You can get the song here
April 1, 2013 at 3:15 am
1:28 “Mike” looks like the dude that plays Joffrey on Game of Thrones.

June 15, 2013 at 5:37 pm
i like how james walks in the room to put away the game and you see the twilight poster on the door. and you feel like james had just walked into the twilight zone. and if only it was mr. bucket
April 1, 2013 at 3:23 am
Amazing great work!
April 1, 2013 at 3:27 am

April 1, 2013 at 3:29 am
Great acting, editing, everything. Great movie!
April 1, 2013 at 3:37 am
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I best order it on ebay before th eprice goes up like crazy because of james
April 1, 2013 at 10:48 pm
Its true! All the games cinemassacre reviews and recommends or even when they talk about how bad they are (video game or board game) the prices go through the roof. Classic gaming is SUEPR hot right now because of shows like AVGN and others. The prices of NES games are RIDICULOUS today!!
April 16, 2013 at 3:34 pm
Not always true. Prices of games go up simply because the generation who loved them in the past want them back when they grow up. The main reason why the prices go up for games like Tornado Rex, Mr Bucket, and esspecially Fireball Island is because the limited production runs for each game, the popularity of them, and finding one complete and intact is always a hassle. Maybe James helps with the memory a bit but it’s mainly general nostalgia for these things that drive up the price. Fireball Island was and is still a expensive game because of it’s limited run, the many many pieces that make up the game and it’s overall popularity 25 years ago, ebay has continually sold those things for 75-80 bucks in online bids before James even had a Board James show.
Nice Malachi Throne homage in the credits.
April 1, 2013 at 3:44 am
Wow this one was way darker than the other ones. Brutal!
April 1, 2013 at 3:47 am
hes dead jim
So…I’ve just registered an account just to tell you James, Mike, Bootsy… that this was brilliant!
Is this the end of Board James? Considering the circumstances of the video, I can’t see this series progressing much further.
Just…wow. I was honestly creeped by this. This series just took an AMAZING turn!
epic scream parody.. nice work.. Always enjoy the new content. every time I see a new video I’m like ” fuck yeah mudder fuckerrrrrsssssss!!! “
April 1, 2013 at 3:51 am
I liked the reference to Its a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World. Clever James!
April 1, 2013 at 4:02 am
Oh no…please tell me this isn’t the end of Board James! I love this series even more than the Nerd! ;_;
April 1, 2013 at 4:13 am
Why would you use a microwave? They’re complete bullshit.
April 1, 2013 at 4:17 am
Awesome Twilight Zone poster James! Oh, and great episode, too!
April 2, 2013 at 4:43 am
Ha! I thought the same thing! kick-ass poster!
April 1, 2013 at 4:41 am
BLACK CHRISTMAS fuck yeah!:)
April 1, 2013 at 4:55 am
When he said he was in the house, I thought it would be the bucket, but I was wrong.
April 1, 2013 at 4:59 am
Thundercats hooooooo!!! lol Good work as always James.
April 1, 2013 at 5:01 am
love it! Motherfucker Mike was very natural. He’s come a long way and we are all proud of his performances. Nice work on Bootsie’s death shot. Would have liked to have seen something shoved up his ass… maybe next time
April 1, 2013 at 5:06 am
This was amazing James and really scary. 4 Stars!
April 1, 2013 at 5:13 am
Great to have a sequel to the Mr Bucket episode.
Yeah, if someone made this kind of mystery/stalker board game, it could be really fun to play.
April 1, 2013 at 5:19 am
That was awesome!! XD I used to have this board game when I was little >__<
April 1, 2013 at 5:28 am
Great job on this James. I loved the whole “Scream” feel of the episode. You guys put a lot of work in on this, and it shows. =) So the question is, who plays the voice of the Dream Phone??? I sat here wondering if you actually found one of the voice talents from the real game. xD But NAHHH doubt it. Cant wait for the Nerd movie!!!
October 5, 2014 at 1:31 pm
For me there isn’t any doubt. The ‘Thundercats hooooo’ gave it away, it’s Bootsy Spankins P.I.
April 1, 2013 at 5:30 am
I liked the Ghost Busters 2 reference. “Wanna come over and play Boggle or Super Mario Brothers?” lol
Im supprised you never picked up on that the phone looks like a giant pink dildo. And they let little girls play with it!
April 1, 2013 at 5:36 am
That was awesome
April 1, 2013 at 5:45 am
April 1, 2013 at 5:46 am
lol now that was the darkest board james yet. fuckin awesome
April 1, 2013 at 5:52 am
I used to play this with my sister and I’m a guy…
April 1, 2013 at 6:02 am
April 1, 2013 at 6:04 am
Oh my God. My sister used to have that game. I completely forgot about it.
Also, was the music used when you first spoke to the mystery voice from “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” It sounds very familiar.
April 1, 2013 at 6:12 am
Holy shit that was funny! More of these!
Wow, James should find a boardgame with a background story like ET and make a movie about it. This is as good as the AVGN in my opinion!
April 1, 2013 at 6:27 am
So wait… given that the events of other Board James have been fairly continuous, does that make this the last episode?
April 1, 2013 at 6:42 am
Did anyone get the ghostbusters reference ?
April 1, 2013 at 6:50 am
I honestly didn’t expect it to go horror/comedy, until I looked at the running time…freaking hilarious!
April 1, 2013 at 6:58 am
Best Board James yet. The ending had me roaring. You’re golden James, thanks for the vid
April 1, 2013 at 7:03 am
Had to pause the video and check out a little of Night of the Living Dead when I saw James watching it, ended up seeing the whole thing cuz forgot how awesome it was lol. Then when its over I look at my tabs and its like “Oh yeah, I was watching this first”
btw it was really cool to see so much acting from Mike and James, pls do more mini-movies like this later
April 1, 2013 at 7:04 am
Amazing, you really know how to do a thriller!
April 1, 2013 at 7:07 am
Excellent. Can’t wait for real horror movies created by James. The style is brilliant! Especially the last scene, in which James is laughing is cool and in some way terrifying.
April 1, 2013 at 7:12 am
Haha! I really love these episodes. I actually jumped a couple of times. Keep up the good work !
April 1, 2013 at 7:17 am
Fucking great as always, cinemassacre guys!
April 1, 2013 at 7:29 am
Fan fucking tastic.
The editing was really good, the production quality was actually better than some of the shitty movies I’ve seen lately (Blood Night: Legend of Molly Hatchet, for example), James, your acting is really improving, I just can’t say enough good things about it. There was actual tension here.
So, yeah, I liked it.
April 1, 2013 at 7:35 am
Oh GOD! This was amazing!
Mr Bucket 2 – The Dream Phone
April 1, 2013 at 7:37 am
See what day it is?? The supposed end of Board James is obviously some kind of Aprils Fool. I am fairly sure about it Or else it’ll be like the continuity of a Tom and Jerry episode.
April 1, 2013 at 7:38 am
Oh god , why does the phone look like a pink sex toy ???
April 1, 2013 at 8:38 am
Maybe some girls do use it as a pink sex toy..ouch…!
April 1, 2013 at 7:42 am
Hahahahaha i had so much fun! ♥
April 1, 2013 at 7:50 am
April 1, 2013 at 7:54 am
Didn’t the trauma guy gave you his best blood recipies James ? That blood in the Mike scene looks like gatorade… Even better, the dried blood on the knife, looks like cake batter that has dried for five days … I think Ketchup would have looked better…
April 2, 2013 at 11:01 am
It’s okay dude. We all know YOU could have done far better. Right?
July 12, 2013 at 6:19 pm
This was literally the worst example I’ve ever seen of the “of course you could have done much better right” trope I’ve ever seen. You can buy a decent bottle of fake blood for around $5 at Amazon, so yeah, HE could have done far better.
October 5, 2014 at 1:36 pm
I’m sad to say, yeah I could have done better on the blood as well. And we all know James could have done better too. I really wonder why he decided to go for that stuff. Maybe he didn’t want fake blood all over the place.
Or maybe they had some of their chunky peanut butter shit recipe left
April 1, 2013 at 7:58 am
April 1, 2013 at 8:17 am
Please tell me this isn’t the end for James board show? Wow just suddenly dawned on me how much I sounded like the phone with that question.
April 1, 2013 at 8:18 am
Oh man, that the best Board James ever! In fact that seriously was one of the best things I’ve watched all year!! Very very funny stuff and I loved the noir feel
April 1, 2013 at 8:36 am
Dude, this was scary. Such a great twist ending! Such great writing! Such great cinematography! James, this is why your specialty is horror films! Amazing job!
April 1, 2013 at 8:40 am
Best Board James ever! I liked the Twilight Zone poster foreshadowing and this easily could have passed for a Halloween episode.
Thanks for making a great video on your busy schedule!
April 1, 2013 at 9:06 am
Wow, what a great episode!!! That was awesome!!!
April 1, 2013 at 9:16 am
So awesome, loved every second of It. I love the idea of a pschyco-toy saga cominng, its so good, great talent mixing humour and chills, Im ultra-mega pleased gentlemen
April 1, 2013 at 9:19 am
Great looking video guys, looks like your AVGN movie experience is really paying dividends to all of your other work as far as improved production and editing. Has been commented here already, but really, how did they get away with making that phone look like a huge dildo? Pretty sure standard 90′s phones didn’t appear that way…
If this is the last Board James, it is truly a tribute to the horror/comedy genre with nods to Scream, Ghostbusters, Gremlins, etc. So many quotes and plot/visual homages that I won’t even attempt to identify them all, but would love to see someone try to list them all in a future comment.
Last thought. In the style of movies such as Secret Window or Hide and Seek (and Psycho of course), my interpretation was that Board James developed dissociative disorder from playing so many shitty games with his shitty friends, finally killing them all in a psychotic rage by placing his murderous split personality into the Dream Phone. Fantastic imagination in using a bubble-gum girl’s game as the engine for a legitimate psychological thriller!
April 1, 2013 at 9:59 am
IS this the end of Board James? His two companions are now dead and the cops have shown up. They will think he’s nuts and take him away (If we’re following cannon, here).
I hope he clones his friends or something so Board James can continue.
but if this was the death of board james, I understand. Sad but if James is too busy with other things, then eliminating one of his tasks would be a logical step, albeit at the saddened feelings of his fans :[
April 1, 2013 at 10:06 am
I am so ashamed that I never gave these a chance until now. What a wonderful treasure trove. After this and the MR Bucket episode, Wonderful cinematography, and actually creepy.
Board James got intense quick!
April 1, 2013 at 10:07 am
James, not sure if you’ll ever read this, but you have a lot of talent in the horror movie genre. Obviously all those Monster Madness marathons are paying dividends on your ability to catch the fear and atmosphere you portray in these videos. Heck, if you can make Mr. Bucket and the dream phone seem scary, imagine what you could do with a real horror movie villain. After the AVGN movie, you really should look into making your own Intellectual Property horror movie franchise. The horror movie genre has been stale for some time. It’s all blood and guts shock horror now. Most horror movies fail to be scary nowadays. And I think you could revive it. Just a thought from a long time viewer.
April 1, 2013 at 4:01 pm
I second this petition. I’m not even a big horror fan, but yeah, you’re right– a lot of contemporary horror is geared towards shock-moment junkies and gore porn enthusiasts. A return to traditional slasher-flick techniques would be refreshing, however, I can’t say I’m confident that mainstream viewers have the same desires. Hollywood is a business that caters to demand like any other successful enterprise, so such a risk might not be worth it to the studio execs.
April 1, 2013 at 10:10 am
I have this game, and used to play it as a little kid. This and Mall madness were my favorites. That being said, watching you play Dream phone, has set the tone for my entire day.
April 1, 2013 at 10:19 am
Robert Englund did the voice for the dream phone :O
April 1, 2013 at 10:28 am
James’ unconsciousness developed an external personality and made himself murder his friends for multiple reasons. Take care to what he said: “Forget that it’s targeted towards young girls, it’s played like a detective game.” He deeply and hardly wanted that game to exist, and he’s frustrated he can’t play such a game. That is why a psychological mechanism made him schizophrenic and imagine a secret admirer through the phone, to feels like he plays such a game.
The admirer himself says “I just want to play a game!”, wich also makes a reference to a famous quote.Alongside the talk with his “admirer”, you can see james trying to conince himself he really got an admirer. That the reason why he went crazy and murdered his friends, to make the game as realistic and joyful as it would have been playing it as a board game.
April 1, 2013 at 10:47 am
So what you’re saying is either the phone is actually alive or the madness is all in James’ mind! Leaving fans open to interpretation is clever, especially in horror films like this! Great analyzation!
April 1, 2013 at 12:33 pm
Thanks! Imho the phone is not alive and there isn’t another person or entity than James, Mike and Bootsy here. I’m quite sure there is no voice nor sound coming out of that phone, it’s just the madness in James’ mind talking, as you said!
April 1, 2013 at 10:41 am
“This is a girl’s toy. This is for a little girl” – that line is a reference to the line “This is a girl’s bike. This is for a little girl” from It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad World
April 1, 2013 at 10:52 am
Freud would have something to say about the shape and color of that phone.
April 1, 2013 at 11:08 am
See if you can find “Electronic Detective” kinda like your phone game, but tracking a killer like James Wanted..
April 1, 2013 at 11:11 am
I’m serious man, you guys need to make more of these horror themed Board James vids.
They’re fucking fantastic.
April 1, 2013 at 11:26 am
This was pretty suspenseful and hilarious. After the phone blows up in the microwave, you should have said “Don’t leave a message after the beep, motherfucker!”
April 1, 2013 at 11:30 am
“Stop having so many kids, You …fucking asshole”
April 1, 2013 at 11:43 am
The best thing about this episode, aside from the flying knife-weilding phone and its awesome background music, is the symbolism. Like, when James enters the basement and there’s a “You are now entering THE TWILIGHT ZONE” poster on the door. Or when he’s getting pestered by the mysterious caller and in the background you can see the games “GUESS WHO?” and “AGGRAVATION”.
April 1, 2013 at 11:53 am
Great work guys! You just keep getting better and better.
April 1, 2013 at 12:06 pm
years of entertainment and still original..
I see a bright future for you, James.
April 1, 2013 at 12:16 pm
That was really cool. I love how you kept it all ambiguous at the end about whether the phone was doing the killing or it was Board James who went insane.
I personally would like to see more of videos like this on Cinemassacre, not necessarily having anything to do with Board James, just these small homegrown little horror flicks.
April 1, 2013 at 12:37 pm
That was so excellent
April 1, 2013 at 12:46 pm
Best Board James EVER! Amazing work guys!
At first I thought the Bad Luck guy was the killer. In the beginning, he said, he went to college and studied Bio-Engineering. I thought it was foreshadowing and I guessed he cloned himself and faked his death. Then the phone started to fly…
April 1, 2013 at 12:52 pm
You have a Biff Tannen expression at the end!
April 1, 2013 at 1:04 pm
Like the Dick Tracy of board games.
April 1, 2013 at 1:18 pm
Great job yet again!
April 1, 2013 at 1:28 pm
The last scene is Awesome!
April 1, 2013 at 1:34 pm
That was awesome; totally unexpected; I was expecting an April Fools video!
April 1, 2013 at 2:08 pm
That was amazing. Great job!
April 1, 2013 at 2:35 pm
April 1, 2013 at 2:53 pm
locations? waht locations, its in our homes, and local communitys? free.
April 1, 2013 at 3:12 pm
this is so freakin cool! everything from the camera to the music to the acting and writing was so campy and so entertaining. the shark bite line was so funny i played that part back a couple times. campy horror is a dying genre and i think the three of you could bring it back in a big way. seriously. next movie needs to be a slasher movie with your guys’ sense of humor added in. im going to watch this again and again.
April 1, 2013 at 3:22 pm
Great episode, but one question…
where does the series go from here!?
April 1, 2013 at 3:23 pm
I always look forward to seeing Bootsy again in these episodes. Not only for the great comedic elements he adds to the mix, but the terrific, amazingly catchy songs he writes that always accompany his appearances…they get stuck in my head for weeks.
April 1, 2013 at 3:32 pm
Much better than the Mr. Bucket episode. Dream phone felt like it was slowly ramping up in the tension/eventual reveal of the killer. I was hoping for James to look in the mirror above Mr. Bucket to reveal himself as the killer as a huge twist, however the ending I think pulled through with that in the end.
Loved the twilight zone poster too, really set the tone for the rest. And for anyone complaining this was a waste and it should have been a ‘basic review’, the review would have been the same 3 minutes in and that would be all.
April 1, 2013 at 3:37 pm
Awesome Film James!!!
I laughed a lot with… well is dead hahaha
You’re the best, also all your team are!
Regards from Mexico City
April 1, 2013 at 3:38 pm
My favorite board james episode by far!
April 1, 2013 at 3:39 pm
Thanks James, this was excellent!
WHATS UP WITH ALL THE CRAZY FILTERS?!
This episode had all the makings of a suspenseful yet hilarious home-brew horror flick, complete with an ambiguous ending. A few questions left on the table: how could James have killed Mike from the other side of the door? Why would James call the police in the end if he was responsible for the murders? Clearly James goes nutso in the final shots; but perhaps this doesn’t signify James’ guilt–our cause and effect could be backwards. Of course, let’s not forget James’ flip-out at the end of the last episode, which could be construed as an omen for James’ mental demise in this quasi-psychological thriller.
All of this conversation from an episode of “Board James”…hehehe…this Rolfe guy is good.
April 1, 2013 at 3:43 pm
lol this one really pulled me in.
April 1, 2013 at 3:52 pm
GREAT EPISODE IT COUGHT ME BY SERPRISE!!!!LMAO()-;
April 1, 2013 at 4:03 pm
this is why James’ reviews are the best, love when he makes it into a mini movie. funny as shit. MORE!!!MORE!!! SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK!!!
April 1, 2013 at 4:40 pm
James that was pretty fucking baddass! I think this was one of the best things I’ve seen here so far. I really hope you get to make feature films like this. I can’t imagine what you’d do with a better budget. You’re really like a one man film studio. Just need a make up artist.
April 1, 2013 at 4:45 pm
Brilliant !! love the video james, very funny.
April 1, 2013 at 5:19 pm
xelent video make my day hhahaha saludos !!!!!!
April 1, 2013 at 5:27 pm
All I can say, if this is an April Fool’s joke, good one James. And don’t worry fellow nerds, all he needs to do is hit “A-B-B-A” and they come back to life, if Ikari Warriors is any indication.
April 1, 2013 at 5:40 pm
April 1, 2013 at 5:54 pm
HAHA they topped the Mr. Bucket episode
April 1, 2013 at 5:57 pm
Now that was the best Board James so far, I was actually surprised when the killer`s been revealed to be the phone. I just hope it`s not the last of the series, even though it ends like it is.
April 1, 2013 at 6:00 pm
I see you’re “Stepping Up your Game”. Bravo! Malachi Throne would be touched by your Homage. As an Entertainer, your performance skills continue to improve markedly, and you are always a pleasure to watch. I’m constantly on the lookout for your next instalment in all of your series. Keep Up the Great Work!
April 1, 2013 at 6:02 pm
Holy crap, you guys put a lot of effort onto this one. Did not expect anything like this for a Dream Phone board game, lol. Nice job.
