Didn’t Mike review this a couple years ago? This movie’s just too fuckin’ weird for one review.

Yeah. His review was very well done too.

Yeah, Mike was reviewing movies while James was in California shooting the AVGN movie. “House” was one of Mike’s movie picks.

What the hell happened to all those “Motherfucking Mondays” or whatever? I’ve tried to look on the site but I can’t seem to find them. :/

I love this movie. I always thought that “Suspiria” was going to be the weirdest from 1977, then I saw this.

I always call this “Hausu” to make sure no one mistakes this for the 80’s movie.

Damn, I was like, “FUCK YES! HE’S REVIEWING HOUSE!”, but it’s not the 80’s one…

Coincidentally, I just mentioned House (1986) on the previous Oculus review. I have this one on Criterion Blu-ray as well; very strange but artful film. Didn’t you do a separate review of the film ages ago? Regardless, both House films are great to watch during Halloween. Although I wish they’d put House (1986) on Blu-ray.

I saw a screening of this film probably over ten years ago. It is weird as fuck, but in a good way. The only horror film I can think of that comes close to this tonally is Evil Dead 2, but House is even stranger still. I think I have a thing for the character, “kungfu”.

Would love the next WTF movie to be Lair Of The White Worm or Lifeforce.

I’m very disappointed on this last Monster madness, Boring film, yet obscures, sad. Bad way to end what we enjoy so in the last years. I will stop follow this channel…

Great introduction to an incredible movie. Criterion also produced an insightful video essay on House. I highly recommend checking it out: https://vimeo.com/110502648

This is not a good horror film, or a good film for that matter, but it has a really good WTF value, if you are into this kind of thing (as I am), I’d definitely recommend it. Pro-tip: watch it high!
