WO3 TIMELINE:
FALL 2001: The idea is concieved while drinking with college buddies.
WINTER/SPRING 2002: The script is written and plans for animation begins, using the old fashioned cut-out method: shooting stop-motion, frame by frame underneath a camera.
SUMMER/FALL 2002: The project gets put on halt. Other films get in the way and I still didn't know how to accomplish all the animation.
SUMMER 2003: I purchase my own computer, fine tuning my craft in Adobe Premiere and teaching myself After Effects.
FALL 2003: Characters are designed and few sequences are animated, using Premiere and After Effects. A preview is screened at the Free-For-All Film Festival.
WINTER 2004: Voices are recorded, more characters are designed and more animation is done in After Effects, but this time, the main editing is done in Avid Xpress Pro, my new editing software. An entire scene is finished.
SPRING 2004: As my senior year of college comes near an end, work on my major film "The Jersey Odysseys I: Legend of the Blue Hole" builds to a fever pitch. Wizard of Oz III is put on halt once again.
SUMMER 2004: Life gets in the way.
FALL 2004: Work on "The Deader the Better" begins, a massive project which consumed a year and a half of my life. I get my hands on Apple's Final Cut Pro, the ultimate editing software and learn new ways to animate and make Wizard of Oz III easier.
SPRING/SUMMER 2005: Wizard of Oz III is finally worked on again, this time using Final Cut Pro for most of the animation, using simple motion keyframes. After Effects is still used for some of the more complicated shots. However, The Deader the Better consumes everything left of me and there's no time to devote any bit of side-work to Wizard of Oz III. It's left in the gutter again.
APRIL 2006: With the Deader the Better finally out of the way, I get back to work on Wizard of Oz III, using my new Final Cut skills.
JUNE 2006: After 2 months of intensive editing, I finish the damn movie and nail the coffin on this ancient son-of-a-bitch!!!
