I loved the Donald Duck cartoons when I was younger
May 8, 2010 at 11:38 am
Yeah, I suppose in some respects AVGN is like those small cartoons. Just individual sketches. Main plot, todays game to review, with some refrenses back to other games.

Nice Donald Duck impersonation LOL

You guys are my heroes. For serious. Also, I get what it is about 16mm you appreciate. Sure, it’s an archaic pain in the ass, but it’s classically awesome for what it is. I think it’s cool because it’s so different. I agree with the not-digital thing too. The stuff has more purity. I’m not a film expert, but I love the unconventional stuff for the hell of it.

In Canada they have Teletoon Retro. Has tons of great classics. It’s a shame you can’t get it down there guys.
June 11, 2010 at 5:43 am
Yeah here in Quebec, Canada we have a french call teletoon (I think the rest of the canada have the english version I guess) and we still have those comics all the times which is great for the younger generation.
(sorry for the english 😉 )

April 24, 2015 at 11:06 am
it’s: all16mmfilms.com, you can get EVERYTHING EVER from a website. Not only do they sell every film ever made from stock, but they’re cheap, worldwide shipping is free and they hand deliver it within two hours.
(Jeez dude, take a fucking guess, thrift stores, flee markets etc. what else.)
September 23, 2015 at 8:18 pm
I’ll better check it out, because I want these.
September 23, 2015 at 8:23 pm
But sadly, the site no longer exists, try eBay, or Etsy or any site that sells cartoons on 16mm. They also have a collection of Castle Films titles.
September 4, 2010 at 7:16 pm

How the Nerd got out of Hell:
Satan condemns the Nerd to continue playing shitty video games…FOR ETERNITY! Since there is no electricity in Hell, Satan had no choice but to release the Nerd back to his Earthly domicile, to carry out his nightmarish sentence.

July 13, 2011 at 5:03 pm
Remindin’ me of your Tom Savini interview….
September 18, 2011 at 12:11 am
I know they had looney tunes and Tom and Jerry and some of the rest on Cartoon Network until around the late 90s, and then they stopped for a while, and they definitely always played them on Boomerang, but recently they started playing them on Cartoon Network again. Unfortunately they don’t play any of the Fleischer ones or Famous or anything that isn’t Looney Tunes or Tom and Jerry.
January 16, 2012 at 5:47 pm
Luckily nowadays Cartoon Network is showing these classics again!

You know, I had never even thought about how the Nerd had gotten out of hell. Now that I think about it, I like to imagine they kicked him out for profanity and banned him.

I have boomerang!
January 2, 2013 at 6:52 pm
I always thought he got out of hell by playing shitty games in front of the devil so they sent him back.
January 4, 2013 at 8:41 am
Actually, I do recall one episode of Tiny Toon Adventures where Buster, Plucky, and hampton get drunk off their asses off of one beer that they all share. Its not something new but it did come out in the 90’s.
April 28, 2013 at 1:56 pm
i think the nerd challenged the devil to a video game to get out of hell.
September 25, 2013 at 11:13 pm
So just who is the egg-head chasing after Daffy? Is he a process server?
March 15, 2015 at 5:55 pm
After 5 years of talking about cartoons on 16mm, I finally watched these cartoons and I have them on 8mm, but I don’t have a 16mm projector and movies quite yet, as well as the Super 8 projector, but I only have it on Super 8 which is “Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother”. All of my 8mm movies I have are the ComiColor cartoons by Ub Iwerks and it was distributed by Castle Films. I have so many Castle Films cartoons on 8mm and they’re all silent. Woody Woodpecker will be next, and that was later distributed under Castle Films.
March 15, 2015 at 5:58 pm
1:11 is a Woody Woodpecker cartoon “Smoked Hams”. This was also released on 8mm and it was silent and distributed by Castle Films, instead of using the original titles seen here, it was replaced by the Castle Films titles.
May 30, 2015 at 6:24 pm
that opening theme song!
September 23, 2015 at 8:17 pm
That must be the “Donald Duck Song”, and it was from one of the “Mickey Mouse Club” albums.
August 31, 2015 at 12:00 pm
