My father and I have watched this movie and its sequels many times and it holds that nostalgic charm that you generate as a child. Rocky and my father are both underdogs, my dad struggled and worked his way up in his career while raising a family. This is one of my favorite films of all time, if not my favorite.

i finally sat down recently to watch this from start to finish for the first time. prior, id always seen a random part or always caught the end. its a pretty good movie, but the pacing is kind of weird. the part when rocky “seduces” Adrienne is really awkward. it almost feels like rape. then after that, all of a sudden shes all for rocky and more talkitive. out of no where. so that felt kind of weird. but stallone had me laughing when rocky would just keep talking and talking and talking. overall, not bad

So yeah, I’ve never payed attention to these Rocky movies. And man I felt so guilty gor that. This one of best movies ive ever seen, I simply emphatiize with rocky character, the screenplay is awesome and the characters appealing. There’s something tallone made there for ou to understand and read, I don’t how it does, but has enough power to convince you and keep going. Thanks Stallones for this films, an so is the rest of the films that has some personal charm individually

What makes Rocky so good is as simple as it is brilliant: the triumph of heart and kindness over opposition, where (cleverly and convincingly) that heart and kindness is weaponized and manifested in a literal, easy-on-the-eyes conflict (boxing).
This is a movie (series) for optimists.
