    first!

    • January 15, 2013 at 9:55 pm

I hope James makes a video about people who add absolutely no content to a discussion.

      You know what’s bullshit…

Aw, I was hoping the gorilla would land the plane!

Want to see the same thing happen. Never did get how I always land the plane when I played it 20 years ago.

Damn, man ! What’s up with that memory of yours ? It’s pretty amazing, if you ask me. Remembering songs from Sabbath and Metallica from a one-second segment is already impressive enough, but remembering quotes from some episodes you made years ago, on the spot, is stupefying.

It’s great how you interact with your fans. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves !

  • January 13, 2013 at 1:54 pm

It seemed like you had a great time James. I know i would have if i was there.
Its cool how you had fans play some of the games you played/reviewed, and it showed that you weren’t Buuullllshhhitin about the difficulty ;)

I think I saw these two at MiDFur when I was dressed as Death, probably looked weird to see death doubled over pissing himself laughing at these two.

I mean the sesame street martians, I couldn’t see too well through the morphmask but unless there are two more running around it’s them

That looked like a bunch of fun! It’s really great to see that James is still a humble, friendly person. Many people change when they get famous, but I never really (after seeing many footages of you) saw you change.

I find it funny how this page was suddenly gone. I’ve already seen it though, on the Cinemassacre app. It’s just so funny! But there’s lots of questions that I don’t get why people don’t ask you… I’d take the liberty of asking them myself when I meet you someday :)

James, by next year those screams are going to be so intense you better build yourself an actual suit of collosal armor so that you may withstand any fatal energies that may peirce your soul! People love you man keep spreading that oldschool vibe!

  • January 15, 2013 at 2:27 pm

That was awesome, got plenty of laughs. I hope to see you live one day, James!

Hey James, did I hear/read correctly that you and the Mrs are expecting? Congrats!! Welcome to the dad club! There’s nothing like it, it can be challenging at times but worth every second! Best of luck!

This was a great MagFest. My dad and I were there, and we actually saw you guys twice. My dad was a volunteer photographer for a couple people in line xDD.

Some day you have to meet my cousin Billy. Him and you are both my idols, so yeah, seeing two of my idols meet and shake hands would be like the most legendary occurrence ever.

Looks like it was a fun convention. I’m not sure if I could have picked a favorite AVGN quote though as there are so many great ones like your rendition of the Addams Family theme or the “Milon’s shitty asshole” one from the Milon’s Secret Castle review.

  • January 15, 2013 at 4:40 pm

    freaking awesome!

    January 15, 2013 at 5:49 pm

HAHA! Ya james must have enjoyed himself better this time, considering his flight probably didn’t get cancelled and then resort to a rental. lol

I don’t even know where Magfest is so … fuck. lol

Glad the panel went well. Nice vid!

    January 15, 2013 at 11:14 pm

Awesome video! Funny story about that Top Gun NES game. I had that as a kid, and the cartridge would get stuck in my NES and I had to remove it with pliers every single time. What the hell???

    January 15, 2013 at 11:36 pm

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun, one of these days I’m going to have to get James to sign my copy of Simon’s Quest.:)

  • Sylveria

    January 15, 2013 at 11:45 pm

    Mario 1, 2, 3, World, Yoshi’s Island, 64, Sunshine, Galaxy, New, New Wii, Galaxy 2, New 2, 3D, New Wii U.

The Wii U one would be 14 if I’m not missing any.

These were some great clips from the panel. I plan on attending next year, and I’m really looking forward to it.
It was nice of James to spare the attendees from playing Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

This is a really cool idea, James! I like the way you got the fans so involved, then still gave them what they wanted with the quote reciting. Seems like you made a lot of people happy, really fun stuff. The games on projector is something I’d do, a little whacky at first, but totally cool turn-out. Nice effort. Original n’ Entertaining (even for someone who wasn’t there). You could decide to not really care about people who like your reviews, but you seem to love it everytime, really nice. One question I’d like to see answered in a room full of fans is “How many of you still play NES?”. Answers might be very interesting. Maybe because I love the reviews so much because the only games I play are on real consoles (NES,SNES,Genesis)and like you still have my ‘favorite’ NES controller (coming from that great shiny box I received on Xmas of 88′,Canada, we were slow to catch on I guess),and I hope fans do the same!Panel videos could suck, but this ruled, felt like I was there and would of enjoyed myself.Keep it up!I’m f-in dying for a new NES review, anything…. haha, watching self-induced re-runs will get old quickly! And when all this craziness calms down, consider making an appearance in Canada! We’re all watching too!

I was there! MAGfest was indeed an AWESOME way to start the year :D

I had a lot of things I wanted to tell you, James, but I got all nervous,I started stuttering and on the top of that my english is not as good as I’d like, but still I’m happy I got to meet you in person and give you a hug :)

    Yip Yips, weirdest cosplay ever.

  • January 19, 2013 at 9:08 am

I’d say NSMB Wii U is the 12th console entry. IF we count SMB 1, SMB 2 USA & JAPAN, SMB 3, SMB World 1 and 2, 64, Sunshine, Galaxy 1 and 2, NSMB Wii and Wii U.

  • January 21, 2013 at 2:30 am

Thank you for giving the “latest videos” links image stills on the main page. Glad yo listen to suggestions!

  • January 21, 2013 at 2:52 am

I love these panels. Some of my favorite videos. Have I suggested before that you do your own version of the Mailbag videos you did for that one shitty website? You can even bring Mike in to help answer some maybe or whatever.

    DO IT JAMES.

They seem easy (well, easier relatively speaking) and are lots of fun not only for us, but you too!

Wow, best AVGN pannel ever!!!! That was really impressive those quotes from years ago you remembered and acted out as well if not better than in the original videos. Wow again haha. Damn, good job! :)))
