This is also one of those games where the title screen has a different title than the box.
The title screen calls it “Legend of the Ghost Lion”.

Nerd is making the same face as the guy on the Action in New York cover! Somebody should put the two together!

The blonde female on the cover art of the game reminds me of Tina Yothers from Family Ties.

Dude..I always thought the same thing.

Maybe Tina has something to do with the ridiculous Ghost Lion. Who can tell what the idiots making video games think?

I sure hope the cover art for “John Elway’s Quarterback” on NES will be featured in this series. That game has the worst NES cover art I’ve ever seen.

I’ll give this one to the Nerd… definitely a bad cover. What’s with the girl? Is she going into battle, or is she going for a work out? She could also be the lead singer for an 80’s band. In any case, it’s confused messaging. As the Nerd would say, “What were they thinking”?

Everybody knows the 80s didn’t end until around 1993…

    • December 10, 2015 at 4:35 pm

Any period’s fashion doesn’t just go away, you know. The 80’s fashion were especially flashy and it transitioned over a long period of the 90’s. If you consider all countries though..

Ok, now I’m curious as to what this game is like.

There was also a band called Lions & Ghosts from the 1980’s 🙂

Ghost Lion should be a Spinal Tap album. It would be as classic as Shark Sandwich.

“This is an 80’s metal album cover”. Awesome, couldn’t have said it better myself!

Oh, and there’s a band called “British Lion” formed by Steve Harris (from Iron Maiden). Don’t expect the epicness (it’s a word, trust me) of Iron Maiden though.

Hey! Don’t knock grunge! Grunge was awesome! I was totally into the music and the fashion. Even now grunge still has a small influence on me.

One game have a similar cover is Portal Runner on PS2

  • December 10, 2015 at 11:58 pm

The actual game is a Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest clone, and the girl in the game is much younger than the girl in the box art.

What’s that song playing in the background?
