Never heard of that one. Since I’m french, maybe I’ll be a bit more lucky with the versions. Hmph.. a lot of excellent movies just get to be appreciated long after.

Maybe he’s poisoning her to prevent her from becoming a vampire? I don’t know, I have to watch it. Definitely seems interesting.

Only ever seen this movie once before in late 80’s as part of a season of 1930’s horror on tv. It didn’t quite fit in with the Universals being shown.

it’s a great film; got the Masters of Cinema-dvd; like the Criterion dvd, in great condition.

Do you have other old European horror classics like K├Ârkarlen?

I picked this up in the Criterion collection a while ago to add it to my vampire films list, but haven’t gotten around to watching it yet. I will now. Great MM so far, guys…

Hope you do Universal’s Son of Dracula with Lon Chaney jr and Hammer’s Bride’s of Dracula with Peter Cushing. Their both great movies and the only films Iin their respective series that you have yet to review

It’s so weird to see them spelling words different to look cool back then. I thought that was a 90-2000s thing. Makes you think maybe this was really how they were suppose to spell vampire and someone else changed it. But I think it was cause of the guys name it was probably to make it like his name probably. Who knows

I’m lovin’ this year’s Monster Madness. Shame that it has to go away, but at least it’s going out on a good note!
