Mike Matei / April 27th, 2013
FUN FACT: The intro was created using Mario Paint!
April 27, 2013 at 3:45 am
Curse of SNIX, it must be always posted two times 😀
April 27, 2013 at 12:38 pm

April 27, 2013 at 3:51 am
Alright, here comes part 3!
April 27, 2013 at 4:27 am
I enjoyed the chase sequences, but…is that the red ranger attacking snix at 18:27???
April 27, 2013 at 5:00 am
Yes, here we go again! Thx James!!
April 27, 2013 at 5:17 am
Random ninja was the best part of this one 🙂
May 3, 2013 at 9:36 am
I agree, LOL! Homeboy just appeared with ruthless aggression and no mercy out of nowhere without any explanation nor cause. One things for certain, you don’t fuck with the random ninja.
April 27, 2013 at 6:11 am
This wasn’t that bad, to be honest.
April 27, 2013 at 6:35 am
The first two were pretty awful, but this was genuinely brilliant!
April 27, 2013 at 6:46 am
Still keeps better continuity with it’s predecessors than The Evil Dead movies.
April 27, 2013 at 7:45 am
His temple in…New Jersey? LOL
April 27, 2013 at 7:53 am
Ha ha, James used dubstep way before it was cool. This is pretty cool, the movies are getting progressively better and you can see your style emerging. I actually laughed a couple times in this one. That other actor is terrible, though, even in a “I just needed a body to put in front of the camera” kind of way.
April 27, 2013 at 8:06 am
I’m curious as to what the music heard in the climactic chase is. Possibly it’s from a video game!
April 27, 2013 at 8:10 am
I’m pretty sure it’s from Donkey Kong Country.
What was the video game music when he was trying to light the mask on fire? That was driving me nuts because I couldn’t place it. I was thinking maybe Chakan, but I don’t think that’s it.
April 27, 2013 at 3:32 pm
Killer Instinct 2. The Maya theme. Loved both the KI soundtracks
April 27, 2013 at 8:50 am
It really did get a lot better
April 27, 2013 at 9:55 am
That’s some pretty impressive Mario Paint animation actually.
April 27, 2013 at 10:00 am
Leather face and the chainsaw have nothing on Snix and the plunger. LMAO!
April 27, 2013 at 10:01 am
Ooooh, you used music from Doom! Awesome!
April 27, 2013 at 10:10 am
A lot better then the second film. I really enjoyed the chase scene.
April 27, 2013 at 10:28 am
First two were too random for me, but this one is quite entertaining 🙂
April 27, 2013 at 10:35 am
ehe! I can already see the progression 🙂 great work, teenage James…
April 27, 2013 at 11:27 am
Is that other kid Jonathan Taylor Thomas from Home Improvement?
April 27, 2013 at 11:43 am
You were right James, these are getting better and better. I absolutely love them. I also really enjoyed the addition of some Doom music to a few of the scenes. XD I can’t wait to see the three remaining Snix Flix. 🙂
April 27, 2013 at 11:49 am
I cracked up at the part where the little kid with the toy swords ran into the shot and started hitting you. Was that planned?
April 27, 2013 at 12:33 pm
I have been unable to watch any videos on this site since you posted this first snix, its just says loading forever. I never had an issue with springboard, is something different now? James, is there anything i can do to resolve this issue, perhaps diff browser/player/updates? please help!
April 27, 2013 at 12:47 pm
Upgrade your Flash.
Or try a different browser.
Works fine in Firefox.
April 27, 2013 at 12:45 pm
I was shocked at how well made this was…I was expecting for it to be on the same level as the first two, but you can definitely see your growth as a filmmaker here. Parts of this are genuinely excellent and really well framed as shot, especially considering you we’re only around 16 at the time, and pre-The Internet being a great resource for young filmmakers. Nice work, James.
April 27, 2013 at 1:14 pm
I used to have a King Ghidorah figurine very similar to the one on James’ shelf. He was definitely my favorite Godzilla monster, probably still is. hehe Anyway! I’m really enjoying these Snix movies. It’s great to watch someone we’ve come to expect high quality stuff from getting progressively better with each project he worked on growing up. Everyone has to start somewhere and it’s nice to see where James began his long journey into film-making. I don’t claim to know much about making movies, but I DO know it is not an easy process, especially at a young age when you lack many necessary resources to produce something that is up to your own expectations.
April 27, 2013 at 1:30 pm
This was better than your last one which I like a lot more than the original. Clearly you did a great job making this movie. Unlike the last one this time I can’t criticize it. You truly made a horror classic. I like you used some songs especially one from Doom. The story was better put together overall. I simply love the animation of this movie’s intro. I was very impressed how awesome it looks. I do feel you didn’t do a good job with the mask. I felt it’s not change right which does happen. If you gave it an evil smile it would be good. At least that’s what I think anyway. I can’t wait to see the last three.
I’d really like to know the music credits for this one. Oh yeah, and I liked the running inside-joke about Charlie Horse, Lamb Chop, and then Hush Puppy, lol.
April 27, 2013 at 1:57 pm
Love that you used doom music!
April 27, 2013 at 2:18 pm
I haven’t laughed this hard at your videos since I first saw the Karate Kid AVGN review (my first AVGN episode). I loved the Mario Paint intro, the Doom music playing when you were gonna burn Snix’s mask, the hilarious sock fight you had with yourself, and the chase near the end. The production values have obviously gotten much better while still keeping the feel of the original 2. Can’t wait to see the last 3!
April 27, 2013 at 2:26 pm
Awesome movie James!
April 27, 2013 at 2:34 pm
Anybody have the soundtrack to this movie? All I recognize is the music from Doom.
April 27, 2013 at 2:43 pm
The music is from doom?
April 27, 2013 at 7:43 pm
One of the songs came from Doom.
April 27, 2013 at 7:47 pm
Like the progression of the films, funny shit man 🙂
April 27, 2013 at 8:01 pm
snix directed by the legendary James Rolfe…starring Waluigi and Jonathan Taylor Thomas…. ;]
April 27, 2013 at 8:30 pm
http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lz5awaGzAz1qf6jy9o1_400.gif when 16:22 starts watch that pic.
April 27, 2013 at 10:44 pm
As soon as I heard the Killer Instinct music theme for Maya, I got a huge grin on my face that hasn’t left yet. XD This just reminds me SO much of being a kid back in the 90’s, it feels impossible how much time has gone by. Thanks for the memories!
April 27, 2013 at 11:29 pm
Haha, this one was great. Intro dragged a bit, but it really picked up. Can’t wait for the final three.
April 28, 2013 at 12:13 am
Awesome, I love it James. It’s really cool to see you cinemassacre past. Keep posting and keep filming. You rock!
April 28, 2013 at 1:53 am
you have really come a long way through the three Snix flix so far, but what the hell was with that animation in the begining? I didn’t know that you could animate with the Atari 2600… did you not know motherfucker mike back then?
April 28, 2013 at 2:42 am
Hey, James. I see where you’re coming from when you say that they’re not great films. However, they’re not bad for kids films. And you do see a progression from one film to the next. The good thing about them is that they allowed you to hone your skills as a filmmaker, and there’s nothing wrong with that! We all learn from experience!
April 28, 2013 at 3:31 am
Great chasing scene!
April 28, 2013 at 7:36 am
Wow! I guess James heard me! He finally put Hush Puppy at the end and it is the exact same puppet I still have! Thanks man. The third Snix film is my favorite so far. May the last three be so good.
April 28, 2013 at 7:48 am
These Snix flicks are getting better. Tell me, what is the music at the chase scene? And what is the spooky music at the beginning and at the end? Are you planning to make a new Snix movie after the AVGN movie is done?
April 28, 2013 at 12:15 pm
I’m not sure what the spooky music is, but I’m pretty sure the chase scene music is from the N64 game Killer Instinct Gold, it’s a remixed version of the jungle theme for the amazon character Maya’s stage.
April 28, 2013 at 11:30 am
did anyone else see the mecha-king ghidorah in the background at about 20 seconds?
April 28, 2013 at 12:41 pm
You know whats bullshit? When movie makers dont number the fucking sequels and instead used cliche words like “the return” and “again.” Thats bullshit.
April 28, 2013 at 6:28 pm
Well, he was still young back then. Still a teenager I think. About 17-18. But I agree. There should be a parantheses with the numbering, that would be a good idea.
April 28, 2013 at 1:26 pm
This was really nice, actually. I can really tell you have a project, now i can’t wait for the remaining ones.
Like the previous films, i love when you leave in something unintended, it works really good to the whole.
April 28, 2013 at 3:11 pm
so much better than the first 2 great job!!!!!!!!!!
April 28, 2013 at 4:05 pm
I like the CeCe Peniston song “Finally” playing in the backgroung; come from your neighbor house your or yours!!!lmao()-;
April 28, 2013 at 4:14 pm
not half bad i liked this one
April 28, 2013 at 4:48 pm
James, I’m curious: What are those illustrations that you for Zinzz?
May 1, 2013 at 6:16 pm
I think it’s spelled Xins.
April 28, 2013 at 5:03 pm
You must do Snix Remasked!
April 28, 2013 at 6:27 pm
That would be fucking awesome! One of his movies after AVGN and the two horror films he’s gonna make, should be that, SNIX: REMASKED.
April 28, 2013 at 10:29 pm
Was the sped up scene inspired by “A Clockwork Orange”?
April 28, 2013 at 10:36 pm
BTW, love the use of the Doom music in the scene where you are looking at the mask!
April 28, 2013 at 11:48 pm
digging the doom music
April 29, 2013 at 12:11 am
the snix mask reminds me of the mask in crash bandicoot.
April 29, 2013 at 6:07 am
This was a very good movie! Liked the kid who beats up SNIX, and both chase scenes were very good, also I believe that the trip was needed.(I think you said that is was an accident in the first SNIX when the young you was talking.)
April 29, 2013 at 8:39 am
It’s awesome watching you perfect your craft. The intro was actually kind of brilliant, and the chase was quite entertaining at that! I can’t wait to see the further evolution of SNIX! Thanks for sharing James!
April 29, 2013 at 11:50 am
HA! In the Intro he sounds just like Chris Hansen from “To Catch a Predator”
April 29, 2013 at 3:15 pm
You really improved your way of talking in the intro. In the previous ones, you said “Erm” a LOT. This time, you didn’t at all. So I guess this was probably the result of self critical observation.
Funny – in your today’s videos, I started to notice that you still say “Erm” sometimes. I didn’t notice that before, but now, having seen your older videos, I kinda like it when it still slips out today. Probably because I know the background better, which has become a little story for me. And that’s familiarity, which everyone likes.
April 29, 2013 at 6:48 pm
Hmm let’s see what do I remember about 1997.
Diddy Kong Racing for N64 and Resident Evil 2 for the Sony Playstation. 🙂
April 30, 2013 at 9:10 pm
This was genuinely enjoyable! I really loved that opening sequence! It’s hilarious to see how far you’ve come already in just a few years. Excited for the next 3!!!
May 1, 2013 at 6:15 pm
Is it weird that a new AVGN video just came out, but I’m anticipating the next SNIX movie more?
May 3, 2013 at 9:14 am
I’d rather watch SNIX than Paranormal Activity any day of the week hands down, LOL! Can we say SNIX Part 666 soon to be released in 2014? Cast Mike, too! Now that would be epic.
May 3, 2013 at 9:19 am
LMAO! Before the 15:15 minute mark, I wasn’t expecting the humor part, LOL! That was hilarious. I loved it.
May 3, 2013 at 9:25 am
OMG! And it keeps getting even more funny. Especially when SNIX is chasing little dude through the woods, LOL! All I heard was monkeys and techno music. This is for sure, the best SNIX film yet. #SNIXWillLiveForever
May 3, 2013 at 9:30 am
Oh my god! They “Flushed” SNIX! You bastards!
May 3, 2013 at 8:42 pm
Nice SNES Doom music.
May 6, 2013 at 4:25 pm
I believe after AVGN the movie the Rolfes need to take a vacation and when they get back its time for a brand new SNIX!! Or even Son of Snix with the new baby, lol.
May 14, 2013 at 6:17 pm
SNES Doom music heh? Great choices James. 😉
February 3, 2014 at 11:48 am
I’m waiting for Snix on DVD 🙂
February 21, 2015 at 11:06 pm
wow that mario paint intro was so awesome…great job 1997 james
February 21, 2015 at 11:17 pm
is that mick foley as the zombie? lol
April 18, 2015 at 2:36 pm
Intro is one of the best moments of the snix series.
July 24, 2015 at 4:15 pm
You guys should make more of this series for example Snix’s nightmare
September 17, 2016 at 4:54 pm
Man, Nintendo really should have exploited the whole intro making feature with mario paint. They would have made millions!!!
May 23, 2017 at 7:51 pm
Binge watching these is like watching a public access tv show
September 21, 2017 at 1:12 am
