This game is awesome
October 26, 2015 at 9:23 am
I recently bought this game for snes and it’s a blast! The sequel ghoul patrol wasn’t as good but is still fun to play as well. This is one of those games that screams remake or at least an updated hd release as a downloadable game on Xbox/ps4.
October 26, 2015 at 6:30 pm
you didnt buy it
October 27, 2015 at 12:11 pm
Why would he not have? They are easily attainable online and its a great game. Come off it.
October 26, 2015 at 9:49 am
Thank you J&M for doing this! You’re both awesome.
October 26, 2015 at 9:50 am
I’ve been waiting a long time for y’all to do this one. It’s one of the few SNES games I grew up with
October 26, 2015 at 9:53 am
Wow! This is a great game! I’d always notice the cover when I was a kid, but never thought to rent it. Good to see what I’d missed.
October 26, 2015 at 10:15 am
Always Loved this game, although you fought the baby totally wrong, ON the pyramid level you get these weapons that play music as you use them and a beam flys out. beats the shit out of the baby.
also always made me laugh how the BBQ guy only gives you 5 points but his sausages give you 200 😀
October 28, 2015 at 3:05 am
That way is effective. Although as you see in the video, the game literally gives you all you need with the sodas if you choose not to take that approach. Stand back and throw. Only problem is how hard it is to hit that spastic baby and how the sodas are helpful to conserve later against the graboid worms.
October 26, 2015 at 10:23 am
Fantastic game, I could never get past that Giant baby though. Was always a huge pain in my backside.
October 26, 2015 at 11:30 am
Thanks for doing this game!! One of my all time favorites. I had the sega version. Instead of purple stuff you get blood. Thanks again mad my haloween season. Great video!!
October 26, 2015 at 11:38 am
I remember playing this game Saturday in the morning when I was in primary school.
October 26, 2015 at 11:44 am
Well actually, I thought the height of the character was annoying. They don’t shoot straight ahead because of it. I guess you adapt to the fake perspective at some point.
October 26, 2015 at 11:57 am
Thank you doing this games guys. I LOVED this game as a kid. Great review. Thanks for brightening up my Mondays.
October 26, 2015 at 12:11 pm
Never played this one, but I played Goof Troop on the SNES, which is basically the same game only with Goofy in the main role and more kid-oriented.
October 26, 2015 at 12:13 pm
Never mind, I remembered it wrong, Goof Troop in nothing like ZAMN, but I could’ve sworn I’ve played something like a kid version of ZAMN on the SNES
October 26, 2015 at 8:22 pm
You might be thinking of toys the game based off the robin Williams movie, It’s kind of similar to ZAMN but has you fighting toy tanks and planes.
October 27, 2015 at 10:04 pm
Actually, zombie ate my neighbors is probably the toughest game on snes and goof troop is among the easiest one. Also, goof troop can be finish within an hour are so..
This one will go down as one of the best J&MM episodes. Too bad there isn’t a wealth of two player co-ops on retro consoles. I’m sure you’re measuring them out in doses, but this type of game brings out what’s best about your show. It’s the way your personalities come out through the game that is most engaging. Keep up the good work!
October 26, 2015 at 12:48 pm
Wasn’t sure if you didn’t know or chose not to open the trash cans and cabinets and drawers for items and goodies. Since they’re trapped sometimes (and I never found a way to tell) maybe you avoided it on purpose.
Great game though! I can tell I missed out with just the Genesis version.
October 26, 2015 at 1:10 pm
One of the best co-op games of all time!
October 26, 2015 at 1:57 pm
I’ll have to check this one out! This is a big reason why I love J&MM, because I get to find out about classic games that I missed back in the day (or didn’t have money for, because I was 8 years old when this came out).

Week 22 of 52: I would like to request ‘Archon’
October 26, 2015 at 3:17 pm
That looks like a good game?
October 26, 2015 at 3:22 pm
Taking one of my requests on my Birthday! Yay!
By the way, if the “Zombies” get too many neighbors, you lose the game- I’m not sure HOW much, but you get neighbors and you get “additional” neighbors to rescue basically, and eventually it gets down to like 1-2 neighbors unless you get “Additional” ones earlier- and if the “Zombies” kill them all, then you lose the game.
October 26, 2015 at 3:51 pm
Yes exactly. You start losing neighbors and you’re thinking “now I have less ground to cover.” Until you’re down to only one neighbor and the enemies can kill that neighbor off screen. Then it’s game over man.
October 26, 2015 at 3:35 pm
awesome video as usual!
whats up with the split between youtube and this site? I remember cinemassacre was mas main “go to” site for your videos, then you guys started uploading a lot to youtube, now its back to cinemassacre for the full monster madness experience!
October 26, 2015 at 4:07 pm
This game is horrible. I’ll never understand what people see in it. The controls for one are terrible. With enemies coming from every direction, you need a control scheme like Smash TV has or at least, a direction lock button. The screen space for 2 players is very small making the game even harder on 2 player game mode and the worst thing is that the game is ultra repetitive. And the fact it has more than 50 levels of doing the same shit over and over again only makes it worse.

LucasArts isn’t technically defunct, I believe, but as a company it is pretty much dead, and just reduced to a label much as Ataris is now. Disney now sources things like Star Wars games to third party studios from now on.
October 26, 2015 at 4:28 pm
I was wanting you guys to play this for a few weeks now. Glad it happened!
October 26, 2015 at 4:32 pm
I’m so happy you guys finally got to review that game, I bought it in 94′, spent the next 4 years mastering it, from the time I couldn’t afford more than 2 or 3 games a year, this was the highlight of those years, I still own my copy, played it solo, mostly, you guys rock!!
October 26, 2015 at 4:45 pm
My best friend and I used to play the genesis version for hours on end, what a great game.

Speaking of a mummy ‘book’, to me that always was Lot No. 249 by Conan Doyle, writer of Sherlock Holmes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lot_No._249
November 4, 2015 at 10:10 pm
Which was the basis for one of the 4 stories in Tales From The Darkside: The Movie
October 26, 2015 at 5:42 pm
PUNCH THE FUCKIN’ SHIT OUT OF THAT BABY!!!
October 27, 2015 at 11:39 pm
Yeah fuck that baby. What kind of parents let their giant toddler run around the backyard. And where do they buy those giant bottles? I’d also hate to have to change his giant diapers. That would be a lot of shit. And what does his mother have giant breasts to feed it. Id hate to see the destruction it did on her vag.
October 26, 2015 at 5:48 pm
Just to mention this if no one else has yet, if the neighbors are ALL killed, it’s an insta-game over. Later levels may have only one neighbor to rescue and if they die, even if you have full lives and health, it’s game over, man! GAME OVER!
October 26, 2015 at 5:55 pm
password feature actually can help if you use it for the secret pre levels. Plus theres a warp zone on the chainsaw level at the top left corner but you need a bazooka to open it
October 26, 2015 at 6:38 pm
The music in level 7 is actually from Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique. Great piece of music, check it out. It’s about an opium induced dream. And yes, it has been used in the Shining as well.
October 26, 2015 at 11:56 pm
I think the Genesis version is much better. And the codes are helpful to allow you to come back to where you left off too.
October 27, 2015 at 12:42 am
This was the last thing I played on The SEGA Channel before it went down. Now I always associate this game with SEGA & SEGA Channel.
October 27, 2015 at 10:52 am
Started re-playing this game because of you guys! Did you guys ever find Frankenstein’s secret laboratory? You find Vic completing his monster. You can kill the monster and grab a 1-up.
October 27, 2015 at 10:06 pm
I doubt that you read the comment to there Mike, but if you do, the fact is that the neighbors getting killed change nothing… at beginning. In fact, y
ou need to save at least one, and it become an issue when you’re farther and there’s only 1 or 2 in the level
October 27, 2015 at 11:24 pm
You definitly need a 6 button controller on the sega version otherwise switching weapons and items is hell. I’m glad you guys thought it was good. You should of mentioned each level has a title based on a horror movie. You also forgot to mention the bonus levels. It was a really great video I wish it was longer tho. It is super hard to get to the later levels. I’ve never gotten past one of the latter tremors stage. Thanks again for taking my request.
October 27, 2015 at 11:27 pm
Have you guys done toe jam and earl? That’s another one of my favorites. Me and my brother would rent it and play it all weekend. A few years ago he got me panic on funkatron for Christmas and I got him spy vs spy. Spy vs spy would be another great idea for a Mondays episode.
October 28, 2015 at 1:48 am
forgot the k in week
October 28, 2015 at 4:50 am
I can’t believe you actually did this one! awesome guys. The Sega Genesis version of this game is actually much harder and did not include a few things from the SNES version. So much nostalgia!
November 1, 2015 at 2:24 am
I heard about this game back then, but I never got to play it. Makes sense, since it’s on SNES. I’ll have to check it out some day, if I can.
November 1, 2015 at 2:25 am
Oh, it is for Genesis too. Well, somehow I managed to miss it!
December 13, 2015 at 1:20 am
If the zombies kill someone, you have 1 less person to save in the subsequent levels.
