Corman confirms that parts of it were directed by the (now famous) people you guys mention in the video. Btw, not to spoil anything, but present-day Nicholson poking fun at the nonsensical nature of the plot is just hilarious!

Incidentally – the Rick Moranis musical remake from the 80s is one of my favorite movies ever – I’d love to see a Rolfe Review ^^
