scene man! That CG explosion is the only good CG explosion I’ve ever seen 🙂
May 6, 2013 at 9:16 am
I thought the one that was the funniest was the one from Scott Pilgrim. I did not see that coming.
May 6, 2013 at 9:49 am
didn’t expect scott pilgrim, but I like it 🙂
May 6, 2013 at 10:27 am
Jim Carrey in ‘The Mask’ would’ve be my number 1, but nevertheless this is a cool list.
May 6, 2013 at 11:18 am
I don’t know if James owns any Jim Carrey movies on DVD. I’ll have to watch his DVD collection video again to take a closer inspection.
May 6, 2013 at 10:32 am
Love me some Fright Night.
Funny thing, you can actually see the stunt guy’s face wearing the lion suit as he’s about to jump. Isn’t HD great?
May 6, 2013 at 11:29 am
I like the Wizard of Oz one because he almost didn’t make it all the way through. Imagine if someone tried to jump out of a window and didn’t quite jump far enough and just landed on the sill. Ouch!
May 6, 2013 at 11:53 am
Great video James, but I think you forgot The Matrix. We had two great jump through window scenes. The first is when Trinity is running from agent Smith in the beggining of the movie. The second one is when Neo and Trinity save Morpheus from the agents (but I don’t think it counts cause Morpheus doesn’t break the window).
May 6, 2013 at 12:39 pm
I know there is some very light post production but it is defiantly a great window jump (at 1:11 | the cameraman jumped right after the stuntman)
May 6, 2013 at 1:35 pm
In Blade Runner, sha was shot through a window…kind of.
May 6, 2013 at 2:41 pm
That was awesome. One that I would have included would have been Roger from the original Night Of The Demons: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFjaFoSBut0 Great character that actually manages to make it out of the movie alive!
May 6, 2013 at 3:13 pm
Machete should have been number one.
May 6, 2013 at 4:16 pm
Uhhh… it’s fantastic that you referenced Blade Runner, but it doesn’t match the criteria of this video! She was actually shot by Deckard moments before.
May 6, 2013 at 4:35 pm
Where’s Charles Durning’s jump from The Hudsucker Proxy?
May 6, 2013 at 4:58 pm
I agree these video’s are relaxing.James’s voice is perfect for these type of videos. keep em’ coming.Love your stuff man.
May 6, 2013 at 5:30 pm
Great upload =) keep em up
May 6, 2013 at 5:34 pm
why not Friday the 13th part 2?
May 6, 2013 at 5:38 pm
Before watching guess for #1: Gremlins grandma.
May 6, 2013 at 6:50 pm
How could you leave out Roger Rabbit? Not only is it gut-bustingly hilarious, he leave a perfect rabbit shape in both the blinds and the glass.
May 6, 2013 at 6:59 pm
I don’t even remember that scene from Wizard of Oz!
The Scott Pilgrim one should be higher
May 6, 2013 at 7:55 pm
I remember when I was a kid and first saw the cowardly lion jump through that window, I laughed my ass off and re-watched it over and over again. Glad to see it on the list!
May 6, 2013 at 8:14 pm
Lars Ulrich looks like the biggest pussy running through that hallway.
May 6, 2013 at 8:58 pm
I’m quite shocked at the lack of Long Kiss Goodnight, that window jump had everything, flames shooting out straight after, long drop, followed by going through the ice, not to mention Samuel L Motherfucking Jackson!
May 9, 2013 at 4:41 am
I agree, it’s better than most of the ones that made the list (if not all) and I kept expecting it to appear. I’ve actually signed in to the comment section for the first time in a year because I’m that shocked it hasn’t been included.
I want AVGN to review Bubsy Games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May 6, 2013 at 9:02 pm
James dropped the ball on this one. The best window jumping scene BY FAR is in Jackie Chan’s Police Story 2, when Jackie jumps from a moving bus through a real window (and cuts himself up like a boss).
May 7, 2013 at 12:08 am
He already did a list of his top favorite Jackie Chan stunts and while I can’t remember whether that particular one was on it or not, he still obviously payed respect to Jackie Chan’s work.
May 8, 2013 at 1:19 am
So what? That has nothing to do with whether or not that awesome scene belongs on THIS list, dummy.
May 6, 2013 at 10:36 pm
Not my favourite movie by any stretch of the imagination, but I was rather hoping that Hudsucker’s running through the long table and out the window suicide in THE HUDSUCKER PROXY would make the list.
May 6, 2013 at 11:01 pm
James, you mentioned Top Secret in you’re countdown. One of my favorite movie scenes of all time is the library sequence in Top Secret. It is just so amazing! Every time I watch it, I am just in awe. I’d love to hear your take on it.
May 6, 2013 at 11:26 pm
Wizard of OZ part was the first and funniest part i laughed in a movie.
Great video, but my #1 would’ve been from “The Street Fighter” starring Sonny Chiba where a random bad guy does a flying kick through the window and falls to his death. That was funny!
May 7, 2013 at 12:06 am
o…m…g… soooo many window puns XD
May 7, 2013 at 12:30 am
How about giant, fire-starting bugs crashing through a window? For that, there’s 1975’s Bug!
May 7, 2013 at 12:47 am
Great video! I bet editing it was a real pane.
May 7, 2013 at 1:44 am
May 7, 2013 at 1:51 am
No time cop? that was one of the most memorable of all! plus the fact that the guy was originally saved, but then they put him back into free fall so he could hit the car. also fuck transformers 3, the matrix 2 had an AWESOME window jump w trinity
May 7, 2013 at 1:53 am
Great call on the toxic avenger. there was something just extra memorable about that. im surprised the class of nukem’ high didn’t make the list too with the death of dewey. for some reason troma’s slow motion always looked REALLY cool
May 7, 2013 at 1:56 am
Great video James 😀 Though instead of that scene in Dark of the Moon, why didn’t you use the scene from the first film in which Optimus and Megatron fall/flies through a window, through a freaking office building, probably killing a lot, and then falls out through another window and wall…? It even uses minatures in some places. Bay have said, himself, that he likes to shoot things “dirty.” That’s at least one thing I’m happy about his works.
May 7, 2013 at 2:00 am
Great list. I would love to see a list of window crashes where characters are being thrown through them! (Raph being thrown threw April’s skylight in TMNT has gotta be number 1). As for this list, the ones that spring to my mind are definitely from the Matrix.
May 7, 2013 at 2:03 am
Here is a crazy video of a deer jumping through somebody’s apartment window, then running out and then jumping through another apartment window.
May 7, 2013 at 2:04 am
What about Child’s Play?
May 7, 2013 at 2:39 am
Ahhh, from the own will…mmm, too bad. The windows fall down in the italian movie “L’Uomo Puma” (or The Pumaman) are really awesome. I mean they are done so bad that nothing would ever top that, really great. The whole film is a “so bad it’s so good”. You don’t belive me? There is Donald Pleasence in it. I cracked up almost every minute watching that. Kids, never stop a movie after 10 minutes of sucking, they will show you hidden gems covered in shit.
May 7, 2013 at 2:40 am
ah awesome always love your TOP # videos, imo still think the Terminator and T2 are the 2 best for someone smashing threw a window, but like you said with hans gruber falling out the window but not not technically jumping. maybe the next Top 20 could be people getting shot or thrown out of a window 🙂
May 7, 2013 at 2:45 am
Don’t forget A Clockwork Orange, when Alex is forced to jump out of the window from pain and disgust caused by Beethoven music. haha
May 7, 2013 at 3:01 am
Wow, how could you forget The Hudsucker Proxy? Forget just going through a window. This is one of the most beautifully presented falls in a motion picture! http://youtu.be/_6dtasEqpLM
May 7, 2013 at 8:04 am
Damn I knew I should have read the comments before I go all Smartass… Always the internet: Someone thought of it before..
May 7, 2013 at 3:12 am
was expecting Jackie Chan’s jump through the sheet of REAL glass in Police Story 2
May 7, 2013 at 3:18 am
and man, the Lion almost didnt make it through that window
May 7, 2013 at 3:37 am
Dude, totally forgot the bourd room scene from Hudsucker Proxy
May 7, 2013 at 4:12 am
Those are some excellent self-defenestrations, but I’d give a runner up award to the one from Street Trash. He didn’t JUMP out so much as walk through, but he did it so casually, while wearing a paper bag over his head and with stolen chicken down his pants, and it just comes out of nowhere.
May 7, 2013 at 4:37 am
I cant believe you didn’t put any jackie chan window shattering! i dunno, but i bet he must have at least one!
May 7, 2013 at 8:03 am
…The Hudsucker Proxy??? Not the best.. but better than.. Color of night..?
May 7, 2013 at 9:03 am
Actually, the best window jump I’ve ever seen is from a Twilight Zone episode called Cavender Is Coming”, when the bus driver jumps trough the bus window. It was so funny I rewind it like 10 times.
May 7, 2013 at 9:07 am
those puns were pane-full
May 7, 2013 at 11:29 am
What about this window jump in Wanted at 0:30?
May 7, 2013 at 11:46 am
You forgot the best one!
May 7, 2013 at 12:20 pm
No Hudsucker Proxy?!
May 7, 2013 at 1:07 pm
That was considered, but left it out.
May 7, 2013 at 1:18 pm
My favorite crashing-through-window is from Resident Evil 4
May 7, 2013 at 1:47 pm
Oh, yeah, and Carrie Ann Moss blazes through a window too (3:30):
And there’s the scene in Jackie Chan’s Police Story where he jumps through a window from a bus but misses the sugar glass and breaks through a real one. But I can’t find the scene anywhere so I can’t link it.
May 7, 2013 at 2:24 pm
Does The Jump Knight rider did into a building window count? =D
May 7, 2013 at 3:12 pm
You should do the top 5 Twilight Zone window jumps. There are many of them in that show for some reason.
May 7, 2013 at 3:40 pm
Great list. I was hoping for a Jaws III shark bustout scene.
May 7, 2013 at 3:44 pm
Great list. Although not a jump, I was hoping for a Jaws III shark tank bust out
May 7, 2013 at 4:09 pm
No Jackie Chan?
May 7, 2013 at 5:45 pm
toxie crussader better be in it
May 7, 2013 at 6:22 pm
Make one more fucking glass pun…
May 7, 2013 at 7:51 pm
Hey, James I just watched a horror movie called “Pieces”, I don’t know if you have seen this or not but it is absolutely hilarious. If you have you know what I mean, if not this is just a suggestion, but I would LOVE to see a James Rolfe review of this thing. Otherwise keep up the great work love the videos and looking forward to the movie.
May 7, 2013 at 9:27 pm
Your missing the greatest window jump in the history of mankinds invention of the window. 2010 the movie “Machete”!
Danny Trejo disembowels a guy, grabs his intestine and leaps the a window using the intestine like a rappelling rope to crash through the window on the floor below.
May 7, 2013 at 9:45 pm
As Funny as the Wizard of Oz Jump is the one from Top Secret was far more Hilarious.
May 7, 2013 at 10:57 pm
My favorite window jump would have to be from The Matrix, when Trinity is running from the agents and jumps off the roof, does a barrel roll, crashes through the window, and tumbles down the stairs with guns out. Also, from the Dark Knight when Batman is driving his motor cycle, shoots the window, and then crashes into it to get into the building.
May 7, 2013 at 11:27 pm
Where was the dog from Friday The 13th, Part IV:The Final Chapter?
May 8, 2013 at 12:54 am
Nice video James! But in the future, can you use transition sounds that aren’t so shrill? It was hard to listen to the shattering countdown sound.
May 8, 2013 at 1:22 am
Since before hitting play I was thinking “Cowardly Lion has to be top 5 at least” but what about Abe Vigoda jumping out the window in GOOD BURGER?
May 8, 2013 at 8:54 am
I’m very surprised the window jump from The Bourne Ultimatum was not number one, I was shocked to see it wasn’t even on the list. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USHz6TQyXwg
May 8, 2013 at 10:17 am
One of my favorite window jumping scenes is from Sorority Boys where this guy gets thrown from one window only to burst back in through another window in the same room. Can be seen in this video about 3 mins 20 seconds in. Pretty funny stuff…
May 8, 2013 at 10:57 am
Is great to finally see a new “Top” list, these were the things that made me aware of James and Cinemassacre in the first place, back on the old Spike TV website. Hard to believe that this iconic cliché hasn’t been given its due before!
May 8, 2013 at 11:59 am
James I’ve been a fan of your videos for years now. I’ve usually can agree with your “top 20” videos. However this time I cannot. You didn’t include one of the greatest people jump through fuc#king windows scences. Goldeneye- James Bond uses his belt to swing across the library while getting shot with the theme playing into a giant window. C’mon James
May 8, 2013 at 12:26 pm
You forget The Mask https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vW_tU3ImqPw
May 8, 2013 at 6:39 pm
dud your fuckign funny keep it up
May 8, 2013 at 7:55 pm
i always loved the scene in Crocodile Dundee II, when Mick jumps off the building with only a rope and crashes through a window further down the building, then just casually walks away lol
May 8, 2013 at 8:12 pm
Clockwork Orange deserved at the least an honorable mention. Good vid though! Keep it up Nerd!
May 8, 2013 at 8:31 pm
I want to do a window crash when I’m in my alter ego outfit in real life. A live-action G.I. Joe film should have a window crash with the Rambo II trailer music to fit the action.
May 8, 2013 at 8:52 pm
May 8, 2013 at 10:05 pm
My own added mention, would be Chuck Norris willingly jumping through two windows and killing guys while doing it.
May 9, 2013 at 12:29 am
James, I was really wanting to like this video, but how could you leave off the greatest window jump scene ? Street Fighter with Sonny Chiba. In your commentary for the movie, you and Mike really loved the scene. I can’t imagine that that Street Fighter scene wasn’t the inspiration for this video. Oh, well.
May 9, 2013 at 2:06 am
I had planned to watch this all in one sitting. But about half way through I had to take a break.
May 9, 2013 at 2:14 am
I almost jumped out the window after all those puns!
Sweet idea for a top 20, window jumping scenes (especially those ones) are always entertaining. I laughed my ass off at the commentary too, especially the title!
I don’t suppose you’ll come back to this, but I was hoping to see some defenestration if you do!
May 9, 2013 at 3:20 am
i agree with all except the last 2 i would put exorcist as 1 and lion as #2
May 9, 2013 at 3:54 am
Defenestration at it’s best. Bless you James LOL
Where the hell is Long Kiss Goodnight?
May 9, 2013 at 5:29 am
I like these videos but can you please stop blowing old movies. Your not the nostalgia critic. Really you went with The Wizard of OZ. I love you James but old movies are good and more gritty but not always the best.
May 9, 2013 at 11:13 am
what about the hudsucker proxy? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6dtasEqpLM this movie has one of the best window jumps of all time!
May 9, 2013 at 8:44 pm
No Ghost Story? Craig Wasson getting scared shitless, naked, through a window in a penthouse doesn’t even rank?
May 10, 2013 at 4:02 am
great vid! you forget Clarence Boddicker!!! 🙂
May 10, 2013 at 7:46 am
there is an awesome window jump in wanted, with james mcavoy, you schould check it out! i was stunned when i saw it!
May 10, 2013 at 10:39 am
wow! is that minute long add ever annoying!! Never buy normaderm!!
May 10, 2013 at 11:59 am
Great list, but I feel like you left out one of the best. Trinity’s escape in the opening scenes of the Matrix.
May 10, 2013 at 1:15 pm
These are super fun…how can you not include the jump from the Matrix – that freakin’ rocked!! She jumped from a rooftop into another building!
May 10, 2013 at 1:20 pm
The more I think about it, you could probably have a top 20 list of “jumps through windows, walls, floors” from the matrix trilogy by itself!
May 10, 2013 at 9:00 pm
The second best window jump ever (I can agree with the Wizard of Oz) happens in Hard Boiled:
Someone jumps through a door to serve as a distraction for the guy who’s jumping through a window, all so they can shoot another guy through a different window. It’s a trifecta of defenestration.
May 10, 2013 at 9:02 pm
And, I should add, the guy they’re trying to shoot through a window? He evades them by jumping through yet another window. John Woo is the man.
