A note about Board James

James / May 23rd, 2011

Tomorrow, I am posting a new Board James episode for Turtle Tuesday. It was done without a script, so don’t expect anything huge for a comeback. It’s been since last September when I’ve had time to make an episode. I actually did shoot a few more episodes recently that I think are pretty funny, but it’ll probably be a few more months before they’re all edited and ready to go. For now, I have a new episode tomorrow to fill the void in the long absence of Board James. I have a huge list of board games I want to review and am looking forward to making new episodes. I really wish I had more time to make them. The series sat on the back burner for way too long. It’s time to resurrect it from the dead.

Every time you say that something’s not gonna be special or huge, we get something awesome. 🙂

    Allright, Board James is great.

@killkeck: Grow up friend. Just because someone doesn’t like a particular video (I guess you are referring to the comments on the last YKWBS) doesn’t mean he`s bitching and crying.

  • May 23, 2011 at 6:22 am

Non script videos are more funny because they’re more natural. It doesn’t feel like you’re reading off some card or something.

  • May 23, 2011 at 6:57 am

I think that it’s great that you seem to enjoy Board James as much as we do, James 🙂 Looking forward to the new episode!

  • May 23, 2011 at 7:16 am

@2007: Sadly, I’m sure I’m more grown up than you. I am referring to any complainer. But I’m glad we’re friends. You want to hang-out later? I still have Fireball Island.

Maybe you are. But I don’t understand why you insult people who do not each and every video on this site?

Sure, the videos are free. Does that mean no one is allowed to say he or she prefers a different style of video? If anything, when he or she makes the effort to say that it shows that he or she cares. It is just legit critique, not a personal insult.

I found the last YKWBS to be a bit unenthusiastic and prefer the scripted ones. So what?
And if James really really dislikes my opinion, I’m pretty sure he can defend himself. He, too, is grown up I think 🙂

@PaulW: there sure are! I have one of the old ones myself. I believe the point of that game is to create a pizzaslice with ingredients but you mustn’t get the fly or something.

I hope it’s okay with you, that he does what he wants to do with his life. Not pleasing you through his talent, till you’re not satisfied in the long run and critique him for losing his touch.

  • May 23, 2011 at 2:34 pm

James, you’ve been putting out a video every day it seems man. I know most people only know you as the Nerd but for us fans of everything else too this is a pleasant change.

  • May 23, 2011 at 3:35 pm

In case it isn’t already on your list, I’d REALLY like to see you review Risk.

Oh, the ways Motherfucker Mike could cheat…

  • May 23, 2011 at 3:36 pm

I noticed you had “Key to the Kingdom” board game in your game pile from one of your previous videos. It;s probably was one of the most obscure & underrated games from the 90’s.

I’m 23. I have played that game hundreds of times, yet time & time again, I bring people my age over & no one has ever heard of that game ha.

It’s basically like a dungeons & dragons game, but much more simple & the die controlling the game. You travel around the HUGE Kingdom trying to find the Key to the Ki ngdom in order to escape.

I would highly recommend this game to anyone that want’s a great game to play with a bunch of people or even just a few friends. You just don’t find games like this anymore. If you happen to come across this game, I would buy it, it’s a treasure!

There are a few videos on Youtube of people doing review style documentary on this game. Check it out! It’s a great game!

Sounds awesome James! I love it when you do unscripted videos. Just to see everyday James. Can’t wait.

If the game is that awful “Pizza Power” TMNT game then we are in for a treat. I remember you had to flip the dice on this little flipper instead of just rolling them like every other game ever made. Horrible game!

  • May 24, 2011 at 4:48 am

Hey James, good work man. Your unscripted reviews are great man. You should totally review the Donkey Kong board game…in fact any video game tie in board game would be cool.
