    Where the fuck is James?

    • October 21, 2016 at 6:26 am

Stressed and overworking himself with projects and videos.

Talk about games is a show for Ryan and Mike. Enjoy it for what it is or watch something else James made.

I haven’t heard about this until now.
You guys should post more about new consoles and the latest technology, such as VR. I get all my news from here. 😛

Meh. I don’t take devices outside, so the portable aspect for me is useless. I like having a stylus also, finger touchscreens are horrible, sloppy and I hope Switch doesn’t uses it. But my big question is, can someone use the docking system without the tablet? Can both persons play a game locally together using each a screen?

    • October 21, 2016 at 6:05 am

I just hope they don’t screw up with Zelda Breath of the Wild… Because so far it could be awesome or very mediocre.

      • October 21, 2016 at 6:25 am

        And yes, METROID METROID METROID.

    • November 7, 2016 at 9:55 am

If you could use the docking system without the tablet it would be the WiiU again. The tablet IS the console, the docking recharges and transmits the image to the TV. It’s already confirmed that you can’t have dual screen with one Switch, but if a friend also has the console and bring it your home you could play a game locally with two screens.

Meh. Im not excited about it whatsoever. Dont show me developers, show me games. Otherwise, PC for home, cellphone for mobile play.

So much wrong in a sentence. It’s like trying to farm eggs before having a chicken. They will show the games as they are created. Also mobile play is so limited to a few genre and no real good sequels so what’s your point? For me it will always be a PC and Nintendo console because you can’t beat the classics. Have you play any of thoses? Kid Icarus: Uprising
      Super Smash Bros.
      Super Mario 3D Land
      Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
      Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon
      Animal Crossing: New Leaf
      Bravely Default
      Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
      Fire Emblem Awakening

The 3ds lineup was so good, it’s insane. Now we get to enjoy that on 1 single console.

      • October 21, 2016 at 2:35 pm

Sure, I love nintendo too, but geez were their last game cheap or mediocre! Mk8 was cheap, Sm4sh was the worst of the serie, Star Fox Zero incredibly short and unrewarding. They had zero good use of the gamepad. NintendoLand used it, and that was the freaking flag game, Game & Wario at least tried. But the others… Mk8.. horrible.

I can’t reply to your last comment for some reason so I’ll do it here.

Wii U has some awesome release too to be fair :

Donkey Kong Country Returns Tropical Freeze
      Captain Toad
      Super Mario Maker
      Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD
      New Super Mario Bros U
NES remix Pack 1 and 2
      Rayman Legends

      And much more!

Also, my point is by pushing the portable titles into the console, you’ll get an expanded list of good games. We never had a full Pokemon on anything else than a Gameboy/DS/3DS. So much potential if they do it right!

      • October 22, 2016 at 12:03 am

Yeah.. the comment section always glitches! Fingers crossed, still. And yes, Tropical Freeze was magnificent, but short. I’d love to see JMM play it.

Is it just me or it has the look of some kind of military device? A rough and gummy/scratched style.

Nintendo Switch is absolutely a bad idea.
They made a lot of bad choices that, in the long run, won’t do them any good.

    Well, very interesting talk guys.

As you said, where is Metroid? I don’t think we will see any major Metroid games for a while. Nintendo wanted Metroid to evolve and almost become the Halo of Nintendo but the truth is, it’s not a good FPS game. It’s an incredible exploration/adventure game. Those game are not often major console seller even if it’s my favorite type alongs survival games.

Creepy atmosphere, lot’s of powerups and insane level design. Compare it to Call of Duty or Halo and you’ll understand why it should be it’s own thing. Nintendo needs to focus on making a good Metroid game instead of trying to make it something else. We don’t need Samus to have feelings and talk about them, we don’t need a supporting cast. It’s not that type of game, it’s all about been alone on a planet/base and exploring vast maze and defeating enemies.

For me the Switch means making sure the Gameboy/Ds or 3DS future will be playable on my TV or anywhere. This is huge, for a Monster Hunter fan like me, it’s crazy! We’ve been waiting for something like that eversince the PS2 title.
The 3DS was an awesome console, Monster Hunter, Mario games, Yoshi, Luigi Mansion, Rhythm Heaven, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, Kid Icarus and much more! Even Pilotwing!

I need all of that on a console I can carry but also one that I can play at home.

My worries here is, the low tech of the 3DS was helping the games coming out on a lower budget (3D modelisation, Animations and textures were limited) but now all of it will be much more advance making all those titles longer and pricier to create. What we would need for this console is a bunch of cool AAA titles but also some indie support or even pixel games. Steam has a great variety of titles, you can be playing GTA online and then Crypt of the Necrodancer in a flash. Hopefully they will realise that we don’t need HD graphics for everything, I would be so happy to see just another great 2D Metroid game (which could be done with a small team for a low budget now!) or even Nintendo Lands 2.

The system has so much potential, but Nintendo will need to play it smart and to divide which title needs an overhaul and which is just Fan service on a budget or the console will lack titles. They mastered that on the 3DS so let’s hope they continue with the Switch.

lets hope this is the volta core screw pascal also if its the denver chip then its x86 compatible as its a software layer that turns x86 code into its own like the old transmeta cpu but what i hope is that the base itself can hold a upgraded gpu/cpu for 4k res power later on like what ps4 xbox did but without buying a whole new console but the mobile part wont get that but thats ok as 4k mobile gaming isnt a priority

I held off buying a WiiU and then held off buying a PS4 for a reason I guess. Now I know why. I still think NX name sounds better then Switch though and wish they stuck with it. I can’t see it being that powerful in such a small console but I have a feeling you will be able to play android games. It’s can only be as powerful as a tablet or a phone would be from such a slim design. I was hoping for a stay at home console cause I don’t care about bringing games around unless I was on a plane or train. I would of rather a serious console with a controler that had a screen to take on the go at a lesser resolution and less graphics. I also think taking a console on the go would make people get them stollen.

It plays skyrim remastered, it’s not a tablet. Like not at all!

        October 22, 2016 at 10:51 pm

Yeah I seen that but the reason why consoles or PC towers are bigger is because they have more power and need a fan to cool it off. How will this have that much power? It will be interesting if it does have more power then the WiiU that’s all I am saying. Well they already said it isn’t going to be as powerful as a PS4 or Xboxone. But I am just wondering how it will be powerful as the WiiU when that is a full unit and has a graphic card not a graphic chip. I guess we will have to wait and see how it does on launch.

I’m not surprised Metroid is on the back burner after the train wreck that was Other M. Apparently the next game, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, was multiplayer-only, barely even featured Samus, and got bad reviews, so that’s two bad Metroid games in a row. Hopefully they’re taking the time to realize where they went wrong.

      October 22, 2016 at 3:13 pm

Other M was a good game. Not the best but good.
Idiots that like prime (AKA the majority), were pissed they didn’t get anohter prime and since it’s cool to insult what everyone else is insulting, everyone started saying Other M was bad.

Might not have been the best Metroid, but it was more of a Metroid than the piece of shit of prime ever was and could ever be.

They definitly need to release Metroid, but for the love of God, it needs to be a REAL Metroid game, not that Prime shit.

I can’t believe people keep asking for that crap. If you want a space shooter, play Halo. Don’t ruin the game for the rest that actually like Metroid.
