Brad Dourif is awesome! I always remember him best in Dune as the Mentat Piter De Vries. So intense.

This looks like a really passionate performance. Have to check this movie out.

I watched a program about Spontaneous Human Combustion and there is actually a guy who believes that there is some sort of new, currently unidentified molecular.. molecule, called Combustons or Igniteons (like protons/neutrons) or something strange like that, that would cause things to self-ignite if these molecules collided. I don’t think that guy would have approved of the flame-throwing phones, though.

To me, Brad Dourif will always be Billy Bibbit from “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, which is why this is such and interesting contrast.
He went from a socially awkward, young kid with a studder to…this. Haa, that’s great.

Kinda like “Firestarter”, but this one seems worse

Thank you for that comment Stage, so many people forget that Brad Dourif was even in One Flew Over the Cockoos Nest. He’s had a great career but nothing beats his portayal as Billy B-B-B-Bibbit hahaha.

Absolutely hated this film.

I first took notice of Brad Dourif in The Frighteners. Then he was in Lord of the Rings. He’s also, as BH said, in One Flew Over the Cockoos Nest. He’s a pretty good actor that guy.
And he’s Chucky?!?! You see him as the criminal in the begining lol

The *BEST* was to describe Brad Dourif is “intense”. The guy *always* gives a really fucking intense performance; he’s amazing in that he has so much passion in his roles. There’s no dialing this guy down, he’s constantly at a “10”, even if you need him at a “2” (at least that’s how he seems to me).

LOL…man…I cracked up when I saw Brad getting pissed off into the phone with some psychotic over the top anger issues. I mean…what a hot head.

I love that scene too! I think Mr Dourif’s performance as a young innocent man is a bit flawed but once the flames start erupting from his body he really shines.

Just finished watching this movie. It’s pretty good; Brad Dourif is good and the effects are…passable. But what I love best is the story which feels like a classic 1950s b-movie plot; evil science experiment, tortured innocent caught in it, a rampage, the destruction of the creator all that good stuff. Some of the acting isn’t the best and the fire effects (what we came for) could have been better but this is still worth a watch.
