May 20, 2014 at 9:16 pm
there was a new James and Mike monday…
May 21, 2014 at 12:49 pm
Hahaha! I was thinking the same thing. Man, this is the funniest thing i have seen in a long time.
May 19, 2014 at 12:12 pm
Oh fucking God Yes!!!! I haven’t been this excited about a movie since 1990
May 19, 2014 at 12:35 pm
What was in 1990?
May 19, 2014 at 5:20 pm
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came out that year, so most likely that. Or The Wizard I think lol
May 19, 2014 at 12:14 pm
Man, this is going slow as constipated shit… i bet next update wont be the last one either.
May 19, 2014 at 12:31 pm
well… duh the next update won’t be last, he still has to do music/audio. You expect him to be done with a movie with a snap of a finger? He has real life stuff like a 1 year old baby girl and wife to take care of. 😛
May 19, 2014 at 12:38 pm
Yeah in one of his previous updates, he said he started working on the other stuff already (music/sound). Also, there’s probably a higher chance that these last few FX shots are either ones that will take longer to complete, or they may be shots where James has a lack of contact/less contact with the people working on them (a guess based on the process he explained in a previous update).
He said he’d wait quite a long time to get some stuff back before assuming that the person working on the shot either forgot or had other things to do, so these might be in limbo (again, my guess). Or maybe it is going all smoothly at the same pace as before. idk.
May 19, 2014 at 2:12 pm
No, with last update i mean VFX update. I know he is still to finish the audio part. But i think he has been trolling us with the latest updates because 3 weeks ago or so there were already only a few shots left so you would expect them to be taken all off in one or 2 updates but now he is taking off only one shot per update. Since there are only 3 left i guess we will need to wait another 3 weeks to see it complete.
May 19, 2014 at 7:23 pm
oh so sound is already on the works??? 😀
May 19, 2014 at 4:59 pm
He’s been “trolling us” with his latest updates? I swear people use that stupid term so much it has lost all meaning.
“so you would expect them to be taken all off in one or 2 updates but now he is taking off only one shot per update”
You’re one self entitled prick, aren’t you? He doesn’t owe you anything and he’s not trolling anyone. You have no idea how simple or complex each shot may or may not be.
Independent movies take time. James doesn’t have an army of 200 people working at the same time on post production. If you don’t want to wait then go away and don’t watch his film. It’s that simple.

For Cain Nuke (and all others):
“We’ve come a long way. I went from managing 50 artists, down to 5. It was the biggest test I’ve ever had on my directing and organizational skills. It’s been a mentally exhausting process, but now the load is much lighter, so I’ve been concentrating more of my efforts on a bunch of other things, simultaneously, like getting the sound and music started, as well as working out plans for the release. EVERYTHING is all going on, at the same time.”
That’s why. :p
May 21, 2014 at 7:50 pm
Really? It’s a slow process. Try for yourself to edit in the worst case of scenario, thousands of frames individually. Possibly on your free time.
It takes time, it doesn’t just happen. I’ve no idea if James is actually paying for people to do this or it’s volunteers. (even though I kind of hope he is, but doesn’t seem like it)
Either way. Still takes a lot of time.

He’s managing people doing the VFX. These people might also have other things to do in their life and work as much as they can. It doesn’t matter if they take a little longer to finish because there are also other things that need to get done and both can be done simultaneously.
May 19, 2014 at 12:34 pm
Guessing that big one in the corner is an important and maybe complicated one. Probably the big ending.
May 19, 2014 at 2:11 pm
slowly but surely…
May 19, 2014 at 3:35 pm
Sooooooo close 🙂
May 19, 2014 at 3:51 pm
Three left, among them the one I follow.
May 19, 2014 at 4:14 pm
Way to GO, James! We’re rootin’ for ya!
May 19, 2014 at 4:23 pm
Are you going to start showing the Music and SFX board soon?
May 19, 2014 at 5:21 pm
Soooo close!! You should have a big opening night party and have it open invitation for fans :-). Would love to celebrate with you guys
May 19, 2014 at 6:43 pm
ALMOST THERE!! Keep plugging away, James!! Keep plugging away!! Then all we’ll have is music and sound!!
May 19, 2014 at 7:02 pm
Rough week? Or really hard VFX task? I figured you’d be done as fast as you’ve been moving, James. I’m not griping. Just observing. You go at your own pace. I’m just glad to see at least one has been removed. And even if not it wouldn’t be a big deal. Movies are hard to make.
May 21, 2014 at 7:49 am
Well, maybe it would be like last week when two updates were posted in one week. Or maybe that was two weeks ago. Or perhaps I’m dreaming that up and it didn’t happen, or I’m fucking up because of some time zone difference shit.

Getting even more excited for the movie to come out! You should upload a sample of the film score too haha! 😀
May 20, 2014 at 5:39 am
That’ll have to wait until he really starts to figure out what it’s going to sound like with Bear (the composer.) I just hope that Kyle Justin is going to be in there as the Guitar Guy, if only for the theme song. I wish he would be there for some other songs as well. I hope that he is 🙂 James, can you shed some light on this? Is Kyle in the movie?

May 21, 2014 at 1:24 am
So close I can taste it!
May 21, 2014 at 7:48 am
It tastes like shit, doesn’t it! I’m just joking 😛 But if it would have a taste, maybe it would be more like the original Koolaid. Or Ecto-Cooler. Or dusty plastic. Like a dusty NES console 😛
May 21, 2014 at 4:20 am
Stupid request but ask for Kyle, or anybody who know audio design and have published a album yet, they will help you tremendously in your work, and I HOPE TROMA will help you with the publishing, call Lloyd, He’ll tell you what is what, he’s a good guy unlike somes… You know who..?
May 21, 2014 at 7:47 am
I am pretty sure that they have the sound design stuff well in hand. Plus, it would probably be even better to ask someone like Bear McCreary, who is the composer on the project, because he’s more seasoned with sound. I hope that Kyle Justin is in the movie itself though.
Troma sounds like an excellent choice! But aside from them, another good choice might be Kevin Smith’s newer distribution company for indie films, Smodcast Pictures. Also, I’d love to see the likes of Lloyd Kauffman, Kevin Smith and James Rolfe do some movie together some day. That would be so cool! Who’s with me?
