October 15, 2010 at 3:11 am
Mr Bemis !!!
October 15, 2010 at 3:13 am
wow these videos pop-up here in a quite fast pace!!
Holy Crap!!! Is that the Suspira theme during the lasers scene?
October 15, 2010 at 3:21 am
James should post a video that is just 3 minutes of nothingness and see how many people post “First! Awesome video! So funny!”.
This seems like the perfect video to follow up Infra-Man and Exorcist 2. Almost like a hybrid between the two.
YOUR MOTHER SUCKS COCKS IN BOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!!!!~&##$(#*(#
October 15, 2010 at 3:29 am
Quite a find? I found a piece of shit on my living room floor after getting a puppy, should i get my friend to come over and have a look as well?
October 15, 2010 at 3:39 am
Kinda surprised you didn’t mention the guy was played by TONY CURTIS James. Did you miss that or did you feel better not to mention it considering he recently passed away?
October 15, 2010 at 3:42 am
Here is some great info about this book and movie:
October 15, 2010 at 3:45 am
Yeah, that’s Goblin’s Suspiria theme during the laser light show scenes. One of the best horror/experimental soundtracks ever made imo.
Huge Goblin/Argento fan…
October 15, 2010 at 3:53 am
WTF were they smoking when they made this…
October 15, 2010 at 3:58 am
The Manitou looks like Tommy Wiseau..
“Oh hai Nerd. Yeah I is just growing outta this lady’s back huh. Now I’m a scary ghost lizard.. Hai doggie.”
October 15, 2010 at 4:06 am
Dammit this flick would have been great on MST3K!
October 15, 2010 at 4:22 am
my dad watched this movie when i was little, and i remember being more scared by this mind fuck then the exorcist. i live in colorado and here we have a town called manitou. most locals pronounce it man-it-to, but it is a native american word, we are probably just saying it incorrectly
October 15, 2010 at 4:57 am
I don’t think that my friends would want to see this movie…
October 15, 2010 at 5:09 am
the ghost seems (in the picture) that its coming out of her ass
October 15, 2010 at 5:24 am
I always hate it, when actors, who could have made a bad movie fun, have few scenes where they don’t do shit. Same with Bruce Campbell in Congo.
Anyway, great review. Movies on Acid seem to be a theme this year ^^
October 15, 2010 at 5:37 am
Is the demon played by Tommy Wiseau?
October 15, 2010 at 6:10 am
The Playstation Store is having a halloween sale, 1 free horror movie every saturday, and first one is (you guessed it) Dracula. This Month is gonna be awesome!!
October 15, 2010 at 6:14 am
Never heard of this one. Looks pretty good. What’s with the mustache?
October 15, 2010 at 6:25 am
Oh hi Doku !
Strange looking movie. BY strange i mean WTF?
October 15, 2010 at 6:29 am
Oh. My. God.
During summer vacation as a kid one school year I woke up in the middle of the night having left the TV on. I was really tired so I kept nodding in and out but this movie was totally on.
I first saw it during the exorcism scene and faded in and out with my eyes half squinted and at times terrified (I was like 10) and at times not because I couldn’t tell what was going on or what type of movie this even not.
Either way, I’ve tried explaining this movie to people before in the hopes that someone would know what it was. Imagine me trying to explain it to someone from what was probably an edited version (I don’t remember the nurse’s head breaking the window for example) and from.. the source I was given. I hadn’t seen any part before the exorcism and sure as hell didn’t know what an exorcism even was if I HAD known what was going on.
But yeah, seeing the rest of this video, I had no idea that this was even the movie I saw until the last 3/4ths of it which just reinforces the things James said about it.
I would have NEVER found out but THANK YOU James for finally closing this little yet prevalent wonder from my young mind.
There remains only one movie that I can think of that I haven’t found out what it is now at this point. Another one that bothered me for years was a movie that I only saw part of for fear of my Grandma seeing that I was watching a movie where there were boobs. It turned out years later when I explained the scene as “they were in an ice cave and changing clothes and then some stuff happened and they were out in like a decaying Roman or Greek city..” that someone interrupted and said it was Logan’s Run, a movie that my Dad had mentioned a lot and I at least knew was a well known sci-fi film.
I’ll have to explain the scenes I remember from this other movie one time. I don’t think I can handle another answer to one of my greatest unfilled depths of a memory so soon.
October 15, 2010 at 6:33 am
yes ASC1980 this mindfuck stole the suspiria theme.
October 15, 2010 at 6:55 am
2nd XD Great job with this ,i actually happened to watch this a while ago and what James says pretty much sums it all up.
October 15, 2010 at 7:18 am
James, what about one of the greatest horror movie – EVIL DEAD II?
Sam Raimi plus Bruce Campbel!
October 15, 2010 at 8:22 am
am i hearing goblins soundtrack for suspiria in the background?
October 15, 2010 at 9:36 am
I actually read all Manitou books when I was a kid they weren’t that bad. I actually read pretty much all Graham Masterton’s books at that time. My favorite one was the one at the old psychiatric hospital.
October 15, 2010 at 9:43 am
Really, the fetus thing reminds me of Tommy Wusoe..
October 15, 2010 at 10:04 am

This looks crazy and awesome and even more crazy!!!
But what’s up with the Suspiria soundtrack?
Aw man, we missed out Ape! The one with the giant gorilla flipping the camera a chopper! Ah well, maybe some other year.
Great review anyway, James. Great to look forward to something new every day from you until October is out.
October 15, 2010 at 10:35 am
Hi there James, first off big fan of your work. Second, have you been following the recent trial in Montreal, Canada about a special-effects artist by the name of Remy Couture. He has been working on horror videos for his website, which has been shut down for now due to the trial going on. He was charged with moral corruption and distributing obscene material on his website, which is the horror movies he put onto his website.
October 15, 2010 at 10:37 am
You should review “graveyard shift”, talk about crappy.
October 15, 2010 at 12:12 pm
Poor Tony Curtis (RIP) for having to be in such a piece of shit.
October 15, 2010 at 12:24 pm
This film looks AMAZING. Thank you for doing campy stuff this year, I’ve loved every minute of it.
October 15, 2010 at 12:53 pm
This movie must be Ken Russell’s wet dream. Well, at least with his movies, they tell you when people are on drugs.
October 15, 2010 at 12:54 pm
what weird movie… O_o
reminds me hellriser somehow.
October 15, 2010 at 2:43 pm
@Jaro “Really, the fetus thing reminds me of Tommy Wusoe..”
I’m tearing you apart, Lisa!
October 15, 2010 at 2:55 pm

October 15, 2010 at 2:57 pm

October 15, 2010 at 3:05 pm
That looks like an.. um… interesting movie.
October 15, 2010 at 3:22 pm

October 15, 2010 at 3:39 pm

October 15, 2010 at 5:09 pm
Someday, some one is going to make a movie simply called “MindFuck”.
And it might probably be less than or equal to This movie in WTF-ocity.
October 15, 2010 at 5:26 pm
Did that seance scene remind anyone else of Drag Me To Hell? I wonder if Sam Raimi was specifically referencing The Manitou…
October 15, 2010 at 5:27 pm
Colonel Sanders just joined the movie @ 1:50
October 15, 2010 at 5:45 pm

October 15, 2010 at 7:12 pm
YAY! Another acid trip for me to check out!
October 15, 2010 at 8:39 pm
wow this really does rate a 10 on the WTF scale
October 15, 2010 at 9:18 pm
Just to recap, yesterday one of your fans sounded like a rabid Peter Lorre. Today, it sounds like Jeff Dunham’s puppet, Bubba J. Quite the fanbase you got, James.
As for The Manitou, it definitely deserves rank 10 on the WTF scale.
October 15, 2010 at 9:56 pm
wtf? this movie ripped off the music from suspiria!
October 15, 2010 at 10:20 pm
This is pretty cool in that I never thought there was ever a horror movie based on the Ojibway “Great Creater”/”Great Mystery” by the same name. Manitou in this movie is represented as a demonic shaman it seems, while the actual understanding of Manitou is that it is essentially God. I wonder how much fact is in the movie, as the trippy space-like ending looks familiar.
October 15, 2010 at 10:45 pm
ROFL ! This one is a classic
October 15, 2010 at 11:11 pm
It’s NOT A TUMOR! That made my day.
October 15, 2010 at 11:15 pm
Funny thing, I saw this movie very late at night many yrs back, and yes even then I was like wtf?
October 16, 2010 at 12:20 am
Nothing about Tony Curtiss?!!!! He just passed away. . . I feel like I’m taking CRAZY PILLS!!!
Nerd please don’t let me down again!
October 16, 2010 at 1:27 am

October 16, 2010 at 3:55 am
Movie looks pretty shitty, but nice vid nonetheless.
October 16, 2010 at 10:55 am
hey the manitou looks like…Tommy wiseau
October 16, 2010 at 12:59 pm
I remember seeing the exorcism scene when I was like 5. Since then every couple of years I’d remember it but was too vague on the details to find it.. Now I’ve found it after nearly 25 years. Thank you for filling one of the only gaps in my horror memories.
October 16, 2010 at 3:19 pm
great review James
October 16, 2010 at 7:35 pm
Seems like the director probably did drop some acid while making those final scenes.
October 16, 2010 at 10:32 pm
Lawl At Invisible Piano
October 17, 2010 at 12:42 am
When i first watched this movie and i saw the end i was like WTF is this.
October 17, 2010 at 11:39 am
Music……shamefully stolen. Jeez.
October 17, 2010 at 12:14 pm
Wow! That’s like a 2001 A Space Oddessey-the Exorcist-Amityville-Brainstorm-Poltergeist-Dark Star mash-up. Sehr intressant!
October 17, 2010 at 12:52 pm
can we vote at the end on what is the worst film here? come on James before i do a “boom boom” hehehehe
October 17, 2010 at 1:41 pm
WORST MOVIE EVER!!! Great job James!
October 18, 2010 at 2:31 am
Wow, I wonder if this inspired some Final Fantasy final bosses.
October 18, 2010 at 7:17 am
All I can say again is “BOOM” http://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=17242&ref=65348
October 18, 2010 at 6:51 pm
I saw this movie as a kid and, damn, it blew me away. What a clusterfuck. I wanted to watch it over and over again because the evil shaman was so fucking cool.
October 18, 2010 at 8:22 pm
October 20, 2010 at 2:30 am
I know it seems ridiculous to mention it but I would least like you to mention tony curtis’s death. even though this film was made in his “I don’t give a shit” period. After all he was in the “sweet smell of succ.ess, some like it hot, the vikings, Spartacus and, the defiant ones
October 20, 2010 at 2:46 pm
Wow… another crazy one. I don’t know if you can call it an Exorcist rip-off seeing as how different it is. It’s pretty crazy really! Awesome find. Might have to check it out sometime. I also see that you didn’t tell us how it ultimately ends, heh heh.
October 20, 2010 at 3:19 pm
October 21, 2010 at 7:47 pm
James, why do you have the Suspiria theme playing?
October 25, 2010 at 10:13 pm
I just watched a naked woman shoot lasers out of her hands…How the Adult Film industry has not picked up on this concept baffles me.
October 28, 2010 at 12:19 pm
LSD do so many bad to scriptwriters in the 70’s-80’s XD
February 7, 2011 at 11:31 pm
@RomEmKing; You suck.
February 13, 2011 at 12:02 pm
Apparently the reviewer did not actually watch the movie. Or read the book.
The whole idea is that the sorcerer is kind of a Indian Cthulhu shaman and is trying to open the door to let in his master.
The typewriter, like all things, has a spirit, a manitou. The explosion is the shaman annihilating that spirit. The indian medicine man who is trying to help him realizes he is hopelessly outclassed. He then tries to invoke the manitou of the criminal database computer, a much more powerful manitou that has, as its purpose, protecting people from those who would wish harm on others. But it will not listen, it is a white man’s manitou. The protagonist then calls the police computer up and requests its help. The whole freaky deaky thing was the massive computing power of the machine’s manitou against the indian shaman.
It cannot match the big boss but it fries the shaman before he can open the gate
By the way, I am sure you have heard this before, but read the book, it is much better than the movie. But if you actually paid attention during the movie, you would get a lot more information
February 2, 2012 at 12:01 am
He paid attention during the movie, Thanks for the rude comment though 😛
May 31, 2011 at 3:06 pm
That exploding typewriter must have been a leftover prop from Infra-Man
October 26, 2011 at 10:47 am
i hate this fucking adds on comments!Good video bytheway!
November 6, 2011 at 3:42 pm
Alright, it goes into psychedelic land! I’ll have to give this one a try
September 15, 2012 at 4:01 am
I gotta check this one out! I’m all about acid trips movies!
March 21, 2013 at 5:16 pm
Is the Suspiria soundtrack orininal to the movie or did you, James, put it there?
November 2, 2013 at 11:00 am
Manitou means Great Spirit
November 8, 2013 at 10:35 pm
I prefer Ye’iitsoh from Beyond Two Souls.
January 26, 2017 at 11:06 pm
Holy shit, did The Manitou use music from Suspiria?
