… Yeah, that’s why I use foobar2000 instead of iTunes, which is only used when uploading music to my iPhone.
July 13, 2014 at 11:04 am
I kept using the new iTunes and it took few minutes to get used to it, this video is what’s bull shit.
June 19, 2012 at 4:02 pm
Anything that’s not iTunes is what really sucks! You do to as well.
January 29, 2015 at 9:25 am
Itunes don’t suck and it’s not bullshit it’s alsmoeshit. In fact I lave it running 24/7 on my windows 7 PC. Over 90% of what was listed is what the RIAA foured Apple to add so their not gully of all this.
June 19, 2012 at 4:08 pm
Abandon itunes and switch to Amazon MP3
July 13, 2014 at 11:05 am
Abandon gullible fool like this one james and if you still have hopes for iTunes, continue to use it, don’t be fooled by anything that’s not iTunes, not even people forcing you off it.
June 19, 2012 at 4:13 pm
iTunes is still great, but it is rather annoying with the constant updating.
It doesn’t take long for me but no matter how long you wait I won’t let updating stop it.
I agree James. I fucking hate iTunes. It is even worse on PC. if you want to install itunes on your computer it installs 50 other apple software programs with the install. it requires you to install quicktime and all this memory hogging bullshit. and the way they organize the songs in the progam is stupid. fuck itunes… use amazon mp3 to dowload music and use your windows or mac os file system with vlc media player to play songs on your computer. just double click on a song in one of your folders. and it plays in milliseconds. fuck iTunes!
July 13, 2014 at 11:07 am
Because anything that isn’t apple can’t work on anything that’s not on apple electronics, that’s the problem. Screw people who are against iTunes, they’ll suffer without it because it has offered more than ever. Your comment rant is bull shit. Besides, if you had a Mac that would be much problem with QuickTime duh. Fuck you!
June 19, 2012 at 4:14 pm
You know, I just realized that I stopped opening iTunes a long time a go, and basically it’s because of everything you just said in this video… I rather go to Spotify or pandora.com its easier to listen music that all the bullshit iTunes goes trough.
July 13, 2014 at 11:09 am
It’s easier to use iTunes if you gave a damn than wannabe crap rotify or spamdora, besides just organize the damn songs and use it more so it can be that simpler to ya! I never listened to gullible fucks like you, lucky me.
June 19, 2012 at 4:25 pm
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been just fine with good old classic Windows Media Player. It doesn’t force you to change the format of the song, it allows you to change ID of the song, and it’s easy to port. Itunes is Apple’s way of forcing you to use Apple. Steve Jobs is laughing from his grave.
July 13, 2014 at 11:13 am
I don’t know about your gullible shit but I never gave up on iTunes that easy. Your grandshits must be laughing their ass off from your stupidity. Wmp attempted but failed. All that editing and making the file read? Now that’s bullshit. iTunes is simpler than that, easy to port plugged into computer or download purchased songs by itself. You are the way of forcing whiny shits to hell support windows shit.
June 19, 2012 at 4:27 pm
I hate the stupid authorization bullshit. Every time I reformat my computer I forget to deauthorize my old version of Windows. Now when I get my new MacBook Pro I’ll have another computer to authorize. It’s fucking bullshit. Why do they have to make it so you can’t share playlists between computers? Why do I have to lose all my music on my iPod or iPhone because it’s not backed up on that computer?
July 13, 2014 at 11:14 am
You do know you can deauthorize all at one and apple devices have their own iTunes app which doesn’t have that authorization stuff. There’s bullshit there.
June 19, 2012 at 4:37 pm
And this is part of the reason why I personally boycott ALL Apple products and software.
July 13, 2014 at 11:15 am
And this is the reason why assholes ruined the human race thereby eliminate this disgrace to you and everyone against iTunes. Piece of mind raping foolish shit.
June 19, 2012 at 4:39 pm
Fortunately, I have iTunes on my iPad, so I don’t have to deal with the BS you mentioned. I have ways of listening to my music on the go, but I don’t share secrets with others.
July 13, 2014 at 11:16 am
Fortunately your problem is solved already than you think. You have shit to deal with but it’s not bull shit.
June 19, 2012 at 4:40 pm
This video didn’t fully do it for me. Don’t get me wrong, I hate iTunes (and still use it).
I feel James focused too much on that CD burning button… there’s plenty of other annoying things to shit on.
The “random” algorithm still sucks and you’ll hear multiple songs in a row sometimes.
Ping is a disgusting attempt at a social network and I wish James would have hated on it more.
It’s poorly bug-tested, and updates introduce new bugs. First it was renaming the genres of my songs to numbers, now my album art doesn’t show up right away when I change it. etc.
And it’s not iTunes… it’s a bloated iTunes + Movie player + Massive Store for more than just music. Bloat bloat bloat.
July 13, 2014 at 11:18 am
None of this video ties with what we use today. Nothing is bad with iTunes. Some things are set to it, besides that’s why I have iTunes 11.3. In fact none of the updates have failed me once. It’s not just updates, it’s simple updates + same interface= clean useable iTunes.
June 19, 2012 at 4:41 pm
There are 2 reasons why I have iTunes on my computer. 1. Put music on iPhone from my pc and to supply the drivers to charge my iPhone via USB. For everything else..Theres VLC
June 19, 2012 at 4:42 pm
YEP Itunes is shit
But most apple software is so, WATCHA GUN DO
July 13, 2014 at 11:19 am
You’re shit, then again your rants are shit, so what’s your excuse for your existance?
July 12, 2015 at 1:52 am
no, not true, apple has some amazing apps and not many stinkers alright buddy
June 19, 2012 at 4:44 pm
itunes was forged by Lucifer himself.
July 13, 2014 at 11:21 am
You were forged by lucythe himself.
spotify will hopefully fix all this in the relatively near future.
July 13, 2014 at 11:20 am
Hopefully bs man can fix this world with rotten assholes starting with you. He mistake need iTunes fooling you to believe it.
June 19, 2012 at 5:03 pm
Hold on while I call the WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMBULANCE!!!!
June 19, 2012 at 5:14 pm
June 19, 2012 at 5:16 pm
One of the reasons I put my CDs on my PC and buy MP3s through other sites and use music streaming sites or internet radio. I try not to bother with iTunes, everytime I do for someone that has an apple product but no clue of iTunes it gives me a headache. Especially because it is different every time.
June 5, 2014 at 7:55 pm
The only thing different if more stuff added to it on left and above, the more you care, the less you’re bummed by it, but it can do the job of moving songs to cd, just download and do the rest.
June 19, 2012 at 5:22 pm
Once I wanted good old Qicktime movie player to play my *.mov files. So I got it.. no big deal that was back in 2004.
Fast forward 8 years. If you have any old *.mov files, and you want to use quicktime… you are told you have to have itunes and a number of other PC ported apple products in order to install quicktime.
Sorry but I merely found a video file converter program to change my *.mov files into *.avi files and that’s a far friendlier format for multiple video players.
I do not use any apple software unless absolutely forced to.. my PC has none installed on it and I will keep it like that. Downloading any of it is a full assault of bloatware that you can’t get rid of easily. Trying to uninstall it is very difficult without a cleaner program because it keeps registry entries and ever so often you get a task bar icon showing you a non-existent apple program showing its ugly head….
June 19, 2012 at 5:23 pm
I love love LOVE how James is finally making more of “You know what’s Bullsh!t” videos, I just found them more funny with the scenes of pictures rather then him talking in front of a camera with a mask. I understand that he does shoes pictures, I just dont like James talking in front of the camera. Hopefully he will read this and take this into thought! 🙂
June 19, 2012 at 5:29 pm
Also forgot bsplayer > any video player.
June 19, 2012 at 5:36 pm
The same thing with those shitty new video game consoles. You have too wait way to long for finally pressing the start button. Back in the NES you popped one catridge in and the start screen immediately showed up.
Now that’s what I call BULLSHIT!!!
June 19, 2012 at 5:40 pm
And this is why iTunes has been uninstalled and replaced.
Why didn’t most people just think about it for a minute or two before going for iTunes? There are other platforms without all that DRM bs, at least now. I don’t get how you are complaining, when you started off with a platform that never granted you access to all your music in a regular way.
And there is less complicated and comfortable software for managing and playing music, as well. I know, it’s not to be taken too seriously, just a fun vid and all, but still…
June 19, 2012 at 5:50 pm
Itunes was always a bullshit bloat monster. First time I installed it had all this extra crap I didn’t need like quick time etc. I just use winamp, very simple and easy to use.
June 5, 2014 at 7:54 pm
This video was always bull shit, I mean what a gloat it has always been. When I updated I didn’t care if I had extra helpful shit around but it always gets the job done even if I needed QuickTime it’s helpful with flash. Still organized since the first one, not disappointed since.
June 19, 2012 at 5:51 pm
itunes is bullshit…still use winamp when im on my computer. still listen to records when im not. nice job james…
by the way does anyone else find the bullshit mask utterly frightening? anyway great job
CANT WAIT FOR THIS FUCKING NEW MOVIE ITS GONNA ROCK MY BALLS OFF! 😀
June 5, 2014 at 7:52 pm
This video is bull shit, I checked all his problem and they’re easy to fix because this video is more of a rant. If the bs mask freaks you out, let’s conclude that.
June 19, 2012 at 5:57 pm
I agree I haven’t used anything but Winamp. I just use iTunes to download certain CDs I can’t get anywhere else!
June 5, 2014 at 7:50 pm
I’m still with iTunes, what else came close to it besides music?
Ah, the wonders of DRM.
As for the “that would never happen with CDs” statement, though, I’ve had my own personal bullshit story about that once.
Until 2006, it was apparently a custom for some music companies to implement some form of copy protection on their CDs which just caused way too many problems with computers and other hardware.
Imagine having a CD that you can play on most CD players, but not in your car stereo for some weird reason. Then imagine that same CD not even being recognised on your PC as a music CD, and you’re not even able to rip it because the software on it fucks it all up.
I’m grateful I only ever had one CD like that, but it was definitely a fucking pain.
June 19, 2012 at 6:01 pm
Oh, only just noticed you had the Born Again vinyl. AWESOME.
June 5, 2014 at 7:49 pm
I also noticed nothing comes close to iTunes than just music, quadruple the awesome.
June 19, 2012 at 6:03 pm
Im with you James! THATS REAL BULLSHIT!
I’m against him, it’s mistaken bull shit as much as samsung being here, same thing yearly losing here lawsuit there.
June 19, 2012 at 6:08 pm
Please that mask is creepy and disgusting, please don’t wear it.
June 19, 2012 at 6:10 pm
The mask is starting to grow on me, esp when you get to see the close up shots, fuckn gross! lol. You need to dub the new mascot “Bullshit the Hut”, please!
June 19, 2012 at 6:13 pm
NOOOOO, you caved and started talking through the mask, instead of a dub over… which is fine… in fact im surprised how it doesn’t screw up your voice that much….. just..
damn what was wrong with the road spikes one?
either way, awesome episode
June 19, 2012 at 6:49 pm
I love Zune. It got too much apple fanboy hate. Introducing me to new artists thanks to Zune Pass is always a plus in my book.
June 5, 2014 at 7:46 pm
I prefer iTunes any day. Zune got too much from fangasming going what lies there. Doing the job even for syncing satisfies any day.
June 19, 2012 at 6:56 pm
I usually just buy the cd, easy to load on my xbox and easy to put on my mp3 player
June 5, 2014 at 7:47 pm
Not as easy as downloading from iTunes or loading from an iDevice to a disc, you can also copy to it but who needs CDs when you have music to carry?
June 19, 2012 at 7:01 pm
Here’s a tip James: don’t use Macs. Or just get Spotify or some other music player. Also, Echoes is awesome, Pink Floyd ftw!
June 5, 2014 at 7:48 pm
iTunes FTW. Here’s a tip james, fix all your problems before making such rant, or just use the app, music can stay on there without moving from computer to device.
June 19, 2012 at 7:27 pm
in itunes account settings you can deauthorize all computers
June 19, 2012 at 7:37 pm
not really the comeback-video i was expecting.
besides some technical inaccuracies (ping has been shut down recently for example) itunes doesnt seem like something the bullshit man would do a rant about, from his previous installments he seems like a more simple minded guy to me (does he really have a mac pro up in the attic? of course we know james might but a man with a face of fecies?) which is the reason why he is so relatable, he has problems almost anyone can at least relate to, while many people may nowadays be forced to use itunes because of their iphones, its still no comparison to how many people in the world have already received unneccesarily huge boxes in their mail or wound up with too many pennies in their wallets.
what id also like to mention is that the overall impression of the video didnt boast the same kind of humour ive grown so fond of from james in general so my hope is that the next AVGN episode will rather remind us of what made us love the nerd in the first place (while we all rocket through the roof waiting for the movie to come out) rather than bringing in new elements like the bullshit man just did in my opinion
June 19, 2012 at 7:53 pm
This damn itunes is constantly updating. I just wanna play a song and an update window pops up as soon as I boot up. Stop Updating so much or do it in the background and it might be ok. Right on Jim, I don’t DL them anymore either.
June 19, 2012 at 7:57 pm
I’ve never had iTunes. That shit is… well, shit.
Foobar2000 all the way baby!
June 19, 2012 at 8:26 pm
what about facebook
i HATE the new timeline mode
June 19, 2012 at 8:33 pm
PC > MAC
June 5, 2014 at 7:42 pm
Not. Look at the ratings again.
June 19, 2012 at 8:45 pm
First world problems.
0 world problems.
June 19, 2012 at 9:21 pm
Just one of the many things apple is bad at. Not to say apple isn’t good at anything, but the praise apple gets is ridiculous and its bullshit like this that proves they can fuck shit up just like other companies!
June 5, 2014 at 7:44 pm
What exactly are they fucking up? I checked all these problems and from what I see james just rants this like he wants to hate on something for once that’s innocent. The praise apple gets is straightforward but in a right way like they know what they’re doing compared to no brainers.
June 19, 2012 at 9:59 pm
Google Chrome never asks to update. It happens automatically and you never know until you look at the about box.
June 19, 2012 at 10:14 pm
I just use zune, ive been using it since it came out and havent had a single problem.
June 5, 2014 at 7:41 pm
Same with iTunes but never had these problems he had because he’s too lazy to fix.
June 19, 2012 at 10:54 pm
LOL , the bullshit man mask is so disgusting and disturbing…Love it!!
And stop using those silly apple software.. stick with the old cd`s, rip them..use flac, download free music..anything, but don`t keep feeding that rotten apple
Stop listening to these desperate trolls james, stick with the app if you continue to go through these “problems” that don’t look like any, don’t stick with these putrid minds of these trolls, besides who needs CDs when the iPod can fit in your pocket or better yet, see every song you can play without scrolling though them.
June 19, 2012 at 11:36 pm
I dont have itunes on my pc an dont really listen to music anyway
June 19, 2012 at 11:53 pm
Fuck Apple and anything to do with it!!! DAMN Shit is Bullshit
June 5, 2014 at 7:32 pm
Fuck you and any gibberish shit you can’t fool anyone with this kind of bull shit.
June 19, 2012 at 11:54 pm
fuck steve jobs too. im glad he’s dead. what a fucking megalomaniac prick. such an egotistic pretentious bastard
June 5, 2014 at 7:35 pm
Fuck your life to, I’m glad no one gives a shit about that because I don’t care if he is here or not, iTunes can carry on either way makes no difference. Such a screwed souless dick you are with a peanut ant sized life, such a wang minded vex bitching gloat.
June 20, 2012 at 1:25 am
iTunes updates so often because it needs to creep through your browser and figure out what crap to sell you.
June 5, 2014 at 7:36 pm
Figures out the simple way.
June 20, 2012 at 1:49 am
This is what you get with Apple James.
You could use so many other things that would be less restricting and work a lot faster as well.
Don’t expect anything less from the company that is only great for making idiots fawn over shiny things that look ‘purty’
June 5, 2014 at 7:38 pm
And this is what you get with gimmicks. This is why the app was made because it doesn’t do what he sees but better yet he doesn’t know what he’s even doing. Don’t give your hopes up for anything else that fools you right in their traps like you were expecting nothing better than ‘hope’.
June 20, 2012 at 1:59 am
Don’t forget about the silent deletions! missing music is BULL SHIT!!!
June 20, 2012 at 3:20 am
YES! LOVE IT!
Been too long without a slice of James brain– Mmmm, imaginatively nutritious!
Why are 90% of the comments about hating on Apple? I think your fan base has been taken over by a bunch of uninspired dolts suckling at the creativity tit– although I’d love to see the episode: “You know what’s bullshit? MY FANS,” I won’t hold my breath.
Thanks for being.
You know what’s Bullshit? “You know what’s Bullshit ?”going bullshit.
In the previous episodes the “You know what’s Bullshit?” was critical and funny, I laughed my pants off almost every time I agreed with him, but ever since Bullshit man appeared in the previous episode, the funny part is gone and it is all critical now…making Bullshit man appear on screen and dropping the funny part IS BULLSHIT!
Hope you pull it together James because for me your Bullshit series died at episode 15 :/
June 20, 2012 at 3:30 am
Search for streamingsoundtracks.com, you get to request movie soundtracks and listen to them 24/7!
That’s alot faster then dealing with itunes, cheaper too!
June 20, 2012 at 3:34 am
I’ve always hated iTunes. I hate the format, and I hate iPods.
I’d rather just drag and drop MP3s to my MP3 player, and NOT have to go through all the BS involved with using Apple’s own proprietary format.
But you’re right James….how HAVE we come so far away from just slapping a record in and hitting play? I’ll be honest, ever since I got an MP3 player, originally to use at the gym, I have used it quite a lot. However, I’ll never get rid of my CD collection, it’s too big, and I value it too much. If I really love a band, and really want their album, I will buy it on CD. It will be a sad day if it ever comes to pass that you simply CAN’T buy a physical copy of an album anymore.
Hell, one of these days when I have money to burn, I will most likely get my hands on an old record player (like I had when I was a kid), and work on building up a classic vinyl collection. Why? Just because.
June 5, 2014 at 7:31 pm
I always liked iTunes, not overrated, not a runner up, I own an iPhone to have songs transferred but on the go, this is why I use the app. As I did before iTunes though, yes I drag and dropped to but I now do that with iTunes after I download without downloading bull shit from the web that may come with malware like android. Aside from this, james you don’t have a point, but as for you, the only reason we were away because iTunes wasn’t here yet, but better yet, I can simply carry music with me, see what I am playing, and when iTunes came that’s where good quality came in.
June 20, 2012 at 3:59 am
You know what’s bullshit? Viewing cinemassacre.com on a mobile device.
This a typical routine for me:
– Getting an e-mail from cinemassacre
– Hey, that post seems cool. I’m gonna check it out
– Clicking my link, see a glimse of the post i clicked, AND FUCK: Get the cinemassacre android app! Whoopdioo, nice to know. Have it on my ios device, but not on android.
– Continue to cinemassacre.com -> ANOTHER AD FOR THE MOBILE APP
– Continue to cinemassacre.com -> Finally continues but I’m at the front page. Super! Just great, that’s what i wanted when i clicked a link to a specific post.
June 20, 2012 at 4:10 am
I left the beast long long ago and have been settling with Windows Media Player. All it does it play music though…
Oh wait, that’s the whole point!
June 5, 2014 at 7:20 pm
I stayed on the bright side away from runner ups since the beginning, I am problem free literally, and all iTunes does is play whatever quickly and smooth sharp And I mean whatever, oh wait it’s a bigger point.
June 20, 2012 at 4:51 am
Do not rant.
No, you can’t.
Apple’s got you,
By the balls.
You are at its,
Beck and call.
But do not fret.
And do not let,
It vex you so.
And give Spotify
(Now, how often do you get poetry written for you?)
Seriously, though. I’ve used Apple products in the past, and as good as they are, I just couldn’t stand having to use iTunes. Why couldn’t I just drag an drop music files onto my device? Why?? Now I have Spotify synced on all my devices: home PC, phone, and tablet, so I’m never without my music.
It’s not perfect. Some music isn’t available on it yet, but more is being added everyday.
Thanks, as always, for the laughs.
June 5, 2014 at 7:27 pm
Why rant and bitch
Stop acting like a raspy glitch
Who needs spotify
I hate it don’t ask why
Free trial, limits there’s your answer
It’s nothing but a burnt reeky fry.
This poetry adds up to how experience is dealt.
Even if you still have problems with iTunes fixed or not just use the app the music stays on the device if used by it, but if you want to drag and drop, download them on the computer and do the rest like anything else would.
June 20, 2012 at 5:13 am
Ya know, this is excatly why I never use iTunes, to listen to music… in general. When I’m on my laptop, I plug in my iPod and listen to music from there, sure, but when I’m on my desktop, I use Windows Media Player. It’s been working fine for me in all the years I’ve used it, so I can’t see why I should change it.
June 5, 2014 at 7:11 pm
This is why I use the app, though the problems I have solved but my account is still signed in but it’s slightly more faster yet you can still download along with it’s kick beating quality and iTunes or not, your songs can be transferred easily.
June 20, 2012 at 5:42 am
I’m glad I never used iTunes.
June 5, 2014 at 7:08 pm
I’m glad I do, there’s more than music.
June 20, 2012 at 6:14 am
I stick with WInamp thank u very much. it haven’t change EVER since it’s realise. Ovcourse there were some changes and sometimes it popes a update box but WAY less oftern than Itunes.
June 20, 2012 at 6:35 am
I never used Itunes, but the DRM has been the greatest enemy for the most PC gamers out there.
