I’d love to see you guys play UN Squadron for SNES. That game was tough and my sister and I spent hours on it!
November 3, 2016 at 3:58 pm
Tough but very very fair and balanced. So much fun! After many years of trial I finally finished it on Hard.

agreed! i think it’s a good game for them to take turns on too.
…that didn’t sound too good, did it?

Mike, do you have any nostalgic ties to the “Hugo the TV troll” franchise? Did they even have that on TV in the US? We’re about the same age, but it may have only been aired in Scandinavia/Europe. Anyway, would be *really* cool if you somehow could get it to run and play it, but it’s sort of weird a custom hardware setup with double Amigas or something. There are some consumer ports, but they aren’t great AFAIK.

Two excellent games with 5 stages that I can think of off the top of my head:
* Operation C (Gameboy)
* Gradius: The Interstellar Assault (Gameboy)
Both Konami, interestingly enough.

Never played – or even heard of – the game, but still getting huge nostalgia from this. I had all the toys, and enemy is this is based on one of them, even down to their poses. I would have loved the hell out of this as a kid. Alas, the original NES wasn’t a big seller in the UK. It was mostly home computers until the 16 bit era, although the Master System sold well enough for a console.

* Every enemy. Damn typos.

I had this game as a kid and still own it. The main reason I wanted the game is because it game with a unique monster in my pocket figure in the box. Anyway, just want to point out that the monsters are not all based on Greek Mythology, there is a “beast” from beauty and the beast, spring heeled jack, bigfoot, coatlicue, karnak, baby yaga, tengu and a t-rex for example. This game is just a big collection of all things monsters.
