Wow….this game looks simply amazing….I wanna play!

    • May 19, 2015 at 8:43 am

Well this will piss off the Nerd. I herd thier was an SNES game that was almost 100% done but was caned with the release of the Nintendo 64. Since pulled the plug on it. Irem sill has the SNES games but unlike cheetahmen 2 the carts never got out and unlike StarFox 2 the rom was never leeked.

man that game looks awesome. love classic side scrolling beat-em ups. they should released it on live and PSN. I for one would gladly pay for it. Ninja Baseball Batman FTW.

    July 29, 2011 at 10:10 am

Surprisingly the funniest episode I’ve ever seen. Just awesome.

  • July 29, 2011 at 10:11 am

Ninja Baseball Batman! I think that might surpass even “Ninja Golf!” for best title ever.

  • Valhawk

    July 29, 2011 at 10:24 am

I agree completely, this game really needs to come out on PSN and XBLA. I love this game, the quirkiness is what got me hooked into more than normal beat’em ups. Been enjoying this game for years on an emulator. But yes, the public must know about this and hopefully will get a console release of some kind.

    July 29, 2011 at 10:40 am

This gameplay video has blown my mind on so many levels.

was it just gamefootage or an emulator…….or do you actually own this arcade machine?

Anyway Thanks for sharing this experience^^

My favorite game names are Destination Earthstar, and Earth Died Screaming. But they don’t really live up to their titles.

    Ninja Baseball motherfucking Batman!

  • BrockLobster

    July 29, 2011 at 11:01 am

Haha, I actually have played this a few times. It’s actually one of the best Beat’em Ups I’ve ever played. It’s absolute chaos in the best form in which it could possibly exist. I definitely recommend that someone create a petition for this game to be popped onto Playstation Network / X-Box Live Arcade. If people create a petition for this, essentially all James’ fans will sign it, and create the urge for these companies to find a way to release it on home consoles.

  • July 29, 2011 at 11:01 am

how did i missed this one? i want this on PSN now!!!!!!!!! but in the meantime, time to download emulators again, by the way, saying NINJA BASEBALL BATMAN feels awesome!!!

  • Moleman

    July 29, 2011 at 11:03 am

Wow I never expected the nerd to talk about this one. Arcade only US and Japanese versions and it is every bit as insane and awesome as he says.

I did a 55 minute let’s play of the game with my podcast months ago if anyone wants to see what the whole game is like:

  • July 29, 2011 at 11:07 am

Wow! My mind is blown to pieces! I wanna play this!

  • johnjon

    July 29, 2011 at 11:21 am

Ninja Baseball Batman was developed by Irem. **dramatic twist** The same company that made Deadly Towers for the NES! Duh duh duuuuuh….

  • BrockLobster

    July 29, 2011 at 11:23 am
    Start the e-mails.
Also, @Johnthegamer: This was actually all designed by an American working in the Irem’s U.S.A. branch, Drew Maniscalco, and the Japanese company Irem programmed it.

  • July 29, 2011 at 11:28 am

@johnjon: irem also came up with R-Type …. and hammerin’ harry… pretty borderline company, huh?

  • July 29, 2011 at 11:32 am

Ninja Baseball BatMan…NINJA BASEBALL BATMAN! XD

  • PorkFrydRice

    July 29, 2011 at 11:33 am

This game is so beautiful I actually started to cry a bit. There is no reason this shouldn’t be available on all digital download services. Virtual Console, PSN, Xbox Live Arcade. Might as well get it on some tablets too like the iPad.

    July 29, 2011 at 11:37 am

Thank you so much James!!! This game is an orgasm for the brain lol!!

  • July 29, 2011 at 12:05 pm

LOL. This is a feast for the senses of epic proportions. It somehow reminded me of battling seizure robots, another (faux) Japanese creation. I feel like playing this game in HD would almost certainly give you a seizure.

    Ow, my brain.

  • Kenshiroh

    July 29, 2011 at 1:11 pm

The name sounds like one of those stupid Batman action figures they had in the 1990s. I was imagining a neon green Batman with a baseball bat shaped missile launcher that shoots shuriken.

  • July 29, 2011 at 1:13 pm

Wow, this short really bring me back to the older episodes, thanks james for taking some time por the nerd episodes while you’re making the AVGN movie plus the work en spike and the other stuff yo do

  • July 29, 2011 at 1:20 pm

  • Mr. Vermin

    July 29, 2011 at 1:52 pm

James, you had me laughing before I could even watch the video. Just seeing your reaction face coupled with “Ninja Baseball Batman” was enough for me.

It does look like a really fun game, definitely not one I’ve seen. I noticed Japanese in there around 1:57, I think the characters were “็„กๅฟต” which means something like regret, they seem to appear as a character dies and fades away so maybe it’s “regrettable” or like saying “SHIT!” when they die… I don’t know how interesting that was -_-

anyways, thanks for this video James! always love to see what little gems you come across (as well as the pieces of shit). Keep up the amazing work, always a fan!

  • Mr. Vermin

    July 29, 2011 at 1:56 pm

Sorry, I meant to write when an enemy dies, but I haven’t seen what happens when a main character dies so who knows!

    July 29, 2011 at 1:57 pm

  • blacksarana

    July 29, 2011 at 1:58 pm

I got addicted to arcade game because of this Ninja Baseball Bat Man (this game has nothing to do with Batman franchise and should be called “Bat Man” instead of “Batman”.) When I was little, I literally wasted good part of my childhood life and thousands and thousands of coins.

  • SonicX007

    July 29, 2011 at 1:59 pm

:O Holy shit those this game look epic…. But wait a minute…”It should be on XBOX LIVE” !? WHAT WHERE YOU THINKING JAMES IT SHOULD BE ON PLAY STATION NETWORK!!!

  • July 29, 2011 at 2:03 pm

This game is SO much fun!

The title is only missing the words “Major General”. Those are fun to say too. (Thanks Shawn and Gus of ‘psych’!)

Why not say, ” This should come out for Xbox360, PS3, and Wii”.
I want play this too. I miss how arcades use to be, but they can’t come close to the console systems anymore. In the past, the arcades surpass the home console. I remeber TMNT(1&2), Bad dudes, T2 the arcade, etc. Ahhh…. the good ol’days

  • Freudstein

    July 29, 2011 at 2:47 pm

Is it just me or do a lot of those backgrounds look lifted right out of Streets of Rage 2? Regardless, it still looks like a badass game.

    July 29, 2011 at 2:50 pm

Wow nfinitejester, that’s weird, I also just got dumped from an 8 year relationship and also it’s been the first laugh I got since then (last weekend)… at least it’s cool to see the nerd is helping people to get some good times in-between the darkest of time..!

  • July 29, 2011 at 3:15 pm

I’m a big fan of beat-em up games! Thx for introducing me to that one! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’Il play it on MAME this weekend!

You should do more Arcade classics reviews by the way! And you should start with the shitty Castlevania Arcade game, Haunted Castle!

  • July 29, 2011 at 3:19 pm

I think the only reason why he said “XBox live” is because it has the reputation of being the console with the best live experience ^^ nothing more, nothing less, so chill out guys

    NINJA BASEBALL BATMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    July 29, 2011 at 3:51 pm

HOLLY SHIT THE ANGRY VIDEO GAME NERD REVIEWING NINJA BASEBALL BATMAN THIS IS BEYOND FUCKING AWESOME ….Yeah. I lived through most of my childhood in South Korea, my home country, and this game was extremely common in the arcades in Korea. This is, by my memory, one of the most popular nostalgic games to the Korean public who lived through the mid-ninties to the early 2000’s- which is when the arcades started to become extinct in Korea. Other popular nostalgic games around at that time (excluding widely known games such as The King Of Fighters, and Metal Slug series) were: Snow Brothers 2 (Jap), Dungeons and Dragons II : Shadow Over Mystera (Eu), Cadilac and Dinosaurs (Eu)… and there were a few more but I can’t remember their titles. The games I just mentioned are LEGENDARY, and all equally, or more, FUCKING AWESOME games as Ninja Baseball Batman. Although I think they were available in North America more than Ninja Baseball Batman…

Anyway it’s just great to see the Nerd talking about such a nostalgic, classic, freak’n masterpiece. I hope he finds more of these games so he (at least his character) can take a nice break from all the shitty games he’s surrounded with.

  • JediRob

    July 29, 2011 at 4:05 pm

I think you needed one more “Ninja Baseball Batman” over the final title card….

[ small market ] u might see this game with a big ass joystick
box …. what an ass …. but you know , you can play 50 cents for like 5 life for each game . not bad idea. and usa nees to follow korea.
there is a PC room that has like 30 computers and you play like 1 dollar for 1 hour . i miss korea. i tell you , once u go to korea , u will no gonna come back.

  • IamKorean

Ninja Baseball Batman? Well, at least it’s not titled like that crappy movie “Geek Magot Bingo.”

Okay, after watching this, I’m convinced that “Ninja Baseball BatMan” needs to be released on the Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, 3DS, PSP, PC, esc. This game looks f**kin’ awesome.

  • July 29, 2011 at 5:29 pm

  • nodoctors

    July 29, 2011 at 5:40 pm

James or Mike, you absolutely need to check out Night Slashers if you think Ninja Baseball Batman was an underrated arcade beat em up. Night Slashers(make sure you get the uncut japanese version) was this straight up valentine to lovers of horror and over the top beat em up action games. Imagine running over a dozen zombies in your vehicle, blasting through the wall of a hospital, getting out and fighting hordes of the undead while the body bags come alive around you, just to fight Frankenstein’s monster as a mid level boss, and this is only half of the very first stage. Just check it out. Force James to play this if you get this message Mike. It’s co-op, and it’s just fucking phenomenal. My favorite beat em up by far.

  • July 29, 2011 at 5:53 pm

One of the most psychedelic games an arcade fan must play! i was able to escape from its madness the question is………can you!

  • Fei Wong

    July 29, 2011 at 5:56 pm

Okay, i must put this or else i must explode tonight:

Im chatting trough MSN with a long life friend right now, and i’ve seen a situation worth giving LETTERS and IMAGES to the entire internet and specially you Capcom Street Fighter Fans (James i think too :D)

Just enter youtube and search for the Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Ultimate trailer, i was seeeing it and thinking: oh cool more characters , i will buy this instead of normal 3 :D, AND THEN I SAW IT
Its shows Mike Haggar in the image and his name is HAGGER

Hagger isnt even his hapanese name if you could be thinking it right now.
    So much fail Capcom there.

  • July 29, 2011 at 5:57 pm

I’m surprised the game look so fluid because it’s not a 100% emulate as far as I know, anyway it’s really good (and this kind of game is called a Beat’em All in France :))

  • July 29, 2011 at 6:07 pm

I saw that game on my MAME cabinet a few years back, the title alone was mind-blowing, but the game… Not only is it fucking insane, but it’s actually REALLY DAMN FUN. Great stuff, happy to see someone talking about it.

I actually remember playing this game when I was a little kid. This game was so awesome I would sit down and put down quarters after quarters. Too bad you can’t find this game at the arcaed anymore. I would love to have this game on XBox Live to play full 4 player co-op mode.

  • July 29, 2011 at 7:21 pm

  • kaidoku123

    July 29, 2011 at 11:43 pm

you know this reminds me of my childhood at korea. If you have Ninja Baseball Batman, Tekken Tag team, Super Robot Wars, Plasma Sword, or any super cool games around your neighborhood, you were super lucky. By the way you should look at “Super Robot Wars” and review it since you like Monsters fighting each other i thought you might like giant mechanical being destroying each other middle of a city using the craziest powers

  • July 30, 2011 at 12:01 am

That level where they are on the grate look suspiciously like two levels intertwined from TMNT: Turtles In Time. It looks a hell of a lot like the Manhattan level crossed with the Mode 7 level where the Turtles are on the hoverboards.

  • kaidoku123

    Hey James,

since you talked about a great beat em up arcade game, did you test Asterix also for the arcade? It’s also a beat em up produced by Konami.
Never released on a home console. However there is a GBA game of a Asterix beat em up game, that was a different version. I prefer the arcade game more, cause Konami is da best. Nice video.

    Ninja baseball batman…

When I saw the gameplay for it I just thanked god for creating the land that the game came from, japan.

Yes japan: land of things so fucked up it almost looks like non sequitur humor and yet make it so fucking awesome.

Man, Thank japan and their weird crazy wacky land.

Thanks a lot for this video James. Beat em’ ups are some of my favorite games and it is stunning to discover a great looking game like Ninja Baseball Batman.

Out of curiosity, have you played the final version of Streets of Rage Remake? That is currently my favorite beat em’ up game.

  • July 30, 2011 at 7:48 am

James i feel your pain pal , why oh why are there soooooo many awesome japanese games that are forgotten in the past its sooooo sad…..;( like CYBERBOTS FULLMETAL MADNESS, BATTLE CIRCUIT, CAPCOMS ALIEN VS PERDATOR ARCADE….. DARKSTALKERS A.K.A VAMPIRE IN JAPAN . So sad indeed the world needs to know about Ninja baseball batman and so many others rather than the dull grey brown shooters of today.

  • Lanlost

    July 30, 2011 at 8:32 am

Did anyone notice how he obviously used an emulator but stated in his making of video that he wouldn’t use one ever?

I understand there isn’t much choice in this case due to it’s extremely limited availability. One platform, only 40ish copies. However, I would think that he would just skip over it despite the great name.

I would want to at least see what it was but I wouldn’t go all the way out of the way to install MAME and download a rom if I didn’t already have MAME installed.

After seeing this video I might, but just from hearing a name, no.

I really enjoyed the spontaneity of this video:
    a) releasing a video out of nowhere that is about a game. He does this all the time now but it’s not usually nerd/game related. Think about it, not only did he HAVE to play it, regardless of the unholy E, but he HAD to make a video about it. .. must be wo\rth trying.

Speaking of arcade beat em ups…there is one game that I played back in the early 90s that is known today as the Grand Super Shit Sandwich Turd Bomber of Doom of fighting games…and I think would definitely be worthy of a nerd review. Some of you may have guessed it already…and if not I offer only one hint:

If you know what game I mean, I feel sorry for you. Seriously. Imagine how I feel…I actually played it in an arcade and I am scarred for life!!!!!

    -The wickedness of the enemies
-The quality and colors of the graphics
-The impressive amount of action on the screen at all time
-Transforming a baseball game into an hack and slash adventure
-BATMAN(OK! it’s not there for real but just the name makes it worth it)
-But my favorite as got to be the baseball bat holding a baseball bat!!!

  • July 31, 2011 at 3:30 am

This is a IREM game, and if recent news indicate anything. They might be closing doors soon, but we shouldn’t lose hope!

DotEmu recently managed to get the rights to an IREM arcade compilation for PC, which doesn’t include Ninja Baseball Bat Man, but if the managed to get the rights to the other IREM games, I don’t see how they should be able to get the rights to this one, although since they probably don’t have enough games for another collection, so they’ll probably release it on iPhone, which is better than nothing?

I grew up in south Korea.
This game was practically in every neighbourhood when I was young.
Very popular among the kids. We used to call it ‘Baseball King’ because we had no idea how to read the english alphabet.
You should defs try snow bros. I don’t know if it made it to the nintendo or any other consoles but its another classic I grew up with.

  • Pfloyd

    July 31, 2011 at 8:24 am

@Calavera This is a game that wasn’t released on any console you idiot, the only way to play it is on an emulator. He plays it on an emulator because it’s the only way to play it.
@BobJohnson AVGN is not a game publisher, thats not his job, but it amazes me how retarded you are. Even if you add up all his donations received in the past 5 years it still wouldn’t be enough to pay for all the costs it takes to remake the game for modern consoles, publishing, advertising etc.
    Think before writing something geez.

  • July 31, 2011 at 9:06 am

It was so unfortunate to hear that less then 50 units shipped to this huge country. That’s like one per state. I played so much that I got the every tips and tricks to beat this in just one credit. Emulators are total bullshit. The reason that I hate them is because I am a game collector and I buy all of my games, and the people that use emulators are all like “Dude, I have (insert game here) and I got it for free.” NOOOO, you don’t. You have an illegal ROM that was put on the internet, and it has no redeamable value. The main reason why people use these instead of real games (besides being cheap asses) is that they feel the need to “save scum” all the way through the game which defeats the whole purpose. Bottom line is that emulators suck and I think that all people that use them to avoid having to pay for games should go the jail. In this case, James is an exception because he only used it for a 3 minute demonstration and otherwise buys all of the games that he plays. Even Cheetahmen II and Stadium Events.

@juggalo747: Oh, fuck off. We’re on the subject of a GODDAMN ARCADE GAME IN LIMITED EDITION HERE! The only option besides emulating it would be to pay THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR A MACHINE. As someone from a country without arcades, and by extention DEFINITELY without this in it, that would also include a shipping cost of a few hundred bucks. “Cheap asses”? Wow. Seriously, go headbutt a wall or something. And do it really, really hard. If we’re lucky you’ll be less of an ass afterwards.

@The Kaleidoscopic God: Now I’m pissed and I need a new wall. By the way I wasn’t just talking about this game, I meant the people that download the entire NES library and stuff like that. “Cheap asses” as in “I can’t afford $2 for a copy of Mario Bros / Duck Hunt so I better download it.” Plus, everybody should agree that save states are bull. I mean really, saving in the middle of a boss battle? May as well just use the “Beat a Game Button.”

I think there is a way to get this game onto xbox live….Just go to the Xbox website and request it, as I think that they will listen to our ideas for games to buy online.

There is another game to look for as well…It’s called “vendetta” and it has the same fighting style as this one…comically enough, on level 3, you fight through the red light district and enemies are pimps, flashers, hookers and even “Hard Gay” homosexuals who dry hump you…I am NOT joking…they dry hump you….they also dress up like that dude from the village people….Don’t beleive me? look on youtube for “vendetta – cobras vs Hard gay” and see for yourself.

  • tolenekis

    August 1, 2011 at 2:40 am

@juggalo747: Please don’t troll on those who use emulators and roms. I for one have every game ever made on every system in these forms. Do I have them to cheat? Am I deliberately doing it to make all the game companies lose money? NO! I have them for 3 important reasons. 1: I am not rich and do not have the money to buy all these games (even at $2.00a piece), so downloading them was the next logical step. 2: My kids deserve to play the games that developed my video game interest, and this is a great way for them to do it, and 3: If the goverment has their way in the next few years, the internet will no longer be a place where one can do tht anymore, so I collected them all as soon as I could. And furthermore, save states do NOT always make a game easier to beat. Take it from someone with 10 years of experience at this. C’mon, man. Gamers should be allowed to enjoy the games however they want. Let people alone, and just agree to disagree. Thank you.

  • August 1, 2011 at 9:07 am

Hey James. Great game. I played that thing in the arcade once back when it first came out. I didn’t know what the hell it was at first. Before I played it I thought; “Ninjas and Batman play baseball against eachother?” lol! Little did I know it was going to be a trip to play. I have a request. I know you’ve probably already played and taped this month’s episode of AVGN, so I hope you can do this in September. There was a team-up game on both the Genesis & SNES called Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge. Could you please do a review of this game? If you don’t have a copy you can easily find it on and for super cheap too. I have a copy for the Genesis, but I would want it back of course. The X-Men in the game are Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, and Gambit. For whatever dumb reason Storm doesn’t fly in the game. They gave her two water levels, what the fuck!? It would complete your two earlier reviews of Spider-Man and X-Men games. Thanks, James, I hope you can do this review in the very near future. : )

That wasn’t directed at James. That was directed at tolenekis because he told me that emulators are ok for him (tolenekis) to use to play all games and the he has the entire library for every system. He said that it was because he could not afford the games and that his kids deserved to play them. So I guess it’s not really stealing, it’s just taking things to avoid paying for them. I have EXTREME respect for James and I have no problem with him using an emulator for a short demonstration. However, all of these other butt munches that feel the need to steal THOUSANDS of games that good people actually pay for need to be punished.

I actually have this game! I went to Korea and bought this CD that had like 1299 games I think, and this was one of the games on the CD. I had a freakin great time playing this one.

Emulators in extreme cases are alright. When it comes to games and consoles I can easily come by, I will buy them.

I will build a MAME cabinet someday. I just hope it doesn’t lead to a divorce.

  • August 2, 2011 at 9:12 pm

This game is so fucking sick. I wish they would put this on Xbox Marketplace like James said. I love these types of games.

  • KennyD1988

    August 2, 2011 at 9:21 pm

Haha, I feel the same way…. But I have most of what I need… I also might try to find a cheap gutted cabinet (a few places around me buy/sell arcade machines) and put in my own monitor, repaint, etc. A really good MAME machine will set you back atleast $1000 – $2000 but most of that in in the PC and monitor, which I already have.

On the topic of emulators… I use them but I also am a video game/system collector…. and mainly play my old systems. I feel that if you are modding and pirating new games that is wrong, but the old companies are not making any profit off some games a guy is selling at a flea market or garage sale…. So the only people losing out on emulator use are the ones who sell old games and systems.

    I know that game.
In Korea, we can find that game in almost every stationery store.(I don’t know why, but when I was young, there were three or four games in or it)
So, lots of Korean who watched this video now saying that it brought back old memories.
The only thing which makes me sad is that now I can’t find that game near here. But it was released so well that I think It may be somewhere.

I know a compagny who sells games made by Irem, it is Called, they remaster them and make them Windows 7 compatible, then sells them for a really low price.

send a suggestion there, they answered me they’ll consider it and try to buy the licence if it’s popular enough.

And why did you start talking about this HERE, then, if it was unrelated? I agree that using save states are bull, but emulation is something I do support. Most games (but not all, with the addition of Virtual Console and such things) we’re able to emulate today are long-since discontinued. If this is a moral issue, then I can’t say I agree; no matter what, the money we spend on a used game aren’t going to the companies. Hm… When we do buy them from companies – again, Virtual Console and such – we don’t get actual copies anyway. You mentioned being a collector; do you not care whether or not a company gets money? Is this more about you thinking actually owning something is cool? If that’s just the case, how does it matter to you if OTHERS don’t really own a game? Doesn’t it just make YOU feel better for doing so? I prefer it too, and I’m gonna start building up my (for instance) NES collection not far from now, but I still emulate what I don’t have until then. I will probably always emulate the rarities, though. Or get reproduction cartridges.

Sorry for telling you to fuck off and ask you to headbutt a wall.

Your expression is frickin’ priceless! This game looks pretty sweet, kinda like ‘TMNT: Turtles in Time’. I agree that this game should be released on XBLA, but I also think Wii and PS3 owners should have the chance to exprience the awesomeness that is this game as well. It’s just gotta be done, man!

I’m glad you found your way to this game, James! I did a couple years ago, and it is really life-changing… one of the slickest beat ’em ups ever. I try to get everyone I know to play it.

I will side with you in any petition to bring NINJA BASEBALL BATMAN to Xbox Live Arcade.

  • August 4, 2011 at 9:16 pm

How did you miss the tanuki statues, James? They have balls on them. I am not kidding: those are balls. Look up tanuki; fictional depictions of tanuki generally have big balls ’cause, well, that’s the traditional mythology (and real-life tanuki do have big balls).

Wanna talk obscure beat-em-ups with unmistakable atmosphere? Look up “DJ Boy”… imagine walking by this son of a bitch at a Pancho’s Mexican Buffet in the 90s of all places. – This is some gameplay from the arcade version. Skip ahead to 3:22 to see the fat black Aunt Jemima lady lift up her skirt and blow a fart as her special attack… just sayin’.

This has to come out on a home console OR Xbox live…

Thank you so much for saying the Xbox is not a console. ๐Ÿ˜›

Xbox is a red ring of hemorrhoids…

And btw… James, plz play something on an emulator.

You ALLWAYS sound like emulators are something bad.

Sometimes it even sounds like you think “emulator = cheating”

Using an Emulator is as much cheating as when you put in your Game Genie and dont enter a code. ๐Ÿ˜›

You could cheat, but you dont… *cough* never would…

There even is an awesome Zelda – Snes remake witch is partially based on glitches.

Most Zelda or Mario remakes are totaly worth trying them with an emulator.

@googlejustsucks there is some episode he said he is not gonna use emulator because he want to show us as he actually played it… and down side of the emulator is sometimes rom files are screwed up and just sharing on the internet too . some actually have a virus with it..and i know most of the roms are working fine but it doest compatible perfect with program itself and eventhough it saids its a same game but rom version is different and gliches up too.. i know emulators and some good side too. but. it just doesnt feel right

If really James were worried about the makers of this game to receive the money and the prestige they deserved, he didnt say a word about XBOX LIVE. Thats just make Micro$oft pockets gets bigger and a low commission for the game makers. STEAM looks a better plataform for indies and old jewels like this, but for some reason I guess James doesnt like PC GAMERS to much. In other video he said PC gamers are people who play all the games in a keyboard close to the tv. Thats a myth cause you can use every single controller made ever in a PC, even a Pong Joystick if you want, besides theres a lot of joysticks for pc, some of them wireless. And you can connect a PC to a old fat tv or a new HD screen. Obviously this game is fully playable on MAME, I expect dont get banned for not being so selfish to keep this jewel just for me. And using a emulator is not equal of cheating, simple we have no time and not enough money like others to have all that consoles, even if we want to.

  • January 8, 2013 at 10:28 pm

In one single video, AVGN has revealed his true allegiance in the console wars. Note he said Xbox live and not PSN or Eshop?

And yea, best episode in awhile. This is what the AVGN has been missing. The simplicity. I think you got caught up trying to make every video some kind of directorial masterpiece and lost touch with what made the originals special. You don’t need to spend a month working on every episode of AVGN, just setup a camera in front of you as you rant about some game that just pissed you off.
