I agree. They could use some funny introduction voice-overs. But about original videos… Well, you do have James and Mike Mondays each Monday (was called James and Mike Play before) and there’s only one new AVGN episode each month. I miss seeing some Christmas horror movie reviews though. I hope James is going to do some of those. And a AVGN Christmas special. Maybe do reviews of Santa Claus games and have him meet an elf and Santa or some weird shit like that! 😀

I completely agree, he is just pumping out the crappy “top” videos because they take little effort and bring him website traffic and views which in turn makes him money without making new content. It’s sad, how little he cares about the few fans that remain

I’m an adult, so I totally, 100% get that quality content takes a while. I don’t feel “entitled” to videos or anything like that.
That said, just as personal observation- it’s a little weak to have such a ratio of clip shows to actual new content. Sure, it’s.. better than nothing, of course, but I just can’t help but get the sad feeling of “hey, remember when we used to do AVGN?”

Yeah… I would love these top tens if he narrated them, but as it stands, they’re nothing more than clip collections pushed out to keep us busy, and that’s plain weaksauce. I’d personally prefer nothing. I fully understand that he has other stuff to think about right now, and I can deal with that; waiting a month for new stuff — or indeed, just a week now with the James & Mike Mondays — is totally fine. But coming on here and seeing new material, only to realize it’s yet another piece of filler, is… well, it’s disheartening to me.

Hmm, maybe it has something to do with James having his own child born fairly recently. I would imagine that spending time with one’s wife and newly born child takes priority over videos, right now.

I don’t know, I own all these, love to put on the episodes when I’m going to sleep or just need some background noise. Seen ’em hundreds of times. I don’t care much for these videos. I refuse to watch them after the first couple.

Just a minor complaint, but what’s with the title of the list ? What is a “game movie-clip” ? Is it like… a movie clip that’s inserted into a game (like in those Sega CD games), or maybe a cut scene in a game ? Well I’ve no idea, but what I know, is that it certainly does not mean a videogame adaptation of a movie. Unless “game movie” has suddenly that meaning. Maybe we should all start calling movies “movie books” since so many of them are adapted from books.
Anyway, don’t take my rant seriously. But seriously, what the fuck ^^ ?

Most of the games that were based on a movie franchise ended up to be miserable pile of shits! Thank god for the emulators that shows us how good it is that we didn’t buy many of those.
