Damn Good Vid James, I personally could not choose between these two either, they are both an inspiration to the horror genre, Good Work.

  • November 11, 2011 at 12:37 am

I open the cinemassacre site and see the title of this video. Hoooollyyyy shit!

  • November 11, 2011 at 12:56 am

As far as Impact to the genre and amount of famous or cult films, Karloff so deserved that. Can’t wait to see Price vs. Karloff!!

“KARLOFF DOES NOT DESERVE TO SMELL MY SHIT!” That line should be funny…but it’s actually kind of heavy when you know both of their backstories.

I knew Karloff was going to win, but it was still a great match. Overall, this has been a fantastic project. I hope you had as much fun making it as we do watching it, James!

  • November 11, 2011 at 1:41 am

I knew Boris Karloff would win becuse Karloff and Price are the only once who shared the same movie together so Lugosi couldn’t win, oh well my favorite is Lugosi but then again Karloff did won the most so i guess he’s better 🙁 poor Lugosi

  • Calavera

    November 11, 2011 at 2:42 am

You don’t have time to make AVGN episodes that everybody wants to see, but you have plenty of time to make “Titans of Terror” a series that nobody asked for. James I know you are just tired of the AVGN and you don’t want to make them anymore. That is fine but why not just admit it, instead of all these excuses about how hard it is to make an episode. The nostalgia critic make a new episode every week that is 20+ minutes long, yet you are unable to make a ten minute AVGN episode in a month. Your fans have gave you over $100,000 for the AVGN movie, so obviously people want to see AVGN.

  • November 11, 2011 at 2:52 am

Calavera – James should be able to follow his passion… making what he enjoys. The $100,000 is to help fund the movie not to make him drop everything stop enjoying his passion and crank out a movie for you..

  • Illogicalmilk

    November 11, 2011 at 3:44 am

Calavera- Nostalgia Critic sits in front of a camera talking while the movie is playing. Now a feature length movie is going to take some time you don’t shit out a movie in a couple weeks.

    Hey James, Mike, whoever,
Here is a 20-minute Interview with George A. Romero from a German TV Station:
the Intervviever is Bela B: Drummer of German Punk band ”Die Ärzte”.

German subtitles, but original englich tone.

  • Oropher

    November 11, 2011 at 5:36 am

Especially the end is cool, they ask George to make his hotel room into a bit of a horror set with what is available there, just a fun little interview with catch your zombies, find your quotes and more XD

  • Paul Dower

    November 11, 2011 at 10:27 am

hey do Bela and Price share any films together?

  • November 11, 2011 at 10:32 am

@Paul – that’s from the Ed Wood movie

  • sherlockfreak

    November 11, 2011 at 10:37 am

Damn! Lugosi is definitely my favorite. 🙁
But I knew he couldn’t win because he and Price didn’t do a film together, so there could be no battle. Oh well… he’ll always be winner to me! 😀

As for those two other people…. calm down, jesus christ.
James always does this monster stuff during and generally around October. Aside from that, he always does stuff that has nothing to do with the Nerd. The Nerd is ONE character, ONE thing that James does. Did you watch that “Making of AVGN” video? He’s talked before about how long it takes to make those videos. Shit, I edit music videos with footage I don’t have to write or film myself, and THAT takes days to do. Nevermind creating the whole fucking project from the ground up!

Fuck this, I’m not even going to give you two fucking assholes anymore of my time. If you’re that upset, just go away.

  • BrockLobster

    November 11, 2011 at 11:42 am

Compelling rhetoric as it was supposed to be, I think you failed miserably in accomplishing anything. Let James have his career. Last I checked, he’s been working his nuts off to get the movie going, and the only thing you’re seeing are videos posted, just like you don’t see the number of hours he throws into a ten-to-fifteen-minute video for A.V.G.N. episodes, though sometimes the efforts exceed four days for him.
Let it go. If you can’t be patient, we don’t need you here. You’re free to go.

I’m glad that Boris won. I’ve never really liked bela Lugosi.

  • Cazlab

    November 11, 2011 at 12:58 pm

Yay Boris, my favorite! 😀 Vincent Price will probably be the winner though.. But he’s awesome too so it doesn’t matter ^^

  • November 11, 2011 at 1:43 pm

Yeah, I figured this was coming. I guess Lugosi put up a good fight (except at the end where he just rolled over and died). The final battle is taking place between Vincent Price and Boris Karloff.

I don’t know how many movies together Karloff and Price had, but I only know of 1, the Raven, the one you showed at the beginning with Peter Lorre and Boris Karloff duking it out. If there are any other movies, then, great, a better, longer than 1 round final match. I’m still putting my money on Vincent Price, though.

  • WingedKitsune

    November 11, 2011 at 4:34 pm

    @Calvera & Cannibal Iglu:

Why don’t you both get lives? James doesn’t OWE it to you to make what you want him to make. The AVGN character actually started out as a one time thing, but it got popular so he decided to do more. I love this Monster Madness stuff, although I will admit I’m sad he didn’t get to doing Friday the 13th this year, as it’s my all time favorite horror series. 🙁

The AVGN Movie will be done when it’s done. I don’t even want to imagine what kind of nightmare the editing for the movie is going to be like. If it takes 3+ days just to edit a normal AVGN video, the movie is probably going to take months after filming before it’s ready to show.

Can you even imagine the inhuman pace he was going at to make 2, sometimes 3 AVGN Videos in a single month? Any lesser person would have snapped like a fucking rubberband and driven their head into a cement wall.

I will continue to be patient until such time as the movie comes out.

Good stuff! Just for laughs,, When I was about 5 years old. (1965) My mom came home with a childrens record for me. It was the story of Chicken Little, narrated by none other than Boris Karloff. It was creepy as shit, and somehow seemed really just,,, wrong? Of course after all these years it’s lost forever. I’ve looked on the internet, and the only reference I can find to anything remotely close to this is Karloff reciting the 3 little pigs. Maybe that was on the same album. Damn, I wish I still had it. I’ll never forget the way he said,,, “Henny-Penny”,,,

  • April 12, 2016 at 3:24 pm

Lugosi FTW. He deserves to be in a role better than Karloff’s sidekick. Yes, I have seen “Ed Wood”
