James and Mike play Layers of Fear!
October 10, 2016 at 2:45 pm
You should play the original Castlevania for october.

Great video. Hope you do some classic Castlevania game next :3

7:20 since when has James had a tattoo?
October 10, 2016 at 4:49 pm
Since the 90’s by the looks of it. Tribal and all.

I remember Mike and Ryan did this last year on Talk About Games.
Can’t wait to see you guys shit all over it. 😛

This was a really fun video. I really enjoyed it.
I love all the visual gags that are inserted afterwards. You guys had a good handle on the game and seemed to really enjoy it. You also didn’t rush through it and I appreciate the longer-than-usual running time. This feels like a game I could really get into. 🙂
If I’m not mistaken, that was just one of multiple endings possible. Looks like it has great replay value.

I really love the longer ones. The nes Jason game is my favorite JMM so far.

Not the glitch goblin! hahaha. For some reason that game makes me think of how awesome an Evil Dead (good) game would be.
October 11, 2016 at 7:05 am
The nice thing about this game is that glitches would just make it creepier.

It’s common that they use the programmers’s photos for in-game photos. Game & Wario on WiiU had an incredibly original interactive credit.
October 10, 2016 at 9:09 pm
I completely forgot about the Amnesia episode.
October 10, 2016 at 11:14 pm
haha pretty trippy. you guys should do more games that are that way.
October 11, 2016 at 12:50 am
thanks keep hating .t.i.
October 11, 2016 at 1:52 am
I can’t believe someone made a reference to the Metallica/Napster fire bad video from like 1998. How obscure is that?
October 11, 2016 at 2:43 am
37 minutes? Damn, this is gonna be good! With this formula of playing modern horror games though, I’m starting to worry you guys aren’t gonna do Demon’s Crest.
October 11, 2016 at 6:17 am
This really makes me wanna see James and Mike play P.T … the ultimate game of this genre but I don’t know if they have access to a copy of it.
October 11, 2016 at 7:12 am
I still wish they made that game. Although this one feels like the spiritual successor to that.
I wonder what other modern horror games J&M are going to delve into this month…

That fucking jumpscare, you MFers got me. Screamed out loud at like 3am. Fuck.
October 11, 2016 at 3:54 pm
I had a literally knee-jerk reaction and scared my cat. Sorry, Lulu.
October 11, 2016 at 3:53 pm
I’ve been meaning to give this one a try ever since i saw a clip of the head banging doll, and the one that runs into the wall… which is pretty hilarious. Now I feel obligated to play it.
October 12, 2016 at 3:17 am
It’d be flipping awesome if you guys played P.T. But alas, unless you guys already have it, you can’t get it. 🙁 Real shame.
October 12, 2016 at 6:01 am
There’s something very scary about finding out, perceiving, somekind of entity that was hanging around you for a while then notices you can see it.
October 12, 2016 at 4:57 pm
was this game like re-done slightly for a halloween thing? cause i do not remember half this stuff happening when i played through it.
October 13, 2016 at 1:27 am
Like they were saying, you can go a lot of different ways so it probably provides unique gameplay depending on where you go.
October 13, 2016 at 9:09 pm
STOP WITH THESE GAMES. IF YOU WANT TO PLAY A GAME THAT WILL SCARE YOU SHITLESS PLAY SLENDER THE ARRIVAL! SLENDER THE ARRIVAL! SLENDER THE ARRIVAL! PLEASEEEEEE BEFORE OCTOBER ENDS!
October 14, 2016 at 1:19 pm

I’ve heard you guys mention Aleister Crowley a few times on your show. Are you familiar with the work of Austin Osman Spare? His paintings are rumored to move on their own and perform looped routines! I couldn’t help but think of this when Mike & Ryan played the beta version and not now either. Thanks for all the entertainment this Halloween season!
