    October 31, 2010 at 3:42 am

    Great Review James
You totally redeemed yourself at the end, it was really cool, the movie seems really interesting,
I have to say my favorite part is the skeleton and the monster The skeleton made me laugh so much the way he spoke, the voice he had, LOL
Also Animala, the Cat girl, Looks HOT as HELL, and not only the way she looks, but the way she moves, that alone makes me want to rent the movie,
it looks like a really cool movie based on the 50’s and IF YOU like it, It must be really Good,

Well, No Killer Klowns and no Trick r Treat πŸ™ :'(
Very, very ,very sad about that, makes me very sad,
But, GREAT MONSTER MADNESS, you are one of my favorite comedians, even if you don’t consider yourself one, To me you are hilarious, making me laugh so much,
your videos are really Great James, I don’t know if you ever read comments, but, if you ever do, Thank you so much for taking the time to make all these videos, you don’t know how awesome they are,
they feel like x-mas, every morning i kept waiting to see what video was next.

Hope to see some more of your wonderful videos πŸ™‚

  • October 31, 2010 at 3:42 am

A 2000’s movie done in an older style? Reminds me of “The Call of Cthulhu”, which was done in a 1920’s style but was made in 2005.

  • WhtevrHpnd2Mary

    October 31, 2010 at 3:48 am

    @ WOAH the TROLL
I dont think James need your dumbass spaming his comments just to get a high comment count, he gets that just by posting a new vid and second why not contribute a little and not spam or drop the first crap…I kno your doing this cus your mom never loved you or you were doped on your head but really the trolling is just gay.

πŸ˜€ this movie looks awesome πŸ˜€

Do you guys know a movie, where people on a spaceship are drifting in space, they found a skeleton and they take it. And they also find an abandoned alien ship or something where there are a lot of egg look like a football ball (american football, not soccer). They take it together and place in an examination room where the examination robotic arm gets pulled off and the football ball builds up a body of it including the skeleton. I’d really love to find that movie, please help!
Write at [email protected] if you know this movie. Thank you!

    Happy halloween, James!

  • October 31, 2010 at 5:28 am

An awesome film to finish this year’s marathon because it goes back to the old style of horror, making it a complete circle.

Thank you Cinemassacre for entertaining us and educating us for the whole month. Have a great Halloween!

    October 31, 2010 at 7:49 am

You did a great job, James!

If you will do the theme “shitty horror movies” a second time, then you have to review these cheesy films from the documentary THE 50 WORST MOVIES EVER MADE (my notes stand behind the year):

    THE APE (1940): E
MESA OF LOST WOMEN (1953): E-
    VOODOO WOMAN (1957): E+
    TEENAGE ZOMBIES (1959): E-
    EEGAH! (1962): E-
SPIDER BABY (1968): C- [ItΒ΄s the only horror flick that was okay!]
    TROG (1970): D-
GREAT WHITE a.k.a. THE LAST SHARK (1981): E
    GALAXY OF TERROR (1981): D

If you review good horror movies in the next year, then donΒ΄t forget BEETLEJUICE and THE ADDAMS FAMILY 1 & 2! And if you wanna do a review of the last century, then make a mixed-up of good and bad movies (especially the remakes of japanese horror)!

  • pancake1979

    October 31, 2010 at 7:58 am

Thank you James for the great work. Every day this month I couldn’t wait to see the daily Monster Madness. Happy Halloween everyone.

  • AtomicOrangutan

    October 31, 2010 at 8:08 am

OMG i saw this in theaters!!! I was hoping you would review it! It has to be one of the campiest horror movies out there, even though I m pretty sure its a spoof of the genre. Awesome man! This was a great Monster Madness this year!

  • WatchmenFTW

    October 31, 2010 at 8:20 am

I thought you would’ve done something a little different for youyr last review James, like a really campy recent horror film like Pirahna or something. Ah well, this review was great too. I can’t wait for next years Monster Madness.
Speaking of which, I have two ideas you could use James for next year, you could have a Monster Madness: Remake-A-Thon, where you review the remakes of classic horror films like the Platinum Dunes remakes or the Universal Monster remakes.
Or the 2nd idea is just an ordinary Monster Madness but with some movies I thought would be good.

    1931-Island of Lost Souls
    1932-Murders in the Rue Morgue
    1932-The Mask of Fu-Manchu
    1936-The Invisible Ray
    1942-The Corpse Vanishes
    1943-I Walked with a Zombie
    1957-I Was a Teenage Werewolf
1959-Hammer Mummy series (although you’ve talked about the Hammer Dracula and Frankenstein already, I don’t think you’ve talked a lot about the Mummy series).
    1960-13 Ghosts
    1963-The Birds
1964-The Last Man on Earth (you could also briefly bring up the later remakes, like The Omega Man and I Am Legend).
    1969-The Astro-Zombies
    1971-Blood on Satan’s Claw
    1972-Last House on the Left
    1973-The Crazies
    1975-Rocky Horror Picture Show
    1979-The Amityville Horror
    1980-The Fog
    1980-Prom Night
    1985-Day of the Dead
1987-Predator (It may be morw action/sci-fi than sci-f/horror, but I think it deserves a Monster Madness).
    1990-The Exorcist III
    1991-Silence of the Lambs
    2002-The Ring

    great job this year πŸ˜€

  • October 31, 2010 at 8:42 am

Loved the list and appreciate the time and effort. Having said that I have one little suggestion, get rid of number 30 and replace it with Killer Clowns from Outer Space. I think it fits with the theme this year better. Great job as always.

  • October 31, 2010 at 8:44 am

    Sorry not 30 i meant 28.

  • Attack of the n00b

    October 31, 2010 at 9:24 am

  • October 31, 2010 at 9:33 am

Great lineup of Monster Madness this year. Yes skeletons are the best. Army of Darkness was one of the best movies to use skeletons as featured monsters. Happy Halloween!

Oh, you miserable bags of bones, pick yourselves up and sally fo . . . sally fo . . . sally forth!

  • October 31, 2010 at 9:39 am

    Happy Halloween, Cinemassacre!

The scientists in this film are so into science, they would make Dr. Insano jealous. …SCIENCE!!!

Hey, James, I have a recomendation of a horror film you might like to review for Monster Madness 2011: “The Blair Witch Project.” I think this’ll work out perfectly, because it’s about three film students, and YOU took film classes. Just think about it for the next 334 days. =)

  • October 31, 2010 at 10:53 am

YES! The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra! I’ve loved this movie for YEARS! My favorite part (apart from the hotness that is Animala) is the “horrible mutilations” conversation.

I think the same group did another movie like this called The Trail of the Screaming Forehead or something, but I’ve yet to track that down…

    Oh well. πŸ˜‰

  • October 31, 2010 at 11:01 am

I remember seeing a trailer for this on the Godzilla DVD’s.

I didn’t think it actually existed.

  • October 31, 2010 at 11:03 am

Happy Halloween to everyone, and another great Monster Madness James!! I had a lot of fun watching these every day. You have a fantastic way of giving a new perspective on films I otherwise would pass up because of general word of mouth or whatever reputation the film has. Thanks man.

Man, I thought when it was announced that this year Monster Madness would be all cult classics that we’d get to see a review on the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I guess it must not quite count as a “horror” film.

  • October 31, 2010 at 1:01 pm

When he said the skeleton was the “bare bones” of horror, I literally facepalmed 5 times. Oh, and the ending was fantastic.

Been a good run, but waiting another year will be torturous. FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK!

*sniffles and cries like a little bitch*

  • October 31, 2010 at 1:05 pm

Watched all 31 days of Monster Madness and was very much entertained.

Funny that you end with “Lost Skeleton of Cadavra” as that is the only one of the 35 or so movies you talked about that I’ve actually seen.

Happy Halloween! Great final movie! This one looks a lot of fun, I’d love to check it out someday.

It takes a great actor to look like a bad actor who’s really trying lol

  • November 1, 2010 at 2:09 am

That was a good season finale. Kudos to you. I’ll no doubt miss these daily reviews. What a treat they were. By the by…as a rule of thumb… Skeletons + xylophone music = spooky. πŸ™‚ Not that it matters now that Halloween is over, but a skeleton without his xylophone is like an octopus without his bagpipes. Whatever that means. πŸ™‚ Here’s hoping for some Christmas Capers, Nerd style πŸ™‚

    November 1, 2010 at 5:18 am

GOD I loved this movie. I found it years ago when it was first released, and the commentary track was awesome as well. These guys really put a lot of thought into making a great bad movie, even coming up with backstories for the “actors” playing the “roles” they were in so as to find the right hammy portrayal. It was great.

I can’t wait for next years Monster Madness! I’m hoping for a Hammer Horror theme and maybe you could review some other movies starring Hammer stars Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing like “Horror Express”, “The Wicker Man” or “House of the Long Shadows” wich stars Cushing, Lee, Vincent Price and John Carradine all in the same movie. I’m pretty sure you have seen that one James πŸ™‚

Same comment as those below me, I really loved Monster Madness – in fact you could say it rekindled my adolescent love for horror movies. I’ve had kind of a busy/shitty October, and didn’t really have a chance for a cool halloween, but all your videos got me in the spirit of things.

Be sure to do this sort of stuff again, man. It’s awesome.

Well, well… we finally come to the close of good’ ole Monster Madness, and Camp Cult! Have not heard of this “Lost Skeleton of Cadavra”… an homage/joke to old b-horror movies… interesting find and thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Do find it funny that you’d actually be scared by your skeleton at the end! Good stuff James, had a great time, thanks for another great year of Monster Madness! πŸ™‚

    November 11, 2010 at 12:59 pm

i know is about movies ‘n’ stuff, but what about some kind of crossover between “Monster Madness” and “angry videogame nerd” Reviews the next year? you know, to check games like “Resident Evil” or “Silent Hill”, i mean the first silent hill game story actually feels like an early 90’s movie, and it’s far way better than the real movie “welcome to silent hill”…

    greetings from Puebla, Mexico

Well, “Monster Madness 2010″is over now,but I really look forward to next season, especially “Exorcist III”.James did a good job on reviewing “Exorcist II:The Heretic”and other “fatastic” films like “Fiend Without a Face””Infra-Man””Fright Night”and so on.Even though I live in China,I’ve seen a huge amount of Hollywood movies. Not only the latests, but also these classics.I couldn’t agree with James more about his opinion of “Exorcist II”—-It’s just too”Inventive”
BTW,James.I think if you gonna do the next”M-Madness” season in the future,I recommand to you a Japanese(Of course,It was made by TOHO)horror cult flick,It was called”HOUSE”,directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi in 1977.

can anybody help me, the monster madness 2010 videos don’t work along with someothers on the site. The ad just plays the audio over a black screen and the nothing after that. also the newer episodes work fine it is just the some of the older ones.

    • October 31, 2013 at 11:15 am

Some vids will only play correctly if HD is off. Every once in a while a vid is completely unavailable. I have seen these on occasion and they usually get fixed relatively quickly. But those are the only problems I’ve ever had and they seem rare. I should know, I’ve watched everything on this site lol. If the vid never gets fixed, I’d go to the top right, scroll over the site button. Click contact and there is a list of options that may help you fix it, if the problem is on your end anyway. If it’s the site, then that page will also help you contact someone to get it fixed. Hope that helps.

A cheesy monster fighting a cheap looking skeleton. It seems real corpses got more expensive since Poltergeist (even James’ skeleton looks better in his Sega commercial)

The other scientist was in an episode of The Shield as a guy who molested his daughter, and now feels really bad about it.

  • gutterboy

    October 30, 2013 at 12:47 am

When a skeleton calls you an idiot, it’s time to hang it up.

  • October 31, 2013 at 11:02 am

This scientist sounds retarded. Like he wishes he could be spock. And the movie looks mcguffin-tastic. And cadavra? You mean cadaver? cadaver means dead body and a skeleton is a dead body. So does that make he title the ‘lost dead body of dead body”? Or is cadavra a place? Maybe translated it means dead body-land, dead body-ville, dead bodia perhaps. In any case, wow.

The skeleton in the end… looks like he is jerkin off, beating his invisible penis with his left hand.. I don’t know why, but that thought just appeared the second I saw it ^^
