    Awesome

  • October 7, 2015 at 3:36 am

Yeah, you could make an entire Monster Madness with all the shitty Troma movies out there, but thank god you won’t do that to us! ha! Thanks for adding to the Halloween spirit you guys! Love it!

Apparently Lloyd Kaufman’s last good movie. Fuck Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 1. Lame-ass jokes and a great deal of the effects are shitty CGI. Poultrygeist isn’t the funniest Troma movie, but the practical effects and gore spectacle at the end place it highly for me.

So many great moments in this movie! Would have loved to have seen some actual clips while you’re talking about them. If there’s a movie that deserves its own Review its this one. I would like to think that nobody would get mad if you Re-Reviewed this one sometime in the future, but even if they do who cares. Pretty please lol. Lloyd Kaufman forever!!!

        Err, watch while eating. LOL

  • October 7, 2015 at 4:20 am

Thanks for all the content guys. I love checking cinemassacre every night during the month of Oct. Ignore the critics and keep up the hard work.

That gives me a great idea, change the section name from “COMMENTS” to “SUCK JAMES AND MIKE’S COCK.”

Criticism IS actually bad. The word comes from “critter” and if you have watched “The Critters”, you know that it’s a very bad thing!

HaHa! I love this movie. So messed up. I probably like it more than The Toxic Avenger. Definitely one of the goriest movies out there.

Man…..I just don’t know about this new layout. Im all for James and Mike bullshitting, but I just don’t think it’s working for monster madness. Part of the fun is seeing clips of a movie and going “on yeah, I gotta see THAT!” Reviews like this are kinda lost on someone who hasn’t seen the particular movie they’re talking about. It’s basically just the guys feeling out. Monster madness is a time to inform others of some cool shit they may have missed, but I don’t know if this is working.

Did you guys ever cover ‘Hobo with a Shotgun’?
It might be on this site somewhere.
I looked around a little, but I’m lazy.

      October 7, 2015 at 6:14 pm

Yes please do hobo with a shotgun!!!! That movie is badass gory and crazy as fuck!!!

      • Paulmeister

        October 8, 2015 at 3:35 pm

I’m pretty sure James did review it, as I seem to recall. I’m not going to search for it for your sake though.

Poultrygeist grosses me the fuck out. In fact, most of Troma’s movies gross me the fuck out and I can barely watch them. Call me a pussy or whatever, but that’s just how I feel about it.

    • October 7, 2015 at 8:30 pm

Y’know, just because you admit it and it’s how you “feel” about it, doesn’t still mean that it’s not a bad thing. Because it is. But, since you’re inviting it, I will oblige you. Ok. You’re a pussy. Now, try harder to not be one.

    • Paulmeister

      October 8, 2015 at 3:38 pm

Gory content isn’t for everyone and I agree with you on this one — poultrygeist is one of the few films I refuse to watch because it’s so against any kind of decency.

    Where is my comment??

    • elvirus

      October 7, 2015 at 4:34 pm

Did you raise your voice against the godfathers of improv? So, bad luck, this is your own fault.

    • October 7, 2015 at 8:36 pm

Except that there’s a HUGE difference between fair criticism and just being a non-constructive dick. And this being the internet, there are TONS of people who are just seeking to bitch and complain, not for any other reason than to just nitpick. And judging by the kinds of people aren’t here sometimes, that’s probably what’s happening. That, and I sincerly hope that the people complaining, whether they think they’re right or not, aren’t really helping and aren’t going to change anything. Becuase, especially if all the videos have been pre-filmed, and they’ve already decided they’re going this route, it’s not like the so-called “critisism” is going to do any good.

I’m all for Mike Matei deleting these comments. They’re repetitive, redundant, and they’re not going to change anything, either way. Just because people “criticize” doesn’t mean that James or Mike are even the slightest bit obligated to listen or consider the criticism. And when it keeps showing up again and again and again, that’s redundant. Less repetition more actual conversation that’s going to matter about the topic at hand, rather than just a thousand identical comments barking at a fencepost.

OK skipping this year officially. I do not like videos of improved podcasts.

Troma Entertainment is a true inspiration. James Gunn worked with them, then directed Guardians of the Galaxy

  • October 7, 2015 at 10:21 am

Recommend Coons! Night of the Bandits of the Night. Funniest Troma movies I’ve EVER seen.

How James and Mike describe this movie, it reminds me of Chillerama.

  • Mac Tonight

    October 7, 2015 at 12:18 pm

Chillers was easily the best Troma movie for me although I love toxic avenger as well.

  • October 7, 2015 at 1:22 pm

    classic

    October 7, 2015 at 2:58 pm

Movies like this are way too lowbrow for me. All they manage to do is gross me out.

    October 7, 2015 at 3:12 pm

I could not have put it any better, Mike and James. I feel exactly the same way about the movie.

For what it’s worth, my friend Tom did the effects for it; here’s a photo of him and me (and another friend) at Stephen King’s home, taken this past Sunday:

I got to be honest to say this is one of the most disgusting movies I ever seen. A few hours after seeing this review. I found it on YouTube & wow I thought there couldn’t be an movie like this. I was wrong for one of the best straight from Tromaville.

  • October 7, 2015 at 3:21 pm

Dude! When Did James Get a Tattoo? I just noticed that today…

But the movie looks good, i’d have to give it a watch!
    MONSTER MADNESS!

  • akronymn

    October 7, 2015 at 5:36 pm

Mike and James going back and forth seemed to work on this one. I would like to see them have a little banter and disagree about a part of a movie. Maybe they would turn into the nerd and motherfucker mike.

  • akronymn

    October 7, 2015 at 5:39 pm

I like the set, is cage behind James the futon frame from the nerd room?

  • Santiago Gonzalez jr

    October 7, 2015 at 5:55 pm

James and mike should review V.H.S.

  • Roth Sothy

    October 7, 2015 at 6:43 pm

Haha Troma! This reminds of another horror comedy called BAD MILO from Magnet Releasing. I think you guys should do a video on that someday

  • October 7, 2015 at 6:59 pm

Is that an upturned Futon frame behind james?

  • October 7, 2015 at 7:32 pm

Regarding the Bruce Campbell quote: does this mean you are going back to only edited cinemassacre reviews?

    Jk I love you guys

  • DBZMagus

    October 7, 2015 at 8:04 pm

Well, this sucked. Got off on a huge tangent and I would have preferred the other style of review. These “unscripted” ones just seem very lazy.

    • October 7, 2015 at 8:46 pm

Good thing then, that you’re not the only person on planet Earth, or the only person on this site.

I mean if everything were catered directly to your selfish entitlement, i’m 100% positive the end result would be a hundred times worse. And yeah, i’m sure laziness was totally on their mind when they decided to actually make these a more in-depth discussion and back and forth dialouge between two people, the way it actually seems. Because clearly you know exactly what their intent was. And if it’s not delivered to you personalized one a silver platter, it’s obviously not up to standard. Maybe you should run this site. Actually, maybe you should totally just fire Mike and James and run Monster Madness yourself. Oh wait… that’s not your authority or your call to make? What’s that? You just watch these? And you’re free to sign off and leave instead of complaining about your entitlement not being catered to? Ah. Ok then. Well, I guess you’ll be leaving then. OK BYE.

      • Nadirion

        October 7, 2015 at 10:55 pm

“Because clearly you know exactly what their intent was.” So YOU know exactly what their intent is? What if it is just being lazy and careless? But you wouldn’t care since you’re so servile to James and Mike.

“If everything were catered directly to your selfish entitlement.” That seems to be what you want with people’s comments. You seem to want to run the site yourself.

    • October 7, 2015 at 9:20 pm

I prefer the scripted reviews too but some people like the unscripted stuff better. As long as the scripted reviews come out too, everyone wins.

I’m curious if James or mike have seen the movie turbo kid. It’s a great movie and I recommend it to people especially the fans of James to watch and I’m curious on what they think of it.

  • October 7, 2015 at 9:17 pm

omg Tromaville movies. Always batshit crazy.

  • danecookhater

    October 7, 2015 at 9:44 pm

Fuck this stupid jew bullshit. I’m sick of filthy fucking rat bastard kikes like Kaufman and other talentless pieces of dog shit and their scatological “humour”. I’d like to see a comedy about Kaufman and his fellow kikes being loaded into the gas chambers and ovens and going up the fucking chimney. Poof all gone. Bye bye kike.

    Love this movie.

  • October 7, 2015 at 10:39 pm

After watching this morning I made it a point to watch this after work. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so
    hard from a horror movie.
It’s so grotesque and over the top and the songs are great! Thanks for introducing me to this movie!! Suspiria is next! Different vibe but I’m sure it’ll be great nonetheless!

  • October 7, 2015 at 11:15 pm

The harder it is to make, the easier it is to watch, that is a great quote

I wonder when we get to see a Monster Madness all about movies like “Funny Games”, “Come and See” and “We Need to Talk about Kevin.”
Can’t you just picture all the fun to be had!

  • Paulmeister

    October 8, 2015 at 3:30 pm

Poultrygeist is definitely NOT for most people. It’s only for gore fans and fans of the obscene and grotesque. I understand some people really get off on seeing lots of crazy shit, but personally I find this movie completely fowl. I would never recommend this to anyone. There’s a big difference between the gore/violence in this and something like Evil Dead. I would let my kids watch Evil Dead, but Poultrygeist — no way. Almost any other Troma film is better than this one, like Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D., which is actually pretty great.

This is less a horror film and more just a gorification of putrescence film.

  • October 8, 2015 at 5:44 pm

do you James have “making of AVGN movie”?

  • Xeo

    October 8, 2015 at 9:14 pm

Guys, please, please do a sit down review like this for Redneck Zombies. It’d be a riot. That movie is cheesy ass B-rated horror-comedy gold!

You guys should definitely check out, “A Little Bit Zombie” it’s a great campy zombie comedy.
