i have to agree that space godzilla is a stupid name. and that baby godzilla got stupid again, but still not as bad as from godzilla’s revenge.

Man, I loved the 90’s series, solely because Godzilla always looks pissed.

    I can explain the timeline.
In Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, when they sent the dinosaur into the future, he ended up in the ocean. A nuclear sub irradiated him in the late 1970’s. He laid dormant for several years and attacked in 1984, which is why once they “get rid” of Godzilla, the public retains their memories of him. Thus, the events of Godzilla 1984 and Godzilla vs Biollante still occurred, and the reason for Godzilla’s growth in Godzilla vs King Ghidorah was due to them exposing Godzilla to even more radiation.

Its not that there’s two explanations to his origin, its that they’re linked. Biollante didn’t exactly die. It sounds a little messed up, but Biollante contained the soul of the daughter of the doctor who created it. As Biollante is dieing, the girl’s soul takes over and makes the thing disintegrate down to cells when then encircle the earth and make a protective shield. When Mothra leaves earth to go hit the incoming asteroid or whatever, she has to fly through the could of cells. This is how they attach to her and get spread into space. If anything, its probably more likely that they forgot to explain the part about Biollante early on and rushed to put it back in the story later.

Space Godzilla still looked pretty cool… I was hoping Godzilla would’ve used his red atomic breath earlier in the movie. Oh well.

    you also forgot to mention:
originally space godzilla was suppost to be SUPER GODZILLA like the snes game, but due to lack of budget and popularity it was scrapped
the final boss of the game Super Godzilla plus its story was going to be used but like I said, lack of budget

the tail attack reminds me of the Dragon Zord’s tail drill attack from Mighty morphin Power Rangers.. which is fitting given the dragon zord is clearly a based off of Mechagodzilla, who in turn is based on Godzilla
