Damn… Companies should give this kind of car as a leasing car…

  • August 23, 2011 at 6:19 am

Daaaamn! I seriously wish I was at the art show for this car! I’d LOVE drivin’ around in it!

  • Riknight36

    August 23, 2011 at 6:26 am

Wow! Seriously? Other people loved Raphael, too? Growing up, I was always the ONLY kid who liked him on the playground and in the arcade. Everybody was always into Mikey. Nice to see that I wasn’t the only one who loved the asshole of the group.

  • August 23, 2011 at 6:27 am

Ha! im an Illustrator also, it seems like everybody had a blast showing their works and meeting other artists, I’m sooo jealous, I should’ve taken the first flight to philly! hehe 🙂

    August 23, 2011 at 8:09 am

My favorite has always been Raphael as well, my brother’s was Michelangelo, I knew a couple Leonardo fans, but I’ve never heard anyone say his/her favorite to be Donatello before… I guess there has to be a first time for everything.

On to the art show. I saw some really cool sh.. shells I would love to own!
Thanks for sharing this with us.

    August 23, 2011 at 8:12 am

SBoyShadow, my fave was Donatello, while my cousin liked Leo, and his brother liked Mike.

  • August 23, 2011 at 8:50 am

My favourite TMNT Turtle was Donatello because purple was my favorite colour at the time. I even had a cake made with Donatello’s picture on it. I have a photo of it somewhere. I have to look for it and put it on the internet. Anyway nice video. Cinemassacre always make nice videos.

  • Riknight36

    August 23, 2011 at 10:17 am

@SBoyShadow: My fiance’s favorite was Don. She said she liked him because he was the nerd of the group. She loves nerds, which is why she’s marrying me, I guess.

  • Snake_

    August 23, 2011 at 10:17 am

and btw: I’m lame my favourite Turtle is Leonardo(only kid on my block as a kid that liked Leonardo)

  • SPF15

    August 23, 2011 at 10:54 am

I think my favorite thing were the seats in the Turtle Van, just cause I know she had to use Ninja Turtle bed sheets to make them and I used to have those exact bed sheets. Besides you’ll always see people who made a version of the Bat Mobile or the Ecto 1 from Ghostbusters or the time machine from Back to the Future, but who ever made a Turtle Van before. I think I want to see a real life Thunder Tank now from ThunderCats, although I doubt that would be street legal.

Also I’m not gonna lie, but Leonardo was always my favorite Ninja Turtle. However I’ve always kind of leaned towards the leaders of groups as my favorite.

I’m not 100% sure but is the interviewer James’ wife?

  • JamesRolfe

    August 23, 2011 at 11:18 am

My fav was easily Michaelangelo. I had no friends who favored Rafael so those people surprised me.

I’m not here to troll, but this was like a douchebag convention. I’m not sure who I found to be the most annoying. Was it the creepy guy with the wild beard who made some bizarre comment about what one can do with a broom handle? Or was it the woman(?) who went off on an impassioned soliloquy about TMNT’s aversion to violence? Maybe it was that more-hipster-than-thou bearded dude with the “ironic” Doors or whatever t-shirt.

I wouldn’t mind giving that Kasey some loving, though. And she’s the only one who appeared to be (quite rightly) a bit embarrassed about the whole thing. She wasn’t pretending that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles gave her meaning in life. Or worse, actually does have a life that revolves around TMNT. She was there, it was a gig, maybe she got some money out of it, but she’s not all about some cartoon from the 80s and doesn’t pretend to be. That’s what I life to see.

I live in Philly and i could of go there i think that place is 10 mins from where i live

  • Calavera

    August 23, 2011 at 1:03 pm

magnushaavikko I agree with you one hundred percent. I think that woman(?) was the worst thought, it’s a kids cartoon show, its not the meaning of life. They only fight when they need too and blah blah blah. Yeah that Kasey chick was the only normal one there.

That Turtle Van is so damn cool! If I had that me and my brothers would dress up as Ninja Turtles and go find us a chic that looks like April O’Neal and like totally gang bang her in the van. Then as we climax we’d shout out, “COWABUNGA!!!”

  • August 23, 2011 at 3:26 pm

very nice! I grew up with ninja turtles as well and it’s one of the things that got me into art (along with other cartoons i watched and comic strips i read as a kid). It’s great to see so many of my generation of artists inspired by the same things that inspired me.

  • Monstermash

    August 23, 2011 at 4:02 pm

I love the TMNT Van, it’s nerdy cool. lmao

  • billpardy

    August 23, 2011 at 4:10 pm

i love everything about this video! i mean for me growing up i was all about TMNT and X-men. i thought i would have grown out of that by now but i find myself loving them more and more as i get older.

    donatello all the way lol

  • Destro

    August 23, 2011 at 4:59 pm

Omg again with TMNT!!!!Ok i love the TMNT especially for their humor and stuff but come on!!!You made the animated series, the movies, the live action show, board games and more so shouldn’t you end with this subject?I know all these videos take a lot of time to be made or in order to gather info+stuff you need to spend a lot of time but enough with TMNT i think you covered them 120%.

  • supremenerdfan89

    August 23, 2011 at 5:05 pm

who is this lady doing the interviewing? perhaps she is mrs. nerd?

  • August 23, 2011 at 5:41 pm

    Really nice!

And using her normal voice too hehe

    loved it!

  • TehJedicake

    August 23, 2011 at 6:22 pm

    I’m a Donatello guy

Oh and for people wondering, no, that isn’t James’ wife

  • August 23, 2011 at 6:50 pm

Well others are unemploied some people dying on the streets the entire world suffer a great deal of crisis and some others show their artistic view by drawing ninja turtles in an abstract way.Sorry that i am so cinic about the whole thing you guys i love turtles and cartoons and all this are far more than beautifull,i admire those artists that have deticated their entire lives just to make people happy but some must look around them and wonder a litle if the world is going to a strate line!

  • Valis77

    August 23, 2011 at 6:54 pm

NO! April is comming with ME!

  • xdeathknightx

    August 23, 2011 at 7:04 pm

She made her own turtle van? And knows her way around a car? I am in love 😀
And I was always a Donatello fan, intelligence and a cool staff also easy to play him because you just needed a large piece of wood.

  • Wonderboy86

    August 23, 2011 at 7:18 pm

The only thing that could make that TMNT van more cool would be if it was a VW Micro bus lol

    August 23, 2011 at 10:16 pm

Cool vid James. That was some nice art they had on display through the whole video. Stephanie should do more stuff as herself as well. Her normal voice is definitely hotter than her Overanalyzer voice.

    That turtle van is epic!

  • TheProfessor

    August 23, 2011 at 11:21 pm

Not trying to sound like a jerk, Michelle Ivey is an awesome turtle fan and so is her van. But it just seems like if someone was gonna go through all the trouble of building one and spending all that money that they would have dropped a little more on an old vw bus.

    Just saying….

  • August 23, 2011 at 11:37 pm

I SOOOOooo wish I had known about this in advance. I’ve been drawing turtles on and off for a long time and I really wish I could have sent something out there at least to see if it got any reactions.

  • Silgon

    August 23, 2011 at 11:43 pm

@Destro even if you say everything that there is to say about TMNT i assure you that there’s still a lot more to talk about. TMNT is just one of those topics that can be discussed in so many different ways that it’s basically impossible to say “there’s nothing more to say about this”. Besides if you noticed James wasn’t in this video so it’s safe to assume this cost him no time at all (other than maybe the editing of the video).

With that out of the way I’d say I’m a Raphael guy since he’s the most badass turtle. Hope to see more of this TMNT stuff and i really hope that someday you’ll review the “Millennium” TMNT animated series (the one from the 2000s).

  • TheProfessor

    August 23, 2011 at 11:44 pm

Not Michelle Ivey’s van. My mistake.

  • sinisterjuggernaut

    August 24, 2011 at 12:00 am

    that van is awesome.

    Donatello is the greatest turtle

  • danny

    August 24, 2011 at 3:45 am

    I love that Turtle van!

And yes, Stephanie is ridiculously cute.

  • Joker83

    August 24, 2011 at 2:18 pm

The new “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle” comic book series debuted today with issue #1.

The story and layouts are by Kevin Eastman the original co-creator! So James, I suggest you check it out.
Also the original series is being reprinted and should be released soon, I know I am going to pick that up too.

  • Landofunk

    August 24, 2011 at 3:09 pm

Whoh..some serious Turtle nerds there..but that’s cool since I know I’m just as nerdy about old arcade games 🙂 At least one person said they liked Leo though..He had fuckin’ swords people! Though the guys comment about Don was totally spot on 😀

  • TomM

    August 24, 2011 at 3:27 pm

I don’t know why everyone likes Raphael so much. Personally I like Michelangelo or Donatello more.

  • Calavera

    August 24, 2011 at 6:10 pm

Sorry to burst your bubble but that turtle van is not cool. It is a plymouth voyager she completely missed the point right there. It might as well had been a Ford Econoline.

  • August 24, 2011 at 6:46 pm

I actually saw the turtle van as a kid, it was an amazing experience being that I was a huge tmnt fan, I also saw the old school batman car.

  • Chris82csub

    August 24, 2011 at 7:14 pm

Why does everyone hate on Leonardo? He was my favorite because he seemed like the wise and tough older brother to all the other Turtles. He wasn’t a “wuss”, I believe Rafael referred to him as the “fearless leader.”

  • PoLaR

    August 24, 2011 at 9:04 pm

I think Leo was epic as fuck! They all had pro’s and cons, but they used their strengths and weaknesses to their advantage. They make stellar role-models from a kids perspective.

Good stuff, cool to hear other people’s opinions.

  • EnigmaBoi85

    August 24, 2011 at 9:15 pm

I love all the turtles equally, Leo for himself and his displine of himself, Raph for his sarcastic, yet tough attitude. Don for his inventions and intellect.
Mikey for comic relief., they may not be brothers by blood but they are brothers because they bounded together to fight not only each other at times but the crimes and things of the world. Spinter himself is truly a person/rat to look up to, teaches you it doesn’t matter what you look like on the outside it’s your soul and essence that matters… this is why I have my ‘ Sisters.’ I’m a combination of all the turtles theres only three of them all, but they remind me alot of the turtles.. I think I’d be Mikey the goofy guy amongst the chicks.

  • August 25, 2011 at 4:35 am

Steph is much better without that stupid accent, plus she has a hilarious nod 😛

Donatello would have to be my favourite turtle, but they’re such a well balanced bunch of characters you can’t have one without the others.

  • ajgenard

    August 26, 2011 at 2:23 pm

There is some wicked awesome stuff there. Too bad that disgusting Michelle Ivey had to be in this video to fuck it all up. With company like her, it almost makes me feel ashamed to be a Turtle fan.

  • August 27, 2011 at 3:42 am

Great video on the Turtles. It’s cool that they had this art show thing. That turtle van is pretty cool, but it’s totally the wrong model! Everyone knows the turtle van is a Volkswagon van! :p 😀

  • August 27, 2011 at 11:32 am

Very disappointed. i seen Slash NOWHERE in any of that artwork! come on guys SLASH ROCKS!

  • GoldenFrog

    August 28, 2011 at 5:45 pm

Very cool stuff, that turtle van was too fiendish but a great job done.

  • TheLHP

    August 29, 2011 at 6:16 pm

At least in the animated series, Leo always seemed like he could kick the most ass out of the turtles if he desired..
and holy ass i want that van lol

  • September 1, 2011 at 5:31 am

    Good video!

  • rmfgotenks

    September 1, 2011 at 9:30 am

I like all turtles equally in the cartoon because their skills and personalities mesh so well together. But in a video game I always find myself picking Leo because he’s the best all around. Ralph’s strong but lacks reach. Mikie’s quick but lacks power and reach. Don’s powerful and has the best reach but is slow to use. Leo has decent reach, strenth, and speed so usualy Leo would be my first pick.

Hi, guys, thanks for watching! Please keep your eyes peeled for upcoming Pop Culture Tribute Art shows around the Philly/NJ/DE area, and I will do my best to cover them – just facebook/twitter/g+ me with details. Promoting indie artists is my favorite thing to do 🙂

PS: @Jerram Fahey – thanks for the compliment and don’t worry – the ambiguous European accent is supposed to be AWFUL so folks will over-analyze it. I *did* actually grow up with a strong Hungarian accent, but now I think I sound like the damned mother from Bobby’s World. Don’tcha know.
