Nightmare on Elm Street documentary

James / April 11th, 2010

For those who remember my segment in the “His Name Was Jason” DVD documentary, Β I will now be appearing on the new Nightmare on Elm Street DVD documentary, “Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy”. Coming soon. I sent them a 5 minute segment where I give my basic impression of the film series and the NES video game. Features clips from the AVGN episode. It’s an honor to be recognized in the horror community.Β See here for more details. And here’s an article about it.

James. I can’t think of anyone who deserves this recognition more than yourself. All the blood, sweat, and tears that you have put into Cinemassacre is paying off in a big way and you should be proud of all that you have accomplished. A few weeks back I was at HorrorHound in Indianapolis talking with none other than Joe Bob Briggs about the technological turn of horror hosts / reviewers online and I brought up your work on Cinemassacre as a key example of someone who knows his shit and how to entertain new and old school fans alike. He told me he was going to give Cinemassacre and look. Whether or not he does, just know that CinemassacreFu has reached the likes of Joe Bob Briggs.

Omg! I said Jason. Im so sorry James! Maybe i was thinking about Jason from the horror movies.

  • April 30, 2010 at 2:45 am

Just got done seeing the remake for the special midnight viewing. It was alright. It would have been better if it stayed a little true to the original script and if Robert Englund had reprised his role as Freddy, but other than that it was pretty good.

  • Jenifer

    May 2, 2010 at 4:50 pm

James u totaly deserve it!! ur the best… =D good for u!

  • Laurent LaSalle

    May 2, 2010 at 11:19 pm

Will you be making a review of the remake for Spike?

  • Mr. Simon

    May 4, 2010 at 3:52 pm

Pretty funny how they show the time in minutes, that’s bullshit if you know what I mean.

But it’s cool that they release this at the time of the new Elm street movie coming out, excited to see the first movie without Robert Englund.

    Congrats James!

  • May 14, 2010 at 10:37 pm

I got the new DVD and it’s great if you’re an old school NES fan. The documentary itself is about 4 hours long not counting all the special features. I wish the AVGN segment was longer.
