James / February 1st, 2011
OZZY OSBOURNE (CD store signing, 2001. Last polaroid I ever had.)
DAVID EMGE (“Fly Boy” from Dawn of the Dead)
February 23, 2011 at 10:25 am
Wow those guys were lucky to meet you!
February 23, 2011 at 4:21 pm
man you look totally different in that ozzy photo.
February 23, 2011 at 6:52 pm
You look pretty terrified next to Ozzy
February 23, 2011 at 10:40 pm
Hey James, I think you should give us a little bit of story behind each of the pictures. I always like to hear people’s experiences with meeting famous people, especially horror icons.
February 25, 2011 at 2:37 am
Ferris Bueller smile in the Sid Haig pic ;D
February 26, 2011 at 6:11 am
I don’t think James is fat now. More like he was too skinny back then and now he’s kind of normal. 😀
February 28, 2011 at 6:28 pm
Lol, you’re such a badass in the Jerry Springer picture.
March 1, 2011 at 12:58 pm
LOL at ending this collage of celebrity photos with Jerry Springer. Please explain this pic.
March 1, 2011 at 4:26 pm
I am most jealous of you meeting Sid Haig!
March 3, 2011 at 2:45 pm
Wow, all those celebrities are pretty doggamned lucky. They got to meet the Fuckin’ Nerd! If I had a choice of going to a party with all those celebs or chillin with James at his crib, I’d choose to throw down with Mr. Rolfe.
He has gotten bulkier as the years have progressed. At the very end of his Simpsons game review when he eats his shorts it looks like he has a bit of a six pack in his abs.
March 4, 2011 at 12:28 pm
Awesome pix James! Sid Haig aka Capt Spaulding especially!! Love to read or hear a small blurb on each of your pictures. 🙂
March 4, 2011 at 3:34 pm
Hey James, which left you most starstruck? You were what, 17 or 18 with Ozzy there, probably more shock than awe. I bet meeting Ernie was probably pretty cool for you.
@s.u.p-e-rc.ai.n lol, it’s called getting older. Once you turn 30, it happens to us all; unless you stay on a treadmill and workout for 8 hours a day, that slim teenage body you once took for granted fades away, and suddenly a doughnut actually DOES go directly to your ass.
He looks like a normal adult now, I assume you’re still a teenager so your ‘normal’ is scrawny 🙂
March 6, 2011 at 7:52 pm
Thanks for commenting. like I just read from Analbag (great name) is true. When you get older, your metabolism slows down.
The celebs were pretty friendly. Ozzy though, well he just stares off into space. I met him again recently for a book signing, and he was the same way. And yes I was terrified, because it was fuckin’ Ozzy!
Many signings I regret never taking a camera. (Rob Zombie for example) and that was when he had dreadlocks. Geezer Butler was one I remember who was very nice. Tony Iommi on the other hand was kind of distant.
George Romero was very friendly. So was Ernie Hudson and all the rest. Lloyd Kaufman was funny.
Sid Haig asked me if he wanted to write a movie line of his on the autograph and I thought “Shit the bed” but was timid to say it. So I just said whatever. He wrote “Shit the bed” as if he was psychic.
My camera broke right before Wes Craven, so somebody else in line got the pic for me. I always think of that whenever somebody is trying to get a picture with me, and their camera breaks. It happens all the time and I recognize that same panic and I just tell’em “it’s okay” because I know the feeling.

I am at the height of jealousy!! But the two in particular I am most jealous of you meeting, are George A. Romero, and Tom Savini (I say whilst wearing my Dawn of The Dead T-shirt). Legendary Director! Legendary artist/actor!

November 3, 2011 at 7:56 pm
Whoa, that’s cool you met Ozzy! When I met Alice Cooper I had him sign my Monster Dog vhs.
John Landis called me a Cheap Bastard when I threw change into his Planned Parenthood jar. I asked him to sign that onto my Michael Jackson’s Thriller laserdisc but he didn’t.
Every time I see Romero (my hero) not only do I still get nervous after seeing him about 3 or 4 times but I always tell him how much I love Knightriders.
December 1, 2011 at 7:18 pm
I didn’t think it was possible for me to be any more envious of you than I previously was.
December 28, 2011 at 1:54 am
well, us in Chesterfield will get Elton John in summer 2012 or something, whilst you actually met Wes Craven, John Landis and Ernie hudson. everybody whose ever posted a comment on this site will never be that lucky.

February 18, 2012 at 10:46 pm
I’d be more starstruck meeting Tom Savini than I would be meeting most A-list actors
February 22, 2012 at 6:10 pm
Polariod? what is a Polariod?
March 17, 2012 at 8:50 pm
It’s spelled Polaroid, they aren’t relevent anymore. It was an instant photograph from back before people had digital cameras. You would take a picture and specially treated photograph paper would be exposed, and pop out of the camera, and it would develop itself in broad daylight while you held it in your hand (and usually shook it as if it would make it develop faster)
February 26, 2012 at 3:47 pm
Tom Savini. O_O I’d actually die.
February 26, 2012 at 6:24 pm
Why do I never meet people like that? My dad met Patrick Stewart, Sean Connery, Christopher Lee and one of my school friends shared a hot tub with Emma Watson. JEALOUS AS FUCK!

Nerd fan for years – in the last month started watching many, many episodes, becoming a big fan of “James” and Cinemassacre, not just the nerd.
So, for no reason, out of the blue, I started watching JASON, OF STAR COMMAND on Netflix, just a few days ago. Then I visit here, and see you have a picture with Sid Haig!! Hanging out with Dragos!? Bad-ass.
Can’t wait for the movie – digital distribution, DVD, whatever… I’m on board to support James and co.!
January 20, 2013 at 4:14 am
